Taste: 4/5 Value: 4/5 Ambiance: 5/5 For a fast-food restaurant, this place has a surprisingly fun and fresh vibe. It feels like a mix between a quick-service spot and a trendy, modern restaurant, with colorful decor and a playful atmosphere that makes it stand out. Prices are fair for what you get, the food was solid all around, and (as the name would suggest) they have really good sauces. We ended up sampling a bunch of them and honestly liked every single one we tried. They add a lot of flavor and give you a chance to mix things up depending on your mood. It's a good spot if you want something casual and quick but still a little more exciting than your typical fast food.

The fries were great! The chicken is solid.

The classic formula, chicken tenders, and sauce! This place is not trying to be completely new, but instead leaning heavily on what people who want tenders like. Sauce! The KFC sister restaurant Saucy was a tasty place, the ambience was cool, the ordering was electronic, and the meals were simple. I tried a few sauces each of them I enjoyed but not more than any of the other popular chicken joints signature sauces. The chicken was crisp, moist and just a tad on the salty side. I enjoyed the fries the most honestly they were well seasoned and I had more fun dipping those than the chicken. I'd say this deserves a spot with all the other popular chicken places.

KFC is a family favorite. Imagine our surprise seeing Saucy here in Orlando, which we have never heard of before we drove past it! We waited until the next day and decided to use Uber Eats app for pick up which I'm glad I did because they had so many promos! Not only did we get two of the 15 tendie box (4 sauces per 15 tenders) for $22 each box, we had BOGO free chicken tacos (max 6), BOGO free sauce flight (4 sauces x 2) and free Key Lime Cake for purchase over $20. We also ordered french fries. This was more than enough for 5 adults and three kids with plenty of left overs for no-cooking fuss the following day! Items we had: Chicken Tenders saucy chick'ito bbq tacos saucy chick'ito kimchi tacos Sauces: creole honey mustard saucy's sauce thai sweet 'n spicy saucy ranch spicy mango chutney peri peri ranch sweet 'n saucy bbq jalapeno pesto ranch Side: Fries Desssert: Key Lime Cake First impressions: The restaurant reminds me of a T-Mobile store but not in bad way! The magenta really captures your attention and it's an awesome color from the familiar KFC red theme. The order was promptly filled ready to go. We were greeted with a friendly face and wonderful customer service. CHICKEN: These chicken tenders were pretty big! They were so hot and fresh, it was perfectly golden. Biting into it? So so juicy with familiar KFC seasonings. SAUCES: I loved the variety! We've got Indian spices in the Mango Chutney Asian inspired Teriyaki and That Sweet and Spicy. Creole inspired honey mustard! I wish they didn't come in such small containers though. I need sauce with every bite and you can easily run out of sauce. I especially liked the Jalapeño Pesto ranch. FRIES: I loved their seasoned fries. I think there's already so much flavor in the chicken that you may need additional water when you start eating these fries. I expected to buffer chicken bites with a side that was more bland but just expect to be immersed in so much seasoning from chicken, fries and sauces KEY LIME CAKE in a can. Whoa! This cake is very dense and absolutely delicious. While I like to taste more of the key lime citrus flavor this cake was just so good I didn't mind. The icing seems to be the cream cheese type, so good!!!! SUMMARY: Overall five stars because everything was good from start to finish. I've read other reviews for Dine in so just keep that in mind that I ordered ahead for PICK UP via UBER and my order was actually ready before the expected time. All the food was fresh. All the sauces were great. Flavors great all around. Love this as a great fast food option if you're ever in the area.

