30 bucks for a cigar and a basic beer is OK, I guess. However, charging $25 for a mediocre manhattan is where I say enough.I thought is was an error and asked the bartender about it. I went there today with a friend of mine and paid to go into the lounge. After my friend and I were done with our drinks I asked Desiree the server for a glass of water. I was promtly told that they only have bottled water for sale. I asked for just straight tap water, and was denied she told me they don't do that there. Then I asked for a glass of ice and was promptly denied again. Seems extremely sketchy to me. I'm especially pissed off since I tipped Desiree 5 dollars at the beginning of our experience. Zarka Cigar Lounge is gimmicky at best. Employees are all female and scantily dressed, so if this is all you're looking for in a cigar shop you're in business. I purchased a cigar cutter here only to have it break on the way out of the parking lot, so I tossed it in the console of the car with plans of returning it on the next trip. On my next visit, I discovered the Bimbo behind the counter does not have the authority to return any items purchased. She informed me that if I had purchased the cutter from her, she would've warned me against this particular cigar cutter. Well, I did purchase it from her and when I told her this, she said, "the owner must have been standing behind her, so she couldn't warn me." Either way this place is high priced and has poor customer service. If the bimbo's are the only reason for your visit, trust me; just find a topless bar which guarantees higher quality entertainment. I have never been in a humidor where someone has to follow me. Can't believe I am not allowed in the humidor without a babysitter. After spending $130 I was told I couldn't use the bathroom without a membership. I was told to use the bathroom in the fast food restaurant across the parking lot. Oh well, I spend about $700 a month on smokes, I will take my business back to olde town. read more

It feels weird to write a review right after returning from a place, but I was so impressed. I was meeting a buddy I smoke cigars with in Temecula, and wanted to find a cigar lounge for us to smoke. We usually just toke our stoggies in his garage, but it would've been a bit cold at 8 p.m. Called them, spoke with Chelsea, who said they'd be open until 10 p.m. They had an incredible selection of cigars, and although a few that I've smoked before were a bit more expensive here, there's an adequate selection for those of all budgets. I bought a good $10 smoke, as well as a cheap $2.99 one they had at the register, which was surprisingly good. My buddy and I first thought it was odd to be charged $10 just to be in the joint (if you aren't a member), as we've gone to Liberty Tobacco in San Diego for no charge. Yet, it all really makes sense. How would this business make a buck if you sat in there for 2 or 3 hours, nursing a cognac and smoking a cigar you brought in? Well, they wouldn't. For the money I spent, it was well worth it. They had the perfect ventilation system, so it wasn't filled with smoke, but there was a tad, which is perfect for the ambiance. I remember when Seau's The Restaurant had a cigar lounge, and they had such an elaborate ventilation system, it was cold inside. And you couldn't smell a single cigar. I don't know about you...but when I go to smoke a cigar, I want to also smell some, too. Now, the interior. Boy did these guys do a great job with this. Lots of leather recliners to relax on. A few card tables. A nice acquarium, and the gorgeous Chelsea taking care of everyone, and on top of everything. A few video games (a few guys were having a blast with some golf game, another sat at the bar playing video poker or something). For your $10, I had a glass of wine, as did my buddy. It wasn't bad, and addition drinks were well priced ($3 beers, and $5 house wines). They had an old fashioned popcorn machine -- that was free. They had a pool table. That was free (my friend and I played 3 games). The music was a great mix of classic rock hits, and more obscure songs (I heard Love's "7 & 7 is" as well as a Blue Oyster Cult song I didn't even know). I have traveled the world going to cigar lounges and this one set the bar very high. Fantastic atmosphere and the owner is amazing.

I have been smoking cigars for 8 years now and let me tell you, every item in that lounge is completely over priced. I briefly had a membership there and the owner was a complete jerk after I paid almost $1000.00 for the 1 year membership. I even paid to have my own personal box to store my cigars at the lounge and it came with a customized plaque that never came. The owner did not show any concern when I brought the issue to him numerous times. People go there and blow their money on his overpriced items and he treats his customers with disrespect. Most cigars I have smoked there have fallen apart or had a terrible draw to them and I was never able to exchange them for a new cigar. Even if you are not a member of you want to smoke there you have to pay an additional 10 dollars just to smoke inside his lounge. I highly recommend not wasting your time at this establishment. I'm big on excellent customer service and quality and this lounge definitely does not have this. If I could give zero stars I would. About a mile down the road there is a lounge called Old Town Smoke Shop that provides great quality smokes with excellent customer service. Had fun. But they seem to be trying to save money but not having the fans or vents on. I had to ask several times if the vents could be turned on. My Dad, Uncle and I were choking on our own cigar smoke and our eyes burned. Once the vents were turned on it was a very fun enjoyable environment. Drinks are kinda expensive and cigars are really expensive and they don't have a big Arturo Fuente selection which all cigars shops I've been do. They need to lower their prices and leave their vents on when ever someone is smoking in the lounge. Other then that we had a great time and will for sure be coming back. read more

