Went to Whataburger today to redeem my free Whataburger from the Jaguars win. Ordered on the app with a pickup time of 1:15-1:25 but didn't get my food until almost 1:45. The employee apologized for the delay, but the bigger issue came when I opened the sandwich on the way home. The meat looked like someone had taken a bite out of it!!!!! A clear half-moon shape. I showed it to four other people and they all agreed it looked bitten. Totally disgusting. The sandwich went straight into the trash. Overall, a very poor experience. so i was there at 145 in the afternoon 2 people ahead of me not busy asked for boneless wings they said they had to cook them it would be 5 min about 15 min later they finally brought them out ask for honey butter wings and asked for extra honey butter that i would pay for they gave me barbq wings and no extra honey butter . Very pissed i know it's not a major thing but every single time i go there hoping they would have improved i get even more disappointed. they have about 15 people working in the back . when I went in to get my extra honey butter, not knowing I didn't get my honey butter wings. There wasn't even anybody in front of the register. I had to wait like five minutes for somebody from the back to come up. It was a cook. I went to JAX for work and I'm here to settle the debate against In-n-out. In-n-out is a GREAT burger for the cost, but there are limited options. There is no bacon, chicken, onion rings, etc. There is no comparison. Whataburger has an extended menu that is overall OK, and there's nothing wrong with that. 24hrs, filling food, and bbq sauce etc. I would say Whataburger is more comparable to Burger King with their menu. Ordered a double patty bacon cheese burger with BBQ sauce on the side and it came out quick and fresh. I wish the cheese was more melted. read more

We mostly stop by this location a little later in the day after any events downtown. It's a hit and miss. If it's good, it's GOOD. I love their patty melt, the onion rings, and don't get me started on the milkshake. You can literally customize everything. Unfortunately it sometimes gets lost between the ordering process, the kitchen, and the final product. We never dined in so I can't speak on the inside but the parking lot looks clean. I've never seen a Whataburger like this. I arrived and stood at the register while the front end employees chatted about not doing anymore work than they had to. Seriously! Order was placed but I was never asked for here or to go and I was not asked my name. I took a seat and waited until the dining room attendant came out with a bag calling for Linda. I looked at my receipt and it had my name as Lady. I asked her to let me check the ticket and it did say Lady. My onion rings were hot and delicious. I like them with ranch but it wasn't cold so I didn't eat it. My burger was so cold the cheese never melted! After years of driving past this restaurant I finally decided to stop in and give it a try during lunch. The place was very busy but organized. It was nice to take a seat after I ordered and wait for someone to bring me my tray of food. The cashier was helpful when I asked for some assistance. And the burger is pretty big. The fries are crispy. And the boneless wings had a crunchy exterior and tender exterior. So I was pleasantly surprised! My only complaint was the soda didn't have enough carbonation and it tasted flat (and the area was a little messy). Otherwise I enjoyed stopping in for a little fast food indulgence. read more