I love this fast food concept and rebrand!! The vibe and atmosphere is fun and fresh, ordering was easy, service was friendly, and food was really good! We got the Big Box and the 1 Tendie, 1 Sammie combo with the Hot Honey Watermelon Refresher and Peach-Mango Lemonade Freeze. The amount of food they gave us was very generous and the Big Box was definitely made to share between two people (or enough to have leftovers). I prefer the tendies to the sammie overall, but the fried chicken on both was juicy, seasoned well, and were a good size (bigger than Popeyes tenders). I also loved the variety of sauces; our favorite was the Spicy Mango Chutney, which was curry forward. I also think these fries are some of the best fast food fries I've had -- they were crispy, crunchy, and had a nice seasoning. Plus, they gave us a ton. Both drinks are very refreshing, but be warned that the Hot Honey Watermelon Refresher has a spicy kick right at the end; we loved it, but could see how others might not. The guy behind the counter was nice enough to offer us a sample of it before filling up an entire cup. Highly recommend!

I have never even heard of this restaurant before pulling in here. But knowing it was KFC had me intrigued. They serve only chicken fingers here. But in bowl, tacos and plain old chicken finger platters. The draw is the variety of sauces. There were so many to choose from. I'll tell you the hottest item was the kimchi taco. But the best item was the teriyaki chicken finger with crispy Brussels sprouts. My son had never had a Brussel sprout before and LOVED it. The service was great they walked us through the menu and explained everything. The interior of the restaurant was so interesting with the dripping ceiling and had plenty of seating. I love the concept and would bet the teriyaki bowl again. We also tried the funnel cake bite desert which were good but not worth a dollar a piece.

I really enjoyed Saucy & I absolutely Loved the concept . I ordered a 6 piece tender meal which came with 2 sauces of my choice , coleslaw, fries toast , & a drink . I chose the Saucy signature sauce & Jalepeno Ranch with my meal and then the Pineapple Mango lemonade freeze. The food was done quickly and the fries and chicken were seasoned perfectly to me & that was before I even tried the sauces. The liking of the sauce is definitely based on preference. The saucy signature sauce was my fav. I will say since I was dipping both my fries & tenders I ended up ordering another sauce to try which is an extra $.049. I got the Smokey bacon ranch. So out of all 3, Saucy sauce is still my fav ( it kinda reminds me of Zaxby's Zax sauce). The freeze was delicious as well. I would def come back to try more sauces & other drink flavors. The ambiance was quiet while I was there and the decor is cute. Now I couldn't leave without trying a dessert so I also ordered a key lime cake , which comes in the cutest jar that's shaped like a soda can. It was good and moist . When you come in you can order at the kiosk if you're paying with a card or if you have cash you can pay with a person at the register .

Ordered from Saucy by KFC on UberEats and overall, it was a solid meal! I got the Big Box with 6 tenders and the Key Lime Cake in a Can to try something different. The tenders were okay--a little on the dry side and honestly too crispy for my taste, but the real highlight was the sauces. Definitely worth trying if you're into bold flavors! I'm a huge sauce gal. The cake in a can was decent, but I'm not much of a sweets person, so it was more of a curiosity buy for me. Very rich and filling, though, so if you've got a sweet tooth, you'll probably love it. Presentation is cute too. For drinks, I had the Passion Fruit, Orange, and Guava juice, which was kinda mid. Way too much orange flavor overpowering everything else. Would've loved a more balanced mix. All in all, a pretty filling meal with some hits and misses. If you're curious about the sauces, I'd say give it a shot!