Decent place, a bit tight at times. The liquor is a bit high, but probably understandable considering the volume probably is not as high as a regular bar is. Great selection of cigars in the walk in humidor and acc in the front of house... The $10 per person / night is a bit much - but at least comes with a free house drink. Spent $$$ for 3 of us in drinks (and bought cigars from them) yet still had to pay a $5 cutting fee to smoke my own cigar from home. I think I would call that cutting off your nose to spite your face. If people are spending money, why charge them that - makes sense if they are not spending money and just taking space... My friend has been telling me to check out the lounge for a while so I finally decided to stop by with my old lady to have a cigar and a drink last night. When we got their we where approached by a tall skinny girl who asked us if we where their for the private party. I told her no that my friend who lives in town had told me about the lounge and I knew their was a $10 cover charge toget in. She then said she was sorry and we could not get in tonight due to a private swinger party their having at the lounge. Yes that is what she said PRIVATE SWINGER PARTY. My wife and I where speechless and could not believe that the only way to get in the lounge and have a cigar was if I was willing to swap my wife for the night. We where disgusted and could not believe a cigar lounge would have that type of party and would be so open about it. So if your a swinger and looking for a place to do your thing that is the place to be but if you want to just kick back and have a cigar like I did I suggest you find yourself a different lounge. We met a friend there for Monday night football and had a great time. It's nice to find s cigar lounge with a full selection of lighters, humidors and other gadgets. The humidor was very nicely stocked and prices are in line with most places. The girl working was very helpful. There is plenty of very comfortable chairs and couches. Have a couple of good friends that are members so have been there a few times. Markup on the cigars is ridiculous relative to other cigar shops but not many places where u can smoke and order a drink. Was considering becoming a member when I noticed the fine print said if you were accompanied by a member your entry into the lounge was $5 instead of $10 for non members coming in alone. I'd paid $10 every time so I asked to speak to the Owner. He came out and I explained the situation and told him it was no big deal he can simply buy me a cigar some time. He became hostile and said he couldn't do that because then all his customers would want free cigars and he would be out of business. REALLY? This guy has zero customer service skills and does not get it! I finished my cigar and on the way out threw my filled out membership application in the trash. A week later my member friend calls me and tells me the owner asked him to tell me not to come back...WTH?? He didn't even have the courage to do it himself. Now we meet weekly at Old Towne Cigar Shoppe, The Bank, or Pechanga and pay 1/2 the price for our cigars and drinks with exceptional service. This guy cost himself a new member plus $400-$600 a month income for a $8 cigar. Go elsewhere and let this guy gouge his members and make sure they all know he is king of his castle! read more

They have an amazing selection of cigars and accessories, lots of sales and great prices! This place is great. Great selection. Choose your favorite smoke, add $10 and you can be a member for the day (includes 1 beer) and go kick back in their very comfortable lounge. Largest cigar selection I have ever seen. Excellent selection of anything you need in the store. Great lounge and bar. Great place to hang out and enjoy a good cigar and good beer. Keep in mind that by law they have to charge a cover to use the lounge but that price includes a beer or glass of wine. Not bad at all. If you are once a month "lounger" this the way to go. Zarka Cigar Lounge - My favorite cigar that is only at Zarka Cigar lounge in Temecula, Ca - Lounges Near Me - Temecula, California

While the selection is the best around, the bright fluorescent lighting is taking it's toll on the wrappers of many of the cigars. I'm talking ashy Padron 1926's here. Many of the cigars on the upper shelves (mostly in the Padron section) will have to picked through to find a decent stick. Also, some of those that do not come in cello have obviously been roughly handled and picked through. It took me a few minutes to find a LFD Box Press that did not have a damaged wrapper. I also had to pick through the Joya de Nicaragua to find a stick that wasn't discolored or damaged. Two stars for the selection, but seriously, fix the lighting and put some signs up to keep the animals from tearing up the smokes. In the mean time I will do my shopping in Oceanside. read more

