I love Zaxby's! This location has been very reliable for me as I always have experienced fast and friendly service with good quality food and good portions each time that I have visited. Their drive thru always appears busy so they must be doing something right. My favorite menu item is their traditional Wings and Things platter. Although, they have a various selection of menu items. I love their wings and chicken tenders and their sandwiches are great too! I love that they have a wide variety of sauce flavors for their wings and my favorite is the sweet and spicy. My favorite condiment is the Zaxby's sauce perfectly pairs with their chicken tenders and is a definite must if you are a sauce person like me! Took 45 min to get food. Highly dissatisfied. Trying to get kids home after a basketball game and thought we were getting something fast to eat. The workers were kind but absolutely no sense of urgency. They had at least 6 people working. Didn't seem understaffed. My car was the only one that had to pull up and wait for 15 extra min after waiting in the line for 30. Other cars were just driving off. (I frequent the Zaxby's near NAS Jax and have no problems being almost instantly served piping hot food through the drive-thru.) The grilled chicken sandwich and their House Salad using grilled chicken have been a favorite for some time. My last visit was yesterday where I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich meal at the drive up as I do frequently. Upon planning to enjoy the sandwich again a short distance from the store it became clear that it was not the same scrumptious chicken enjoyed in prior visits. It was drier and had a rubbery gristle texture. I returned it immediately to learn that Zaxby's had since changed vendor's for their chicken explaining the difference and provided a large order of fries as a replacement at my request. This is really from the prospective of having worked there for a very brief time as a prep cook. I have many years experience in the area of prep cook and have sat through many films concerning food safety. And they managed to break a good number of important procedures when they do prep cook. You don't scroll though your phone with the food gloves on then go back to working with the food. You don't put your hand in the garbage to smash down the contents,once again with your gloves on,then go back and continue cutting the veggies. Don't have any sanitation water to clean up the table after each chore. Standing water in the reach in where you keep the prepared veggies. I have had people ask me about the state of the kitchen I had happened to working it on occasion, and if asked about Zaxby's I would have told them to avoid it. Scary. read more

Drive through food at this location has been good in the past,but not so much on today's visit. I bought a Caribbean sandwich meal for myself & a 5 finger chicken plate for my husband. I should've known when I received my order minutes after placing it that the food wouldn't be hot. My French fries & chicken patty were barely above room temperature- I had to reheat them in the toaster oven at home. My sandwich bun looks as if it had been smashed. My husband said his meal tasted ok as he quickly ate it prior to going to work. Lesson learned on this trip to Zaxbys: check your order before you leave for temperature and presentation. Came to this location and a family member (male) told me an employee left without washing their hands. After bringing it up to the manager, he dismissed the whole situation. He said there's a sink in the large stall and he could've washed his hands in there. My family member said that wasn't the case and he didn't wash them before leaving the restroom. We just purchased $66.77 of food we don't want "ANYTHING FOR FREE" but when you make an order at 6:30 pm and we have proof that your app said our food was going to be ready for pick up at 7:30 pm and when I arrived for pick up at 7:30 pm no one knew about our order even though I showed a screenshot of my receipt with my order # and I explained to several employees who worked at your front counter it was supposed to be ready for pick up at 7:30 pm and your female employee mentioned that it was in the process. At 7:45 pm I asked the young lady employee that I wanted to purchase 7 extra Zax sauce which I paid at the front counter & my food wasn't ready yet until the young lady tripled check my order and asked one of the cooks working in the kitchen for my big order and he clearly told her our order was behind the counter and ready since 7:00 pm. This is the ZAXBY'S at 9569 N. Regency Square! I would NEVER purchase ANYTHING at this location again! NOT COOL instead of stars I give this location 5 thumbs down. It would be nice if corporate reviews the date and time of my visit and run back their video & audio of my visit as well as our phone conversation to find out who is truly in the RIGHT and share this experience with their employees to teach them better customer services practices! Change your filters, use filter powder and actually follow your cleaning schedule. I worked in several places frying chicken, i know exactly what this smell and taste is.