Saucy is a new (late 2024) concept from KFC, formerly known as Kentucky Fried Chicken. I feel like Colonel Sanders's Great Great Grandkids got together and were like "Whoa dude... let's take Pop-Pop Harland's delicious food and recipe and change a few things about it and start a new restaurant that just serves everyones favorite food.... chicken tenders... Kinda like Raising Cane's but instead of one sauce... let's make a bunch". Ordering (inside at least) is through a kiosk. I will say to pay attention to the pics as some "combos" have fries, and some do not. So pay attention! I was there twice and each time someone came by to assist with ordering. It's usually just fighting with the terrible response of the touch screen, and having to tap in specific areas rather than the entire big picture. It's a bad UX, but I'm a software guy so I pick at the little annoying things too much. Merlin had the best UI Ever! The food comes out fairly quickly, and the tenders have been hot and juicy each time... Oops, is "Hot and Juicy" a Wendy's Trademark? Sorry Dave. Maybe you and the Colonel can fight it out in hell! Back to the tenders... I'll say the chicken part is cooked nicely... completely cooked but super soft meat inside. The breading stayed on as I ate it (unlike Raising Canes which falls off) which was nice, but it was a bit too salty for me. For fries, they're nice and crispy, but on each visit, they weren't piping hot, they weren't cold but could have been more fresh. They DO give you a lot of them though. I was full on a 3 tender meal due to the amount of fries. The Medium Drinks seem like smalls at other places, so they could do better there with sizes of cups. Also each time, they called my name at the counter, then as I'm walking up to get my order, someone carried it to my table. Either pick one... Deliver it or don't call my name! Both made me look dumb. (Raising Canes calls your name and you go get it... simple and not embarrassing). It was like I was escorting someone to my table. Also each time, they gave the food and then came over with the drinks. There's too many people working there standing around. The real disappointment was with the sauces... which is what Saucy is supposed to be about. I think I tried 6 of them so far and not one was a WOW. For me, nothing beats McDonald's Sweet and Sour, but that was one of the OG sauces. It's all personal taste, so be your own judge there. At least there's more than one (Sorry again, Raising Cane's). Extra Sauces are only 40 cents so I got the Honey Mustard for French fry dipping. And if you leave a positive review on Google, you can get a FREE SAUCE!!! Way to incentivize... "Hey man, if you tell the word how great we are, I got 4 shiny dimes for you!" They have dessert in a "can" which seems like a "modern" throwback to their little bucket parfaits from back in the day! They're 4 bucks each which is a lot so I skipped. It's like they're making "easter eggs" to see if you see the KFC call-backs. Overall, the tenders are good and the meal was 8.99 which is pretty reasonable these days. That's for 3 Tenders, Fries, one sauce, a Kings Hawaiian toasted bun half and a Medium Drink. Weekdays around 5:30 seem like the sweet spot for no crowds. I just don't get it, why not just launch "New Tenders" and "11 Sauces" at KFC without all the rebranding and such. And let me get Mac N Cheese and Nashville Hot and Gravy all other stuff a KFC already has. Sure, it's young and hip and bright and pink, but bottom line, KFC is a known brand and I'd rather just have that back, and have these tenders as an option.

Very nicely decorated

We ordered the 3 tendie combos and some sauce flights. At $7.99, the prices are decent. The tendies were crispy and the chicken wasn't dry. It was nice. The sauces were all pretty good, but the mango chutney was tops. The fries were not bland, but they weren't notable either. You get a decent amount in your combo order. The bread could've been a larger portion; it was like half a slice. All the employees were very friendly and helpful. The place is very well decorated and like a pop art installation. The takeout boxes were eco friendly which was a nice touch. The ordering kiosks were not great considering 2 out of 4 were having issues.

Obligatory bathroom photo.

The Rundown: They serve chicken tenders and sauces in a vibrant environment. The end. The Review: After things have calmed, I finally got to try Saucy. I definitely enjoyed the colorful vibes and plenty of different seating options! The kiosks help keep things simple, and there are plenty to not feel like you'll be waiting forever to order. The prices were okay for what you got ($8 for a chicken tender meal with drink seems to be the standard). They had some interesting drink options, with small up charges for specialty drinks like hot watermelon. For those used to the offering: There are no refills. The staff come out with your order when it's ready and bring it to you. And that's about it. The tables were not the cleanest, and on this visit there was zero soap in the bathroom. I notified an employee. The food itself was excellent. Tenders were a decent size, and the sauce was indeed good however it is a bit small of a quantity for what you get. If you have 3 tenders I'd anticipate they'd provide you with enough sauce for 3 tenders. And forget about having any sauce to dip your fries. The fries were really good, I'm a hit or miss fry person and these hit. The seasoning was nice, so fortunately sauce was not a requirement. The bread I was confused. I thought it was served with Hawaiian rolls but instead it just seemed like a half hot dog bun of a garlic bread? It was good but not what I expected, maybe I did not fully read my order or something cause it seemed everyone had that side. Other sides were available for a small up charge. By time finished eating, about 30 min, I washed my hands and found soap still had not been refilled. Tables also were not cleaned. So this would be a key area for the crew to be aware of between general seating comfort but also if the bathroom is meant for "employees must wash hands" having soap from an operational point is kind of important as well. Is it worth a visit? For sure. It's a first of its kind and offers that unique visit claim. Do I see it expanding into a huge success with chains everywhere? Personally, no. I appreciate the attempt at limited offerings and something new but it also limits the customer base. And the flavors were not anything that felt like I could not get elsewhere. Time will tell!

