Olde Town Smoke Shoppe has been around for a long time and I've been buying cigars from them for quite a while when I've found myself in Temecula. They carry a fantastic selection of cigars and I've never had difficulty finding something I like. I've even managed to find some of the "Feral flying pigs" on a few occasions which aren't the easiest cigars to come by. The gentleman who I'm assuming is the proprietor of this store is always very kind and helpful when I've been in here and has also welcomed my wife when we've had cigars in the shop. The location is fantastic because you can take your cigars to Stone Church next door and sit right in front street, enjoy a cold brew and watch all the cars and motorcycles. The location is actually quite perfect. Olde Town Smoke Shoppe is the best cigar shop in the area and I can't imagine a reason I'd ever need to go elsewhere in Temecula for cigars. read more

We were visiting from Tennessee for Memorial Day weekend and decided to stop by. My husband, myself and my brother in law walked in trying to locate the cigars that we usually go for. We are no cigar experts but we do enjoy a cigar every now and then. The employee or owner (not sure) was a bit snarky & condescending . We did not feel very welcomed and he was not very helpful. I spent $60 just to feel unwelcome. I had my favorite cigars, the montecristo and big bottom betty for my wife. The dude with the tattoos on his hands was not welcoming at all. I felt as I didn't fit in. I'm not looking to be pampered but at least make your customers feel as they are welcome to purchase your product. We've lived in Murrieta for over 30 years but when we lived in Fullerton, we used to play golf at course in Rainbow. But, we heard thru our grapevine, there was a smoke shop in this town called Temecula. So we tried it out and were all blown away by their selections. What a super fun place where our cigar helper was friendly (like they all mostly are) but yet here they are dressed in old time-y costumes. There were lots of cigar choices, lots of tourists, we were able to smoke outside right by the building or basically wherever we want (not sure what Calif. law requires because we were told we needed to be 25+ feet away from the building in another city.) My boyfriend rated the "made just for our store in the Domincan" cigar to be a D+, but I rated it a C- (hence the one less star.) Still, it was relaxing to watch the people and cool to buy the cigar in the old school building. read more

Just an extremely over priced shop. Everything was $5- $10 more per stick. Some of their padron x000 series cigars were in the upper twenty dollar range hahahaha. If I'm spending almost $30 it better at least be for one of the best padrons. They do have a decent selection. Some of their cigars are starting to get mold but most are in good shape. Other than being ungodly overpriced. It's an alright shop if you really need a cigar and you don't have time to go to literally any other shop around, other than that just go somewhere else. Also unless you're 800 years old it's probably not the place for you to hang out and have a smoke. There was approximately one person under 50 years old when I went in a week or so ago. read more

Excellent selection. Great service but be aware if you're from out of town. Watch where u park. We parked for about 10 minutes behind the store with a sign noting no fee for the first 15 minutes. Sign was on a railing that did not specify which space this applied to. Came out of store with this bearded man waiting and smiling who put a $71 parking fine on our window. Great location in the middle of Old Town Temecula. With the outdoor seating, you can watch all the tourists walk by. Bring your dog and just chill with a stogie. The atmosphere is relaxing. A lot of regulars go here and are very welcoming and friendly. They have movie and food on Friday nights. There's always free coffee and chocolate, but the vintage Coca-Cola vending machine is a great throwback. There's plenty of restaurants nearby to grab something to go and eat it there. The selection of cigars is very good; stocked humidors line the walls. They carry Cheap Bastard cigars which are a good hand rolled Dominican Republic cigar for $2 to $5 depending on the size. But they also have a lot of great cigars from well known makers such as Fuente, Gurkha, Rocky Patel, Perdomo, etc. for prices up to about $30. There is also a very good selection of pipe tobacco, but I can't comment on the quality because I don't smoke a pipe. There's an old lady that works there and everyone knows that she is a crabby bitch. That's just the way that she is. You're only going to have to deal with her at the register so now that you know, don't worry about it. read more

I have been a Cigar Aficionado for a few years now. I have been to many different cigar lounges all around the country as well as Japan. I've tried a wide variety of cigars and have developed a good knowledge on prices for certain accessories or brand name smokes. I know good cigar etiquette as well as good customer service that should be in a cigar lounge. Walking in to Old Town Smoke Shoppe, you get a sense of authenticity before you walk in. As soon as you walk in, I was greeted by a friendly man named Roy. I took a good look around at the great selection of fine smokes and accessories before I made a purchase. Once I grabbed the smoke of my choice I was offered a veteran discount to my total price (which is always a plus when a store supports its veterans). They have comfortable seating along with free wi-fi and television as well as an outdoor bench if you want to enjoy your smoke in some perfect weather. One thing I thought was nice were the complimentary chocolate candies they had to help reset your palette in between a new smoke. The "regulars" who are there are friendly as well which really sets the mood of a good cigar lounge. Overall, a great experience. The staff is very friendly and the quality of their smokes and accessories is excellent. The only downside to the establishment is parking. Parking can be tough at times but that's nothing that the store can really control. It can be a little cramped inside at times but it is still definitely worth paying a visit for the Cigar Aficionado! read more

It's like a Cheers for cigar smokers. Everyone knows your name. Decent selection of cigars and carry my fav the Gurkha Ghost. They have a few big tables that everyone is welcome at to make knew friends. They have a couple of small recliners to chill at while you smoke your cigar. There is a big screen tv in there as well which I thought was cool. If you are new to cigar or pipe smoking, staff are awesome and patiently answer all your questions. Hands Down the best cigar ship in the area!!! #1 in customer service!!! On one occasion I purchased a lighter from the Old Town Smoke Shoppe and the lighter failed on me after a month, since it was an inexpensive lighter I trashed it and planned to get another. I happened to mention it in passing, during another visit to the shop and was given a replacement. No return, no receipt, just handed me a new lighter to make it right. I also ran into a problem when setting up my humidor, in which I was having difficulty determining the accuracy of the hydrometer. I swung by the shop to ask a few questions and was loaned a hydrometer for comparison. I didn't even buy this humidor from the shop, but I wished I did. The Old Town Smoke Shoppe has an excellent selection and over the top customer service. This is exactly what I'm looking for in a cigar shop. No gimmicks, no scantily bimbos, this ain't Zarka's. The Old Town Smoke Shoppe is just an outstanding cigar shop with employees that put the customers first. I wish I could give them 10 stars. read more
