Otherwise, quiet. We ordered the Bacon Chicken Ranch Loaded Fries, Husband had The Nibblerz platter and I had the Kickin' Chicken Sandwich with bun instead of Texas toast with fries and drink. Each got a side of the Zax Sauce. Gotta have the Zax Sauce. Everything was well prepared and good. I think I will will opt for The Nibblerz from now on since buffalo sauce isn't really my thing. Food is cooked in burnt oil. $50 for inedible fried, cheese curds eggrolls and chicken. Whats worse is its not just cooked in burnt oil its cooked then been sitting out just long enough to get soggy. I order wings at a lot of restaurants but I can honestly say these were the worst. They were dry, looked old, and were flavorless. I'm sorry but we ordered 10. So we had to buy 2 orders. Total waste of money. I won't ever order those again and I certainly won't go to Richmond Rd! I've had the fingers at other Zaxby's and they have been acceptable. Not great, but ok. I didn't grow up around Zaxby's, so when I was in Lexington it didn't taste like a typical fast food chicken it tasted like some super high quality meal - though it might be how Zaxby's always is. I came here about 10 times tried basically everything they had. The best option was to get the one where the sandwich is like sliced bread with mild sauce. I make it a point to eat only bone in fried chicken. I booke my own rule this time as they only had fried boneless. With the standard snack box with standard sauce it was delicious and I will visit again. The only thing i could complain about was the texas toast tasted like it was grilled using rancid oil. I actually called them later and asked thrm to check it out. I stopped a few days later In Shelbyville and it had the same rancid taste. We visited a Zaxby's once in Florida and I recalled finding something to eat there (popcorn shrimp or something). To my disappointment, all they serve here is chicken (I don't eat meat aside from fish on occasion) and salads (boring, typical fast food salads). Annoyed, and slightly cranky (hey, I was hungry!), I expressed my disappointment in the lack of food options. The cashier was sweet and kept offering different options, none of which appealed to me. My husband got lunch, but I didn't order anything. As we were walking away, she offered me a glass of water as a last resort, with an "I'm so sorry" look on her face. I just recently purchased 2 salads and a chicken meal And both salads had the wrong toppings on them. I had to go back to the location go inside for them to fix my order. I have heard A LOT about Zaxbys and I was a little curious to try it out! I enjoyed the atmosphere and the service. The people here were very nice and my food was done in a timely manner. The place was also clean and the bathrooms were too!!! ( I have a thing about bathrooms lol) I ordered a Blue-Blackened salad. I was in the mood for a lighter dinner and the "Zalads" had been advertising on tv so we thought why not? I wasn't disappointed! I ordered the Cobb Zalad and it was delicious! Fresh, big, perfect amount of each of the ingredients, and the piece of Texas Toast that was served with it was warm and yummy. Tried the "Spicy Mushrooms" which were not spicy but more limp, oily mushrooms. This is probably my favorite fast food restaurant in town. The chicken is always great, and I love the seasoning on the fries! They have a new meal deal that is just $5.99 so it doesn't cost a fortune for my family to eat out and get full. Their salads are the best and a great price because they're HUGE too.