Now this is what I would call a better version of what KFC is trying to be in just soo many levels! Coming here was kinda a random day but let's just say it was totally worth it as what we found was chicken tenders that are as good as the original ones I've had at Saunders Cafe in Corbin! My chicken tenders had a good crisp to them and they were juicy on the inside along with that yummy 11 herbs and spices to make them just delicious with each dunk into the Saucy goodness! The sauces were all over the place from unique to just standard of them I really enjoyed the chimichurri sauce as well as the jalapeño as those two were just awesome but you can't count out their Saucy sauce too as it tasted like burger sauce and just added that much more of a flavor to some already good chicken tenders! The fries were also yummy and had a nice pepper salt mix to them making that much more flavor with each dip in their already delicious sauces! The key lime cake was interesting while it wasn't the best it wasn't the worst it was like just ok but needless to say the chicken and sauces here was where it's at! My watermelon spicy honey lemonade was interesting it was full of flavors and a bit spicy while I just didn't like it I just didn't love it but it totally grew on me in soo many levels! The chicken sandwich we also ordered was yummy with the queso on it just added that much more to an already yummy sando! From the second we walked in we were greeted and asked if we knew the menu and let me say this was outstanding guest service in soo many ways as the whole menu was explained to us and it was super awesome on soo many levels! Overall this was a yummy experience and I'd definitely like to see this concept rolled out further as the sauces and the whole experience was yummy and very fun trying all the sauces which I'd love to see the list of sauces grow that much more!

Let's cut to the chase! How are the tenders and sauce??? What else matters?! I got the 3 tender meal for $8. A great deal! The tenders are maybe medium in size comparable to most places. They have a really good crunch without being hard. Each tender has a good thickness and they are very very juicy. Honestly, I was shocked how good these tenders are. Definitely top tier in the fast food tender game. I got the Mango Chutney dipping sauce. OMG. It's great. Smokey. Earthy. Mangoeeey. Delicious. Only downside is that for the 3 tender meal, you only get 1 dipping sauce. You definitely need two. But you can buy another one for 49 cents. Trust me. Do it. Next with the meal you can a pretty good amount of fries. And the fries are...awesome! Seasoned crinkle fries are perfect. Just below top top tier status for fast food. Another shocker for me. Finally you get a drink. There are no soda machines so for refills you have to go back to the counter and ask. Honestly, I'd recommend upgrading to a large drink. With an additional sauce plus an upgraded drink gets you to $10. Still a good deal for a decent sized meal. My daughter got the 2 sammie meal. They are 1 tender on a small toasted bun with a pickle and sauce. Now they put on their general Saucy sauce on the sammie and not whatever dipping sauce you order. I thought that was odd. I'd recommend asking for no sauce on the sammie and then use your dipping sauce. That's just me. The 2 sammie meal was $12 and honestly a ton of food even if these are more slider size. Didn't see if they had a one sammie meal. That would be more my speed. She got the cajun honey mustard and honestly that was bland. They really could have kicked it up but instead played it safe. Skip this one unless you just want a relatively plain sauce. Overall, Saucy blew away my expectations. Given it's the closest fast food to me (besides Taco Bell which is 100 feet closer), this will be in the meal rotation for sure.

