I have never had I good experience at any Zaxby's. I only went because my wife wanted to go. She ordered a chicken salad sandwich, which was as bland as a tube of bathroom caulk. I ordered the chicken finger combo and fried mushrooms. The chicken had a bad taste, could not finish it. The fries were soggy. The mushrooms tasted like they were fried in oil that had never been changed out. The toast was good. I should've known when we were the only customers in the place that it was not going to go well. Placed my order. Got my receipt and drink then I sat down. 20 minutes later I had to walk up to the counter and ask about my order. They never made it, they took my receipt made my food 10 minutes later. No apology was given most of the employees were just standing around doing nothing. This Zaxbys is very close to my house, making it an easy weeknight dinner every once in a while. I refuse to go there any more. I've never had my order correct. I've had workers refuse to take the rest of my order and cut me off mid order. They don't even give full sauces, just little cups with about half of what would be in a regular sauce, yet they charge the same price. The employees are always rude, and they are almost always out of either fries, coleslaw, or drinks (sometimes a combination of the three). I love Zaxby's food, but will gladly drive to a further location to get it. read more

Pulled up to meau at 10: 30 , which is what time They open. Sat there no one said anything. Drove to window where a female employee looked at me then looked away . So I sat there for another 3 minutes until I finally got her to acknowledge me and said are you open then she shook her head no and walked off which at this point it was 10:36. Very rude! In an attempt to find out what all the fuss is about I stopped in here for lunch. Sampled a few things, Had the chicken fingers platter. First off.. Their platters don't come with a drink. It comes with a piece of Texas toast that you could literately squeeze the butter out of. I immediately pushed that to the side because I wanted to be conscious for the rest of the day. The fingers were good and I tried 3 different types of sauce. I could not find one that I liked. Luckily I had some Polynesian sauce from Chick-fil-a left over in the fridge. Fries were also over-seasoned for my taste. But I never have been a fan of seasoned fries. The nibbler was tasty but the bun had been drenched in butter just like the toast. Anyway.. I might try one of their salads next time. If your into what I would consider "southern cooking".., You'll probably like this place.. This place was fucking terrible when it comes to customer service i'm pretty sure there's going to be another review on here just like mine because the person in front of me was experiencing the same problem as me. The girl that took my order half the time was not paying attention to me and I will stand away and stare at her until she said "huh" "what was that". My family of three went on a Saturday afternoon and this was the second time we had been to this location (the first time was a Sunday afternoon and it was CHAOS). The food was average with inconsistent spices on the fries. The overall experience was bad-all the drinks and sweet tea were "out" and after telling the manager he stated "Oh I forgot"..a line formed causing us to wait nearly 15min. Ketchup, straws, and cup lid dispensers were also empty. The window sill and windows where we ate were filthy..could see caked on food where kids were toughing them. The floors were dirty (our shoes stuck to it) and overhead table light bulbs were out. The female bathroom was dirty and a certain code violation with a broken electric toilet piece with exposed wire sitting on the counter. WE WILL NOT BE RETURNING! read more

Got the wing meal with fries and original sauce and a side of cheddar bits. Fries were good. I love crinkle fries. Wings were nothing special. A little dry and hard. The sauce was salty and spicy, but no real flavor like you get with a buffalo sauce. Cheddar bites were good for the price. Cost me $10 all together. Everything was okay...just okay. Stopped in with the husband since he heard great things about Zaxby's. I ordered the chicken finger platter, and the hubby had the Zaxby's club plate. Neither the plates or platters come with drinks. We also had the spicy fried mushrooms. Our experience was pretty mediocre. The Texas toast with my platter was soaked in butter, as well as the toast used as a bun on the club. The chicken itself was moist, but the fingers had a stringy texture. Fries could have been cooked a little longer, but we're seasoned well. The mushrooms on the other hand were not spicy, and tasted very plain. Not worth the money paid for them. We tried two sauces, the Zaxby's sauce that came with the tenders, and a similar sauce that came with the mushrooms. Neither impressed, and I actually ordered a side of BBQ sauce instead. This place is not worth the $20+ spent, and we will be continuing to frequent chick-fil-a instead. Much better product there for the money. read more

This is my second Yelp Review on this Zaxby's in Hampton. I went thru the drive thru and it was 10:42pm. When I got to the window I was told "We are Closed". I kindly responded "Your website says your opened until 11:00pm, is that wrong?" I was then told "Well the internet is wrong, we are closed!" All the lights where off and the appearance was they were closed, but they were actually suppose to be opened. I immediately called corporate and spoke with someone to file a complaint. She ensured me the store was still suppose to be opened and she is sorry that I was told they were closed.. I then advised to her, in the past I had to go to Yelp to write about a previous HORRIBLE experience at this location and felt it could have been handled better, but felt some comfort knowing it was possibly being addressed. NOW it has been almost a week without no response from anyone. I was told the Franchise owner or a manager from the corporate office would be calling me and not someone on the store level. I have yet to get a call and feel the line has to be drawn. Not to rant, but in Carolina, GA, and FL seem to have Zaxby's that work off from on a high standard for customer satisfaction and the food is always amazing. Here at the 2201 Todds Ln location it is hit and miss so the only safe thing to order is the Zalad (as the chicken is not fried right). Well, to wrap up, I was not able to get my Zalad this night. Called around as it was now after 11 and was able to order from Hooters who Salad I must say is AMAZING!!!! Sad thing is prior to this, I advised Zaxby's I was a Manager at the corporate office of a HUGE company who was going through Media allegations and I was the manager responsible for Yelp, BBB, Consumer Affairs, Facebook and all other social media claims. That company has been found innocent of any wrong doing and they like a Phoenix have risen from the ashes and are even stronger. I am no longer with that company as I was recruited and now Working for a company that is New to the Hampton Roads area and handles the LARGEST medical government/military contract in the world. Needless to say we have had catering orders since we have been in the area and when Zaxby's name comes up it is quickly shut down by myself. I will not allow a Billion Dollar Company to invest our money on food for employees from a location that takes no ownership or responsibility not once, but twice!! "Fool me once shame on you!" "Fool me twice, well shame on me and it will never happen again! This could have been avoided if someone called and reached out, but now I have to result to social media to express how poor this place is!!! Save your time and money.
