We tried this chef-inspired place for dinner during our stay at the hotel-casino... The place itself had more of a vibe of a hotel lobby than that of a restaurant....a bit too spread out as well? Also, it was too quiet for such a spacious layout. Definitely needed to crank up the music. That can be said of this entire hotel-casino. Possibly catering to senior's finicky sensibilities, but overhead music is very subdued throughout the hotel-casino...and for me personally, it made the place feel a lot less festive. We also had this wonky table, but our waitress tried her best to fix it. In any case, we ordered the Lobster Lollipop for appetizer, a Caesar Salad, and a BBQ Rack with sides...all to share. Well, I can't complain...all the foods were delish. The flavors were rich and buttery. I would have liked to try one of their entrees, but I just wasn't hungry, so we just ordered 1 entree, 1 salad and 1 app to share. We came to Harrah's Cherokee for an overnight stay. We chose Gut Fieri's for dinner and my friend used her Diamond $100 dinner perk, so I covered the tip. Let's start with the positive. The service was very good. Our server was attentive and friendly. The food: Oh my - I'm glad this was basically free because wow, not good. Chili - we both ordered. It was cool not even luke warm, like the cheese on top was put under a broiler to melt but everything else was cool. I LOVE chili and I could only eat a couple bites. I did not try the cornbread muffin, I'm a cracker girl, so can't review it. The wings were edible but just ho-hum. Wish they were crispier and the sauce had more flavor. Buffalo wild wings are much better and cheaper. The chocolate cake was HUGE! They must keep this in the fridge, because it was cold and the waitress even mentioned it tastes better the longer it "sits out" so... I took two bites, just so disappointing. Prime Boneless Ribeye was very good. The mashed potato with the broccoli was perfect. However, it was quite greasy. It was quite heavy but it was good. The butter I suppose made it quite heavier. My wife and I stopped for some gambling and decided to try out Guy's restaurant. Should have read the reviews first I guess. We got seated fairly quickly with no reservation and that's where the "quick" stopped. Ordered two drinks, soda and a lemonade. These two basic drinks took over 15 minutes to come out. We knew what we were going to order as we read the menu prior to sitting so we ordered the food along with the drinks. After waiting for an hour and still seeing no food we decided to get the food to go so we could eat it in the room. The waiter apologized and stated there was a large party that had the kitchen running behind. I could understand, however; there were a LOT of empty tables. Very concerning that one party can throw the entire staff off their game. Got the food back to the room and it was ok. Too bad it took so long to come out that the pretzels were mushy and room temperature. The pasta and steak were edible, but not great for the price. The only saving grace was the free cake that was thrown in due to the long wait time. If you have time and money to burn this place may be worth it. This is the second time we have eaten at Guy Fieri's Kitchen inside the Harrah's Cherokee. Those AMAZING Bloody Mary's are definitely what pulled us in and then the food just keeps on giving. This time I tried the Lobster Lollipops and OMG are you kidding me?!?! I've had something similar in the past (Lobster Corndogs they called them) but these were miles above anything else. Restaurant has a funky vibe, and the food has cool presentations. The trash can nachos are brought in a tall metal container and the server then releases them onto a plate. Lots of pulled pork included. The lobster mac & cheese is really but super rich. we got the side dish $12.95 as an appt as that was plenty for the three of us to share. Food not great, service rushed, ambiance sucked! Had reservation asked for table in less crowded spot, but we were put by the kitchen door. Constant traffic door bumping my chair, servers in and out over and over. Asked to move, but no other tables available we were told, though could see multiple empty tables in much quieter area of the floor, either lots of room. Probably one of the best hot chicken I've had. We stopped for brunch before head back home. The menu is limiting for breakfast or brunch so we ordered the French toast and the hot chicken and waffles. Took a bit with very few patrons at 9am. But oh the food was absolutely delicious. The chicken was so moist. They looked burnt but was sooo good. The hot honey didn't have enough kick but nonetheless delicious. The waffles were like waffle potatoes and I didn't realize they were bite sizes waffles. Excellent spin on chicken and waffles. The French toast was extra thick but the creme anglaise sauce was the bomb. Berry compote was just the right amount of sweet and tart. Atmosphere was very nice, forgot you're in a casino hotel. Since our last visit we had a better all around experience, so I'm adding a star and a new review. We were back on a Saturday night for dinner. First up we had made 9 PM reservations. We realized around 6:30 that we were all starving and tired and couldn't imaging waiting until 9 for dinner. (I was working on 3 short hours of sleep from all the casino fun Friday night/Saturday morning!). Our party had also shrunk from 6 to 4 people, so we asked the hostess to move us up if they could. We ended up being sat at 8. Our server was great. The place wasn't busy, so food came out at a good pace. I forgot about the delicious "OG"steak sandwich I had last time, so I split a Cobb salad with JD. Plus shared with the table the pretzel bites, Brussels and lobster Mac and cheese. Everything I tried was good. The pretzel pig pie is pretzel bites, beer cheese, Parmesan + provolone cheeses, bacon + scallions. I would have liked a lighter pretzel with a crispy outside and fluffy inside. My favorite bite of the night ended up being the lobster Mac and cheese. I wish I would have saved room for more of that!! Since we were leaving the next day and didn't have a cooler with us we left behind a LOT of great leftovers. Such a bummer. We decided to have dinner here and checked in. The wait was about 30 minutes which was just right so we could have a drink. We ordered and the food came quickly. One person ordered the Mac n Cheese Burger, he said it was really good. Another ordered the Double Fried Chicken with Brussel Sprouts which was fried chicken strips with gravy. We were on the wait list to dine in the restaurant, but we decided to eat at the bar. We had the ribs which were delicious. The lobster mac and cheese was mediocre and the Cole slaw was overloaded with mayo. The Brussels sprouts were delicious. They have a nice bourbon selection, though I chose the Prosecco. This new part of Harrah's is really nice and peaceful and the bar is lovely. I would definitely recommend trying it out, mainly for the excellent service! read more

From the moment we sat down, the server/bartender was kind and attentive. and the flavors did not disappoint. My husband had a burger and fries and French Onion soup. He said the soup was very good. Unfortunately, it wasn't heated up enough. The burger was tasty but the fries were only warm, almost like they had been sitting under a warming light for a while. Wife's salad was good quality, but had no taste whatsoever. We even asked server to bring pepper and salt. After adding those, it had a little flavor, but still very disappointing. The presentation alone is worth the order; watching the can lift off to reveal the nacho mountain is just fun. I'm not sure why Guy's has such a low rating??? From the House Drinks, Food and service staff my experience has never been less than a 4 star rating!!! The burgers are out of this world, the wings sauces are so yummy! The Smoked Old Fashion is one of my faves. The only thing that stopped this from being a five star is honestly the prices... but overall it would be nice if you could save some extra money on food cost so that you could spend more money on alcoholic beverages and gambling.