Texas sized food in Jacksonville, can't say no to that! Pros: large portions, reasonably priced, food that will hit the spot in a pinch, and accommodating service. Cons for me: I feel a bit let down after so many people hyped up Whataburger to me. This was my first time ever visiting a Whataburger and I had high hopes...maybe to high because of what others had told me. Don't get me wrong, the food was good and filling but there was no real flavor on the burger and wouldn't be my top choice for fast food. Regardless, I can at least say I've had this iconic fast food joint. My top recommendations would be the onion rings, and chicken tenders dipped in gravy. THE WORST. I can't emphasize that enough. I was second in line in the drive through, it took me almost 40 minutes to get a combo meal.... that wasn't even right. The guy in front of me handed his wrong order back 3 times amd still had to "pull forward". I ordered a #5 combo: the bacon and cheese burger. I got ZERO bacon on my burger. We stopped here after quite a long drive and were starving by the time we got here. We specifically wanted to try Whataburger as this chain is not something we can get at home. The staff was very helpful and patient as we all kept adding things and asking questions about the items we were ordering. Admittingly, we were all hangry and difficult and had some specific customizations. The presentation of the sandwiches is absolutely terrible. They look so unappealing. However, upon biting into the hot mess, there was lots of flavor and crispy veggies and a pretty good vibe overall. The burgers were much bigger than expected (Whopper size for lack of a better comparison), so that meant I got some extra burgers! (I bat clean up for the family). The bacon was crispy, the fries were fresh, and only one mistake was adding pickles which were easily removed. We were too hungry to complain and get another burger. Ordered my food on the app, came through the drive through and was asked to walk inside ?? I told them I wanted to stay in the car and they gave me attitude saying it was gonna take longer. I sat there for 45 minutes before they walked up to my car and asked me for the name for my order before starting it. Then they came out 10 minutes later and told me my order hasn't came through?!?! Id understand if it was understaffed, but I'm watching people walk in and walk out, people who came through the drive through after me leaving before me. I always see "Whataburger" signs at local HS football games and on TV supporting youth sports. So I thought I'd check them out. Their prices are on par with Wendys. BK, McD's. And Whataburgers less expensive then Jack-Box and 5 Guys. i Had a double meat WB, fries , and Dr. Pepper milk shake and I Whatasized it. First time eating whataburger ever. My experience was mediocre and wasn't up to hype. Didn't expect to have my buns completely flat unlike other chains that have "fluffier" buns for lack of better terms. The cheese was not melted at all and tasted like prepackaged Kraft cheese in those plastic sleeves. We also ordered the 6 Pc chicken bite, not sure what I was thinking but we were served somewhat small bites in a large box, making me think they were bigger than they were. At least they were crispy and moist which can be a down fall if they aren't cooked right. The fries got super cold quick unlike other places. Once they got cold they didn't taste good at all and didn't have any salt. Customer service and the actual burger is the only thing keeping it a 2 star. The meat was cooked perfectly and tasted fantastic which is sad for what it's served with. Staff were quick and friendly. Counter staff were good, one employee was laid out on a bench working his cell phone the entire time I was there. Maybe he was off-shift, waiting for a ride, but it wasn't a good "look." Open 24 hours.... Yes, please! =) This is my favourite Whataburger in Jacksonville. Nice, clean restaurant with very friendly employees. On my last visit there, we were even given free cookies. Very nice touch! I love both breakfast and lunch/dinner items here. For breakfast, I always get the bacon biscuits. Even in the middle of the night, the biscuits are hot and fresh with plenty of bacon. For fast food, the burgers are really good. A Whataburger is my favourite of all the fast food burgers. Whether is a breakfast sandwich or a burger I've ordered from here, they have always been put together nicely. So many fast food places just throw things together haphazardly, but I have not found that to be the case here. The drive-thru moves quickly late at night, but can be a bit slower during the day. They always make sure to put napkins, ketchup, straws, etc. in the bag. I just wish this particular Whataburger were on my side of town so I could visit more often! read more

Less than mediocre. How does this place have such a long line? The buns are flat, they look dead inside and have no flavor. The actual patties look like the size of something that would come in a kid's meal, the cheese wasn't even melted, the tomatoes had no taste and probably were a few weeks old. I got the jalapeño burger, and any trace of spice or heat has been erased from the peppers. Also, who's idea was it to put mustard on this thing? Whatever, I guess some people like this stuff. So disappointed. I love Whataburger but this location is not good at all. I eat fast food so incredibly rarely so when I choose to do so, I don't expect a lot but I expect consistency. This location is definitely sub par. The burger was just awful. The onion rings were over fried and the oil desperately needed to be changed. I was also super uncomfortable with the manager and an employee discuussing an issue they had in the lobby. Isn't there an office for that? I will say the manager has a nice management style. Seems very nice but I still feel it should have been done in private. Will not return to this location and I'm hoping this isn't a company wide change for the worse. read more

The facility is clean. It's like any other fast food, you're gonna have a bad visit if you go enough time. It's the laws of statistics, it's inevitable. Charlotte is an excellent manager and if you happened to have a bad visit, she's gonna make it right- that matters! Now, onto the food. It's why we're all here right? Whataburger is head and shoulders above any other fast food burger places. The burgers are very large, and you can add as much as your willing to pay for. These are legit burgers for fast food. The bun has a subtle sweetness and the ketchup seems to have its own thing going on also. The little things add up, it's generally the only fast food burger I eat on a regular basis. They have a good sized varied menu but I generally stick to what they do best- Burgers and Onion rings. Tip- opt for the ranch sauce for dipping the onion rings (your welcome) :) All locations are not the same but this one is pretty consistent. I'm here at least once a week so ya, I recommend! read more
