I moved out this way from the Los Angeles area and have been looking for a good Cigar Lounge. I went to Zarka for the first time and I was not disappointed. Their cigar selection is the biggest I've ever seen and I learned their humidor is the biggest in California. I chilled in the lounge with my cigar with good company from the employees. I stayed long enough where I was able to meet the whole staff. Shammy, Desiree, Jen and Marisa were all a pleasure to talk too. I spent most of my time talking to Shammy who knew so much about cigars and she gave me advice on how to bring my humidor at home back to life. In order to chill in the lounge it's a $10 fee where most places I've been to is free. However, the $10 does include an alcoholic or non alcoholic beverage (full bar). Also, the lounge is huge! They have two big poker tables, pool table, golf game, three TVs and plenty of places to sit. If I'm not mistaking you can become a member for $360ish which allows you into the lounge whenever you want and you get discounts on merchandise/cigars. If you bring in your own cigars there is a $10 cut fee. Which is just like taking your own bottle of wine into a restaurant and they charge you an uncork fee. So I recommend just buying a cigar there when you plan on hanging out. At the end of the day, I highly recommend you give this place a shot. I've never seen a lounge like it. Inconsiderate staff, rude and unfriendly owner, $10 cutting fee even if you purchase a $40 cigar and want to smoke one of your own instead. I've been going to Zarka nearly once a week for 2-3 months. But tonight will be my last time. I'm not a member but working .5 miles away so I stop by, I usually buy 1-3 sticks. Tonight I didn't have a lot of time so I bought 1, a Davidoff Colorado Claro for $39.99 plus $10 non member fee so it came to $53. I was alone in the lounge which is usually empty from 3-7. I decided to smoke a larger vitola Tatuaje cigar I brought and half way through, the draw was too tight so I lit up the Davidoff I purchased. Halfway through, while I'm on the phone I was approached by the worker who wasn't there when I purchased the cigar and was told there is a $10 cutting fee. This was extremely rude to interrupt a customer while on the phone. Frustrated but calm, I explained I purchased a $40 cigar. She said but didn't u bring your own stick and I said yes. So what bothered me is 1) I was on the phone and to be interrupted to be told I have to pay a cutting fee after I purchased a $40 cigar was bizarre to me. 2) being I was alone the entire time I smoked meant the owner was watching me which was just weird behavior as I was just sitting for 2 1/2 hours smoking a cigar. I questioned the cutting fee and was met with this is our policy. Even when I explained I purchased a cigar. Why does it matter if I smoke that one or not. Fair enough. I will not be returning. No other lounge I've been to from SD to Sacramento has done this. A warning would've been better or just a reminder as this was the first time I've actually done this. I've seen the owner several times in passing but there was absolutely zero greeting. Speaking with other local cigar smokers about this, they've all expressed their displeasure with Zarka Lounge and its owner. Im looking forward to giving Rendezvous Cigar Lounge a try. This place is awesome!!! Came here after eating at Rosa's cafe in the same parking lot. We loved the lounge and huuuuuuuge humidor! It is seriously the biggest humidor we have ever seen! Anyway we bought 4 cigars and checked out the lounge. Loved the different flavors of hookah and variety of cigars. I also picked up an ashtray. I would love to hit the lounge all the time but the $10 cover charge is a major downer. I've been to many hookah lounges and they were free to enter. read more

Terrible considerations and environment. They want to charge a fee for sitting down, which is not a problem, they want you to buy their drinks and cigars which is not a problem. I am okay with all of that. Drove over 100 miles to come here to see what it would be like. The problem is I have a cigar carrying case that has my lighter and cutter and dagger and a few cigars that I always have with me in that same case. They want me to leave my personal cigars in the sweltering heat of my car to ruin them in order to come in and enjoy there lackluster ambiance. Owner/clerk is a jerk that uses threatening language and every bad review lives up to its name here. Avoid this place at all costs. Not worth the bad experience. Save your money, time, investment and go anywhere else but here. Trust me on that one. I have been to all kinds of lounges in SoCal and Vegas and this one is the absolute worst experience. read more

OK, so I guess for this area, this may be adequate. I prefer my local places in San Diego like Churchill or Excalibur much more. There's a $10 charge to get in to the Zarka lounge area if you're not a member. Once I was inside, I didn't find much enticing me to become a member. They have a decent humidor and the cute girls working there had basic knowledge of cigars, but that's where the positives for me ended. The place was very stuffy and smoky... if you don't go to many cigar lounges, you may find that a funny statement. Most places have a decent ventilation system that circulates the air well. This place didn't... it had a couple of fans and that was it. It left the place very smoky and stale. The $10 cover charge included a house beer, house wine or house well drink. I guess I should have opted for the wine or beer because the rum and coke I got was not only small, but very weak. I doubt there was even a full shot of rum in it. As for decor... it was on the cluttered side and while the chairs were comfy, I guess I just didn't feel welcome after having to pay $10 to get in and then getting a weak drink. If you buy a cigar from a place, you shouldn't have to pay more just to enjoy the cigar at that same place. That's absurd. I won't be returning. read more

