Came in for a pair of shoes in size 41, as this was the only store that had that size, and kiana was sooo helpful. She also gave me some nice tips, and helped me decide on a pair of shoes. Thanks so much girl. P.S - I've complained to customer support about this, but Zara you all need to start catering to ladies with bigger feet, sizes 41, 42, 43 etc. there is hardly ever stock either online, or in stores, come on! One of the managers said they usually only have one size of 41 in stock, that's unacceptable. Ladies with big feet need love too, and we are Your largest market. Customer service is lacking here. Everything takes forever here so make sure you have lots of time to spare. When you try on clothes, expect very long likes for the fitting room. The lady working at the fitting room will not accept any clothes not hung on a hanger. You must hang everything that you don't want back on to the hanger for her. When you decide to buy clothes, there is always a long line at the cashier. One line is for purchasing clothes, the other is for returning clothes. I like the clothes here, it's a pity the shopping experience is never delightful. read more

I came to this Zara location to look for a pair of black slacks for work. I picked a few pairs and went downstairs to the fitting room to try everything on. I was pleasantly greeted by Elisa. we both agreed that none of the slacks I picked looked very good on me and that the material was too thick in the waist, also her being very thin as well she suggested a pair she thought would look great on me. high waisted black dress slacks.. Well, I tried them on and I LOVED THEM!!!!!! I bought 3 pair. Elisa did an excellent job helping me put together my order so I could wear the slacks out of the store and gave me the phone numbers to order them from other stores. She also assisted me in finding other locations of Zara's to purchase more pairs as well as ringing up the order. I wish all sales people were as good and helpful as Elisa. First, a big Zara fan. A lot of my clothes are Zara! Pants, shirts, jackets, hoodies, vests, and now shoes, you name it I've got it! This Zara is very nice, all the clothes are awesome but, I just have one problem. The staff are sometimes INCREDIBLY rude and unhelpful. So here's the deal, my step-mom was harassed by one of the employees! She was using a bag that she was going to purchase to hold clothes. A staff member came and harassed her about using it, saying things like "Your going to purchase that bag right?" and then "You aren't lying to me right?" What an attitude. When I came into the store and found her she told me everything. She also included that the staff member was staring at her. Total weirdo, an insane staff. I ended up getting these shoes, pants, and shirt. The checkout people were nice, kind, and helpful. We returned some clothes, but that's fine because the ones we didn't return weren't just A-OK, they were fantastic. I highly recommend this fashion business, but watch your back because sometimes the staff are rude, and very unhelpful, as well as unprofessional. read more

Men's floor fitting room was closed and when I was trying some pullovers and jackets over my t-shirt they sent security to tell me that I had to go two floors down to try the clothes. Ridiculoy approach. I ended up leaving everything there and they easily lost 500.00 in sales. Even worse the security followed me around the store as if I was a thieve. I'm not much of a Zara shopper but I do like this location. I'm trying to figure out why the reviews are so low for Zara on Yelp. It's busy busy busy in here so if you are the type of shopper that wants personalized service, don't expect that from a Zara. Head to a more high end store for that. I have found some nice pieces in here though I'd say some items are overpriced for the quality. You'll definitely find pieces that can be worked for both day and night wear. I could talk all day about Zara as a brand but this review is specifically about this location. The stock is inaccurate to what online says, employees are short with you, or lackluster about taking care of customers and the store. There is no logical organization to the store layout or where clothes are placed. The dressing rooms are an absolute joke. It's no wonder this Fifth Ave location has such poor reviews. And shocking that such a company would not be able to update their store hours on goggle search. I came to the store 15 mins before 7pm. Knowing what I was going to purchase I immediate grabbed a top, pant and coat and did another quick walk before heading to the register when I was then approached by a very aggressive sales person repeating as she followed me "we are close" we are close! She then did the same to all of the customers she walked by making us all feel uncomfortable and rushed. How would we know if perhaps we have all goggled the store hours before arriving ? maybe the security should had mentioned something when we walked in ? or make a closing announcement ? These are hard times and both your company and employees should be happy to we are giving you business and treat us more kindly! read more

