So I just recently had Zaxby's for the first time, not this location, and it was amazing, hot, and fresh. That being said, I was excited to check and see that there was a location less than 2 miles from my job as my colleagues and myself are often looking for places to frequent. My employer also caters lunch for our entire floor approximately 12 times a year so I thought maybe this could be in our rotation. When one of my colleagues said today let's try Zaxby's, I was super excited and quick to place my order. Some of my colleagues passed but I didn't question, just thought they didn't want. Until we received our food. The person that suggested it had never been to Zaxby's before and said she would never go back. Her tenders were small, cold and nothing special. My wings were also luke warm, dry and soft. I've had better at Publix. I also ordered a salad and that's where I lost all hope. Please look at the cucumbers that I paid extra to add to my salad. WHY would anyone put soft, mushy, clearly past their use by date to a salad. They looked like someone cooked them. They were falling apart and slightly slimy. So disgusting. I couldn't even bring myself to eat the salad and even if I had, they didn't give me the dressings that I asked for. Such a disappointment when I had high hopes for what could've been our new go to. Now I see why this hasn't been in our catering rotation for at least the last 3 years. First time at Zaxby's and we were pleasantly surprised. We both got the chicken finger plate and everything was hot, crispy, and delicious. The Zax Sauce? Absolute fire. We tried to order the cheesecake bites but somehow ended up with fried cheddar bites instead. They looked alike but definitely not meant to be paired with strawberry sauce. The owner needs to completely wipe the staff and start fresh because twice they have put non sweet tea in our drinks instead of Dr Pepper which is what we ordered. We also got the banana pudding milkshake and they did a birthday flavor. The cookie packaging smells like marijuana and the food is terrible. I never found out if the food was up to par, because I left after seeing how filthy the bathroom is. There is black scum all over the base of the single sink and the toilets need cleaning. Came in today for a quick lunch. Soon as I came in, I was immediately greeted and I ordered the Zaxbys signature sandwich. The sandwich was so good and it came on a plate with crinkle fries and their zaxbys sauce! Their zaxby sauce is so good, I could dip anything in it! The fries were cold broken probably at least an hour old the toast was hard, cold and torn and the chicken was cold. I told her about my food and she got really sassy so I asked her is there a phone number I could send a picture of the food to her. She finally gave me the phone number and I never heard back from her. Food was good but when I went through the drive through at the window Justine had an attitude off the bat. We had 2 different orders. We asked for extra sauce and she said it would be $0.25 each and we said okay hold on and get her $0.75 for 3 extra sauces and when she came back out with them she basically threw them in my hand, one of them fell on the ground because of it and she had an attitude that she had to get me another one to replace it. I have eaten here at least 50 times within the last 2 years. The service is always great and the food is hot and delicious. I always ask for two Zax sauces, and they have always happily given them to me, free of charge. Today, I went through the drive through and ordered my usual kickin chicken sandwich meal and when I got to the window I asked for two sauces, as usual. The lady tells me as she is running my card that the sauces would $.25 cents extra and proceeds to hands me the receipt, showing the additional charge added. I have two concerns about this. Number one - it is absurd and ridiculous to charge extra for condiments, and I have never been charged for them before, so I naturally assumed that they were free. Number two - I did not consent to having that additional charge added. I was only informed after the fact. I politely asked to speak to a manager and I was greeted by a women who had a terrible demeanor and obviously did not want to be bothered to deal with me. I explained the situation to her and she left and another woman came to the window. She was actually polite but she refused to refund me for the sauces and clearly was not willing to listen to reason. I will not be coming back due to the poor customer service that I received here. You have successfully lost a loyal customer, over little packets of sauce. Thankfully Magoos AND PQD just opened up in the Altamonte area, so I have plenty of other options for chicken tenders.
