Looking for somewhere to eat before going to the casino. The staff was very friendly. My significant other ordered the flounder...it was awful! Had a horrible taste to it. I ordered the seafood plate, shrimp scallops and pollock. The shrimp and scallops were alright but the fish lacked something. The slaw, fried okra and hush puppies and corn muffins were good. The chicken was excellent but didn't love the sides or cornbread. I also don't eat hush puppies or cole slaw so asked if I could replace with a side. The cashier said no but lady behind her (I assume manager) said yes. Would I go back? Meh. Idk. Do not come here if you are expecting fresh fried food. The oil or the breading or the second fry really made the batter taste so... bleah The salad was okay but we were missing the tomatoes. We asked and they said they ran out of cherry tomatoes. We asked if they had normal tomatoes or something else and they finally said they could cut those for us. The fried butterfly shrimp was very tasty but not as good as Louisiana (hard to beat fresh). The hush puppies & corn bread were decent as they should be & the mashed potatoes & gravy had a nice taste as well. The atmosphere was pleasant & the prices were fair. The counter workers weren't super helpful but nice. I was waiting in line, not realizing that another register was open & instead of the cashier/server telling me she was available, she just stared into space (I guess they're not paid enough to care). The name says it all. Fried seafood and chicken. Pretty straightforward menu. Order at the counter and they bring it to your table. Restaurant was clean and service was quick. I found the seafood combo slightly over fried. The fish, scallops and shrimp were a bit dry but tasty. Slaw was mayo-based and slightly sweet. Overall, it was good but not great. I was with my family on a day trip to the Smokies, and stopped by here for a quick bite. We saw a lot of good reviews on Google, but let's just say it might be because they didn't want anymore BBQ. The chicken did not have any flavor besides when you did it into the sauce. The cole slaw was a bit bland, only because I like it with a bit more spice to it. The mac and cheese was pretty good, pretty creamy too. The shrimp tacos were ok, not the best. Personally, I'm not sure if i'm a huge shrimp taco person either. The service was mediocre. The cashier did not speak english at all, so don't ask them if they prefer something over the other. Overall, not the best place to come, but if you want to try it, go for it. read more

We got a takeout order to contribute to a dinner with Joanna's kinfolk in Cherokee, NC. We got the 12 piece fried chicken dinner with macaroni and cheese and coleslaw. It also came with hush puppies. The food was delicious. I love chicken thighs and I ate two. Joanna is very picky but she loved the chicken breast. I'm not a big fan of Mac and cheese, but theirs was delicious. A great contribution to a dinner that included Indian bean bread, boiled cabbage and beans with homemade hominy. I highly recommend All Fried Up if you like fried chicken. The food was decent. However, the girls at the front desk should be ashamed of themselves. They were rude, especially the you girl with the long hair! We could barely understood what she was saying, and we're trying to keep light of that when she yelled at my mother. The other lady, we asked her for condiments and she pointed to the girl who was on her phone in the corner like she's waiting on you so just wait for her. It was a very unpleasant experience for both of us and we will never go back!! So if a greeting or smile or thank you mean anything to you at all do not go there. The owner or manager should be ashamed of themselves for hiring these people with no personality, and if they had one, they were certainly hiding it from the public. All I have to say is it's become a shame that you can't go to a restaurant and people understand that you're hard of hearing and a language barrier makes it that much more difficult. It's not that it should be embarrassing or aggravating to you to deal with a customer like that. It was my mother and I didn't appreciate it. Shame on the young lady shame shame shame. Stopped here in full crisis mode after the wife and I had a craving for KFC, only to find that Cherokee's KFC was gone for good. Well, who needs it?! Good riddance! All Fried Up is better! Seriously, the fried chicken here is so perfect, you won't believe it. And all the sides are top notch too! Another thing that makes them better than the colonel is that they sell beer. Eat at your own risk. My boyfriend and I stopped here and at first thought it would be ok because the menu looked decent. Then we stepped up to the counter, they asked to take our order and the cashier's personal cell phone rang. He answered it and immediately stepped away. Didn't even excuse himself. Just walked off. Another cashier walked up and asked if we were still with her. Figuring that the guy answering the phone was just having a day, we ordered. While we were ordering someone came up to tell the cashier they were out of ice. The cashier said ok but did nothing. We walked to a table and chose the least sticky one that didn't have garbage on it. My boyfriend went to get a sprite and it was out- soda water only. When the food came, the seafood nachos my boyfriend ordered had ingredients not on the menu. I ordered the blackened fish and it was sooooo salty- like epically salty. The green beans were clearly from a Del Monte can. Don't get me wrong, I like salt and salt all my food heavily, but by the time I got home I was dying of thirst. Here's where it gets good. As we were finishing a guy came by to clear our trays. He asked if I had used my tartar sauce because the lids were still on. I told him no and he said good because they reuse them. We left the restaurant and decided we'd never return. This decision was solidified when an hour after leaving we had to pull over because my boyfriend got sick from his meal. The restaurant looks nice for the most part, though the bathrooms and some damage (walls/floor) could be fixed up and made better.