Things haven't changed much here. The dressing room staff definitively need training on customer service as well as conversational English. The staff at the dressing room brought me to a room and proceeded to count all the pieces I had (not that it matters since they don't count your pieces when you exit - so it's a complete waste of time). She took all the pieces out of the in-house shopping bag and proceeded to hand them on the hooks. The only problem is there are enough hooks and the 3 hooks there didn't hold much. So a lot of pieces ended up in the floor. At some point I needed different size and stepped out of the room. The attendant kept bringing people into the dressing room but ignored me. I kept saying " excuse me" but she kept ignorant me. After a few tunes, she finally turned to me and told me she is coming to me, as if I am being impatient. Even after that she went back to bringing a few people into the room before "coming to me". I had a too and a dress which I asked for a smaller size. I SPECIFICALLY told her to bring back the 2 pieces she took from me as I need to compare how the 2 sizes fit me. I did that because I KNEW they are incompetent. Guess what. She did not bring back my 2 pieces. I reiterated that I need to compare how they fit and hence my SPECIFIC request to have her bring them back. She had no reaction. There was no apology. She simply said she left the pieces on the floor. I told her the top could be the last one in that size. You would think she would feel bad not following my request and hurry to get my top. NO. She took her time escorting more people to fitting rooms before disappearing. When she reappeared she did not have my top. I watched her worked the dressing room and gave up after a while. A bit later she cane back with my top. I had also asked her to take some pieces away (the ones I didn't want). Her answer was I can take them out on my way out. I told her I wasn't leaving yet. She couldn't care less. She is really in the wrong line of work. She doesn't want to be helpful. She ignore customers. She doesn't follow the simple ask of the customers she end up assisting. Female with heavy Dominican accent claimed to be a "manager" was incredibly rude and behaved as if she's doing customers a favor by being at work. I was directed by an employee to get into a particular line and when I followed the instructions, was accused of lying about having been told to get in the line -- by this supposed manager. I asked for her name to followup with actual management and she refused to provide it. This was incredibly unprofessional especially for a brand as great as Zara. Without of telling me the reason. Asked me for the recipe for my shoes which is I purchased the day before . I said that I don't have a receipt with me , because I purchased my shoes yesterday. Like I understand the reason of why he stopped me it's the short black thread on my shoes. While I been standing there he treat me like garbage with the manager . I want to start this review off by saying that I shop at zara on the reg. On 2/9/19 I went in this zara to find some last minute clothes for a fashion show. I chose to try on five items and only two worked out for me. Usually I put the clothes back on the hangers (because I worked in retail and I wanted to be nice) BUT i was in a rush and had no time. I assumed it was okay anyways considering its not my job to put the clothes back on the hanger. I gave the three items back to the young tall male with beads in his hair that was working in the dressing room in a pile. He looks at me in disgust and takes the clothes from me and says "Next time put the clothes back on the hanger." I was surprised and began to feel frustrated as I replied to him "isn't that your job?" He goes "Actually no, it isn't", while hanging clothes on the dressing rack. I immediately put the other two items back. You don't tell me, the customer, what to do and to boss me around. He made my outlook on zara become negative and I would've cussed him out but I knew that I was better than that. I then went to speak to the manager and complained to her. This was my first time speaking to a manager because I was that frustrated. They actually close at 7, not 8 as yelp and google suggest (I've informed them twice now) and I was told they close their fitting rooms 1-2 hours before the store closes depending on staffing, apparently. They are also extremely rude as it gets near closing time. A lot of people in the area work until 6pm so inconsistently closing your fitting rooms at 5-6 and rushing people out by 7 when your business hours are listed until 8pm is quite inconvenient. read more

This Zara is all about location..Perfectly situated on the corner of 42nd & 5th Ave! Inside, I like the layout, modern interior, feels spacious. Fashion-wise though..Zara is definitely NOT for me..lol One day..back in January, I went on their site and saw that there was a huge sale going on. So I ordered 2 pairs of shoes and had them shipped to this Zara store for pickup. When I arrived, I asked an associate at the registers where to pick up online orders. Without looking up from her phone or acknowledging my presence, she's like,"Upstairs, children's section." (OKAY, RUDE MUCH). Got upstairs, got my package and opened them up right there.. First impressions were: "Damn..they're FUGLY. They looked better online.." So obviously, I returned them right there..LOL So yeah..that was my only experience at a Zara store. I had some trouble with the Zara online ordering process. Every time I had my items in the cart and started checking out my cart would empty. Feeling a bit frustrated I showed up at the Bryant Park store yesterday where a wonderful sales associate named Patricia Martinez patiently helped me get every single item that I wanted. My list was long, over twenty items and she went through each one to be sure she was correct. It was a tedious process but she was a trooper and we got it done. For my birthday I got a dress from Zara from a friend, without a gift receipt. I went to 4 different Zara stores to be told they no longer had this dress and the only thing they could do for me was exchange it for the same item since I did not have a gift receipt. At the 5th store I went to, they once again told me they no longer sold this dress and told me to call customer service. I called customer service, only to receive the WORST customer service I ever received by a MANAGER. She went on to tell me that there is nothing they could do since I did not have a gift receipt. However, I am not a rude person and would never ask someone who is giving me a gift to also provide me with a gift receipt in case I did not like the item or had to exchange it for a different size. This manager went on to tell me that I had no options since I didn't have the receipt. So now I am stuck with a dress I love but it is not in my size so I can't wear it, meaning I will have to just toss it away because they can't even give me store credit or provide me with any other options. This is the most ridiculous return policy. Every other store I buy clothes at, I can always return gifts for store credit or the same item. I was a loyal Zara customer for YEARS, yet NEVER again will I or anyone in my family step foot in this store. Thanks for the worst customer service experience ever!!!!! read more

Irritating. I just came from dinner and I have a small pizza box. Im picking up an online order but before I do, I want to look around to see if I want to buy anything else (most likely, yes). I go to the register and tell them that. And the girl says, "we don't give out bags." I'm like, "uh.. Im going to buy something later though.".. "we don't give out bags unless you buy something.". You mean you can't even give out your cheap a** paper bags to someone who's already a customer? Instead you want me to set down my pizza box on the shelf and on top of clothes while I'm looking around? Shore. I'll do that then. Cheap as he11.