The idea is definitely clever and the location is bright and exciting, unfortunately thats where my praise ends. For a place named "Saucy" I was incredibly underwhelmed by the sauces. Let me be clear the food is now bad at all, it just didn't meet or exceed my expectations. The service wasnt bad and the staff is super friendly and helpful. The tenders were fine, the fries were fine as well. The sauces really had promise from their descriptions but the execution was just lacking. I have met a few ppl that really enjoyed the sauces but for my pallet it missed the mark. With the amount of chicken tenders locations close to UCF there was nothing Saucy did to greatly differentiate itself from the competition. You should try for yourself and make your judgement

The sandwich was fresh and flavorful, and the fries came out hot, which made it even better it definitely felt like everything was made to order. The inside has a really cute, old-school diner vibe that adds to the experience. It's a fun atmosphere and makes the visit feel a little different from your typical fast-casual spot. The service was also a highlight the young lady who took our order was friendly, welcoming, and took the time to explain menu options, which I appreciated. My only downside is the pricing. The items felt a bit on the higher side for what you get, so that's something to keep in mind if you plan to visit. Would I come back? Maybe but overall, it was still a great experience.

**INITIAL REVIEW**…read more First and foremost, this review is a collective of both my visit during the Yelp Week at four different Portillo's locations, mine being at Waterford Lakes, and my initial visit as a regular customer afterwards. Ergo, I will utilize the details for the Yelp Week that easily transfer to a regular visit, plus anything new I got through my second visit. For starters, this Portillo's is in a fantastic spot. If you haven't been to Waterford Lakes, it is a beautiful outdoor stripmall with many stores that are actually worth your time going into, not just store after store of clothing... though they do have some good options like Ross and Kohl's (latter is a "I believe it is there," but I know Ross is there). Upon coming up to Portillo's, you can tell it is that brand new genre of restaurant that is in-between fast food and fast casual. I don't even think it has a name yet. But if you've eaten at the new design for Chick-fil-a or at a Raising Cane's, you know it. Inside, Portillo's really leans on its Chicago roots with 1960s to 1970s silver trailer restaurant vibes, modernly updated. Imagine how those dive diners in the 60s and 70s were but with more technology, neon, and self-service commodities. For me, I have plenty of food here. Portillo's is known for their hot dogs so I had their jumbo chili cheese dog and Char-Grilled Maxwell Street Polish Sausage. I also got their breaded whitefish sandwich, beef and cheddar croissant, and cup of chili on its own. I will say the food, across the board, were all good. I thoroughly enjoyed the breaded whitefish sandwich as they actually make it thoroughly well. There are many places that do fried fish sandwiches in which the fish has been sitting in the freezer for too long and haven't been cooked thoroughly through. Ever bitten into a fish fillet and it is still wet, and sometimes slimy, on the inside? As mentioned earlier, this review is based on two visits. The Yelp Week was dine-in in which the service was great, Katherine was trained well and kept her cool whenever an issue arrisen, and the ambiance just fit the experience. My second time was through the drive-thru. What a below average experience that was. I must stress the staff was kind, but the fact that I had to look at the menu on one side of the building, drive around to the other side and make my order could be debilitating for those who don't have good memories. I wouldn't mind it so much, but isn't that the basic setup of drive-thru? What really got to me was how long it took Portillo's to make my order of two hot dogs and two sandwiches. The total was exactly 18 minutes from order start to finish. Wouldn't have been an issue but I was the only one in the drive-thru line at the time, and this was around 2 p.m. so there weren't that many patrons inside either. At least my food was wrapped securely to make sure nothing falls apart or spills. Ultimately, I am going to give this Portillo's location three-out-of-five stars for its review. I can't just shake the tantamount time it took for my drive-thru order to be made during stretch of downtime while being the only vehicle in said drive-thru. All I know is that I could possibly remedy that time if I take the time to order online or actually come down and order indoors There seems to be emphasize treating the indoor customers over the drive-thru.