After enjoying dinner it was back home via 15 S. I noticed this establishment out from my window while driving. The neon blue sign also caught the attention of my passenger. We both looked at one another while the knowing glance shared between two people before a dirty little pleasure is enjoyed. I exited off the next ramp and back tracked to the lounge. There was plenty of parking even though it shared a parking lot with a hotel. We pulled right up and were greeted by a beautiful young woman. The shop was a good size and looked to have one of the best selections I have seen in a while. While temporarily hypnotized the young woman started to explain that the lounge was a private area. We had to be a member to sit and smoke/drink there. Since we were merrily passing through we would have to obtain a guest pass which was $10.00 per person and this included a free beer. Seriously? I don't think so, back to the drive home to sweet home San Diego! *The three star rating system was distributed in no particular order: 1.) The cigar selection 2.) We went in thinking this was just a Cigar shop. The young lady was friendly and patient as we're struggled to figure out what we wanted (we're newbies!) Eventually we noticed a doorway towards the back and discovered a full bar and lounge! After we bought our cigars we went in the bar and ordered a drink. There were various seating arrangements, a few couches set up to engage in conversation amongst friends, theater styled seating with comfy reclining chairs in front of the projection screen and a game table for poker etc. We chose the game table. There was numerous games available for play, cards, poker chips, checkers, & board games galore. I had a blast drinkin and gaming with the bf! This spot was totally date night appropriate or great for boys night out. Good selection of cigar supplies... Large walk in humidor which was being worked on, they where adding lighting I think, at first the humidor didnt feel like it was on. They have some quality cigars at average prices, a few a little higher than other places, they where displayed fairly well. Problem was I picked up one and it was hard, maybe fresh supply, tried another different brand and the same. Was disappointed, didn't want to chance it. Reading the reviews they have a lounge area, I asked the cashier what if you bring your own cigar do you still have to pay the day fee, luckily for me besides her being eye-candy and having great customer service and knowledgeable, they have a $5 cutting fee, figured reasonable I guess. Paid my cutting fee and tried their house beer, it was on the lighter side of beers... like coots light... The Lounge was nicely done, lots of T.Vs, leather couches, leather chairs, pool tables, chess, full bar...I even took some ideas home with me. Zero customer service...I bought a hygrometer and a lighter ($50.00+ total!) and neither of them worked. So I took both of them back and was told that the owner wasn't there so I had to come back at another time. I was asked to leave my number so the owner could call me??? He never called so I went back again and was told that they would contact the owner. I then asked for a refund but was told there is "no refunds". So I asked for an exchange but was told to wait for the owner to get back and they would have the owner call me??? I finally got the call, one of the gals said that they both work fine now. They work intermittently and I want "new" ones like What I paid for. Lots of back and forth driving and wasted time. I tried to support the local guy but...amazon is way safer and easier than this place. Be careful here. How can you trust someone that doesn't stand behind their products they sell. read more

So there were 4 of us here a week or so ago for a wedding and that means bachelor party. We had ideas all planned out when we got to a lounge down the street with cigars, it failed us miserably. On to Yelp we went and we found Zarka's. We walked in and and found their cigar selection to be excellent. They don't have anything ultra rare, but they had an excellent spread. Since I already had cigars at least for myself, I paid the $5 cutting fee, but that was pretty much the only down side. For the $10 admission, my compatriots got wine and whiskey. As the DD and a non-drinker to begin with, I was delighted to find that they had gourmet root beer and soda as well and I love pairing root beer with a good cigar. The couch was comfortable enough to where one of our members fell completely asleep. Coffee was good as the evening continued and service was friendly throughout the night. All in all, a wonderful experience. Alcohol, gourmet sodas, coffee, cigars, big screen TV's, even a private poker game. What more could you want? read more

I love Zarka's. They have the largest walk-in humidor in the Temecula Valley area with a great selection of cigars, including a number of Zarka's own blends, which are all very good. Zack, the owner, is one of the kindest and welcoming retail business owners I have ever met. He treats me like family. And the servers at Zarka do the same. They truly care about their customers. If you're new to Zarka, the cigars are pricier than most places and it is a private lounge which requires a paid annual membership or paid day pass. With that being said, it's a small price to pay for a beautiful, luxurious private lounge with comfy seating, pool table, poker table, and a well-stocked full bar. I come here often to get out of the office and do some work. I can't recommend it enough! read more

Wow, this place doesn't even deserve 1 star. For starters, if you're not a member, they charge $10.00 just for you to sit in the lounge, are you kidding me. Of all the cigar shops I've been too I've never seen this ridiculous. Second, your customer service is absolutely terrible and non professional, the people have no clue about the cigars in their own shop, and they follow you around and walk behind you as if you're going to steal something.