First time here with a date and actually I really liked the setup. Plenty of TVs with sports, comfy leather couch and reclinable chairs. We got a hookah and also some beer wine, they had a great selection. The service was excellent, I forget her name but blonde server was on top of things even though she could be a bit better on preparing a hookah, which is understandable as it's not their specialty and she was working alone. I've come to zarka many times to both buy cigars and pay the non-member charge to have a few drinks. Never have I been treated like I did today. My wife, brother, and two friends who are all currently military except for me being prior Air Force came in today to get cigars and few drinks received the worst treatment I have ever received from any establishment. Every one of us was rushed to choose a cigar and reminded many times that she was not allowed to leave us alone in the humidor. I have been here many times and have never been told that or pressured to hurry up and make a choice of cigar. I had to apologize to everyone and tell them this is not the norm. I have been profiled my whole life for being brown and I guess it was one too many brown people for this establishment. read more

I live local and they "try" to cater to the higher end business men but they lack the attention this place deserves. The owner or manager has really let this place go to crap. I decided to search for my birthday cigar here since I know they do stock the higher end cigars. My biggest concern was with the condition of the cigars. There was mold on at least 10-12 boxes! My wife, who doesn't smoke, even said it looks like stuff that would grow on bread! It was even in the wood grain on a couple boxes!! When I brought it up to the cashier's attention, she told me that was normal!! After she realized I wasn't new to smoking, she resorted to saying the owner says that was ok and to leave them there. WHAT!! What happened to the quality in this place? I would be scared to stick any cigar from this place in my humi! If you're gonna buy a cigar here, really inspect it, then smoke it on the spot...don't but them in with your collection! As for the lounge area, it is nice. I would love to become a member if they didn't charge so much. At $60 a month, $200 for 6 months, and $365 a year...I'm not gonna pay for it, when I am gone 7 months out of the year. The My Father loung, which is fantastic, in Brea charges $27 or $37 if you want a locker. Churchhills in Miramar, also fantastic, has the largest walk-in humidor and their lounge is free. Churchills also has a fully stocked bar. So in comparison to the other higher end lounges, Zarka's is doing it all wrong. They aren't paying attention to their product and they over charge for thier lounge. If you just want a place to sit and smoke while in Temeucla, Old Town Smoke Shop has a couple chair inside thier business or the porch is great on sunny days. You will have to buy a cigar to sit inside though. read more

Bought many cigars here. Pretty good selection. I was not really crazy about being babysat either while in the big walk in humidor. I had bought a $7.00 or so, hygrometer for a portable case. It did not work. I figured "it's only 7 bucks you get what you pay for" Well I had it with me the next time I came in to buy some more sticks. I asked if I could do a simple exchange, with the receipt no less. I was told by a girl that said she was the manager, that she could not authorize an exchange. I would have to come back when the owner was there. But could not tell me when the owner would be there. Well about a week goes by, and I go by to pick up some more cigars. Was told the same thing by another girl working there, telling me the owner was not there. I would have to return again, roll the dice to see when the owner would be there. Realizing that it is not worth the effort for 7 bucks. Besides being followed around the humidor and feeling rushed, I don't need it. Will not be returning. read more

After several afternoons of going from Sauvignon Blanc, to Chardonnay, then to a Syrah, and eventually topping it off with a Pinot Noir, we are always craving something of what can be considered as a new discovery to us, cigars. Across from the wineries on the west side of Highway15 towards Old Town Temecula is Zarka Cigar Lounge. For us novices, Zarka Cigar Lounge has on several occasions provided us excellent service to educate us and ensure we would come back while in Temecula. Last weekend we did return back to Zarka on a whim and a desire to get more cigars. While busy tending to the counter and the bar in the back, the slender young lady with the glasses graciously devoted her time to show us the ropes of how to take our affinity for cigars to the next level. Needless to say, we left with a crippling amount of money spent on a humidor and approximately twenty cigars. However, even as I write this review we are still enjoy the cigars the "naughty librarian" (best description I can come up with) recommended. If I could justify the expense is that on any given evening my husband and I enjoy the experience of smoking cigars on the patio and look forward to learn more of the craft. Zarka is a good cigar spot to check out. Whether it is a group of men that want to hang out in the lavish "man cave" and watch the game, or some adventurous ladies that desire some slender sweet cigars for the bottle of Port to go, Zarka has proven they have it all. read more

Went with a good friend to have a cigar and play some pool. Arrived at 6pm on Sunday and was told they were only open for one more hour because the owner was leaving. they were too busy to help us pick out a cigar and wouldn't give us a discount on the ten dollars to enter, there were 5 people in there... got our one WATERED down drink and with ten minutes left just wanted a little water in in our drink glass...My friend was told NO an then the waitress asked another patron if they wanted another drink...I've never felt so unimportant in such a small place.