One of my favorite places to eat ever since it opened. And I never get tired of it. If I could go…read morethere everyday I would but it obviously wouldn't be healthy. But when I do go I usually order the regular mozzarella dog with fries and a drink or if I'm really famished I order the potato mozzarella dog. My favorite sauce toppings are ketchup, honey mustard, sweet chili and parmesan cheese sprinkled over the sauces. But this time around I put on garlic parmesan sauce to give it a try. It wasn't bad. My favorite part of course is when i bite into the dog and that cheese pull is amazing! It's so satisfying seeing the melted cheese keep stretching the farther you pull away from your mouth. The fries here are nice and crunchy as well. Not like any other place that sells fries. You literally hear the crunch. And the strawberry lemonade i love the flavor. But i always have to water it down because it's extremely sweet for my taste. Very refreshing though. Now the only thing is that the place itself looks more and more run down every time I go. The place should be worked on and renovated because it's not appealing to the eyes. 3 out of the 5 screens that show the menu don't seem to be working because they were off. The combination for the sauces and condiments that can be used on the dogs are written on peices of paper. The walls and paint look worn out. Not too professional if you ask me. And like I said not appealing to the customers. But again food amazing! There are juat a few things that need to be updated.

This is one of my Wife's favorite treats. They do what they do very well. She loves the regular…read moremozza with potato and the potato mozza, always crunchy and very filling. I have had their dogs and they are tasty. This is a dense snack that will fill you up good. They have a ton of sauces that you can mix and match and they are not stingy with them. Their fries are good always very crunchy. The staff is always nice and prompt to get you sorted and again very generous with the sauces. There are some random gatcha games here and there. My only grievance with this place is that the place looks like its falling apart. The walls are all bare and what seems like old decor is peeling off. there is some kind of AC/drier machine of sorts in the walk way and half of the screens don't even work. Signs all over are written in sharpie instead of printed. Gives the feeling that the staff is keeping it going while management is phoning it in. Hope this is not the case and things improve, would hate the appearance of the place leads the to failing, or sanitary violations. All in all its a great tasty snack, I would argue one of the kings of junk food. But the location needs to come up to speed with the product.

I always love eating inside at this location. This location provides a nice, relaxed atmosphere. I…read moreenjoy the fresh flowers that are always on the tables. It really elevates the experience and makes it not feel like fast food. While parking has always been an issue here, I normally park across the street in the back and walk across. The line inside moves very fast and efficiently. The customer service is great. Especially from the lovely woman that manages the dining area. She always makes sure my drink is full, I have all sauces, and want for nothing. She is the sweetest and a pleasure to talk to. The food was yummy. I ordered a nugget meal with waffle fries and a Sunjoy drink. A solid meal. Thanks!

Chick-fil-A is so overrated, in my opinion. I only went recently because I had a gift card, and I…read morehad not eaten all day. Joining the drive-thru line here can be a hassle. This side of Waterford just doesn't have the best layout. Plenty of areas get backed up. My order taker was helpful on this visit. She kindly answered my questions and gently guided my vehicle progression. Upon my previous visit, however, I encountered a staff member who was clearly very put out that I had the audacity to ask for sauce at the order pickup window. My bad apparently. I received my order promptly once arriving to the pickup side, but the car ahead of me did not, which caused a backup. Seems everyone else in line got their order but the lead vehicle. The rest of us were trapped. Pretty annoying. The really disappointing aspect of this visit, though, was the fact that my sandwich bun (mainly bottom) was stale. It was the first thing I noticed upon taking a bite. The contents of my Grilled Chicken Club were otherwise good-tasting and fresh. No combo. Added a Kale Crunch Side. My total was over $14. I have had good experiences in the past, but at this point in time I'm not planning on returning here anytime soon.
