I'm not surprised at the super low ratings of this store. Believe them, please. Avoid this Zara at all cost. As a matter of fact, avoid Zara completely. I'm done shopping here. ALSO, if you look at my reviews, I NEVER review retail places, but my experience was so terrible, I have to write a review. I was gonna go in on the horrible customer service I had here at the square one location, but it's been a few days and I'm choosing my words a little more carefully now lol. The person doing my return blamed ME for making her life difficult (actual words) because she got some sort of error message on her register when processing my return? She said verbatim "if you purchased it online, you should do an online return". Ummm ma'am, then why do they give us the the option to return online purchases in store? I'm exercising that option. As if I purposely went in that day to make her life difficult and put that error message on her computer? Mind you, I was being very nice and very patient the whole time, as I would never be rude to a retail person. She was just rude for literally no reason. We even had to ASK her to call the manager to see if maybe they could help. Like....wouldn't you think to call the manager yourself in the first place, if there's something happening on the register that you don't understand? Common sense is not so common. Anyways, a manager eventually came and was much nicer and much more helpful. So that was appreciated. Although upon arriving home and calling customer service to make sure a refund was in process, I come to find out it wasn't. *eye roll*. Zara square one retail store has lost all brand integrity. The store looks similar to a sirens ( when sirens was around). Store incredibly dirty, the store is so dusty the bottom of all the merchandise accumulated dust balls the size of golf balls. There is make up on half the clothes I picked up. One shirt had the hanger rip through the seam. The store is always over crowded. Lines up everywhere of 20+ customers; change rooms, the register, and to walk through is shoulder to shoulder. On top of that I saw a creepy older man watching girls in the kids section and even peeped into the kids change room, when I complained to staff, she said that was her general manager. The general manager needs to be investigated and / or have a criminal background check for an alleged violation. read more

I dont think I've seen a store this messed up in a long long time... it was so bad, it turned to be more funny than anything. Sure Zara... $12 clothes! Yes it's a good sale ... if you could even find something. So many clothes were thrown about, nothing was in a place that made sense, and if you did want to buy something, the crazy part there was a line up of at least 16 people. Forget even trying something on... I think half the rooms had other people stuff from who knows when. Something tells me they're seriously understaffed. I find this store to be one of the smallest Zara in the GTA and with the most casual lower end items. Save your sanity and your dollars and head over to Yorkdale or Sherway. At least they dont look like a fashion bomb went off. read more

Zara - Complete and utter disaster zone - Women's Clothing Near Me - Mississauga, Ontario

The clothing is of good quality generally, but returning an online purchase is ridiculous. The company uses PUDO , which has very few agencies across Toronto. These are mostly found in convenience stores or unmanned offices. SO inconvenient when one has to drive some distance to find an agency. As has been mentioned before, the stores are not well organized. Not worth the hassle. read more

Worst Zara location in Ontario. Extremely rude manager (tall black woman - other reviewers mention a tall white man. I'm guessing there's two?). I needed to return some items that I ordered online, however, the manager wouldn't let me in. I got to the store at 6.30pm, and the store hours are till 7pm. The manager's excuse was that the store was at capacity. As I waited outside, around 20 people have left, but the manager still wouldn't let me in (I'm assuming because I wanted to return stuff, instead of buying). Wow! What a mess for the middle-of-a-weekday...not even after work hours. Something tells me that this location is a bit mismanaged. I stood in a line in order to return/exchange some stuff from zara.com. I was literally in line for approx. 20mins while there were only 2 cashiers with 1 doing returns. Line wrapped all the way around the barriers. No other cashiers jumped on. Cashier + supervisor who had to authorise the return were pleasant, but again, not in any rush to get done. Just leisurely taking their time - which is fine by me, but just sucks if you're a customer in line! Preface: This isn't the store's fault, but their return policy for their online store is dumb. I purchased a total of 6 items last week and the price on 5/6 of them were at least $10 cheaper which is ~$50 difference! So I wanted to return a couple and get a price difference on the rest. HOWEVER, according to their policy, I am unable to purchase the same item within a 24-hour "hold period" at the discounted price. VERY STUPID! So if I was a 'good girl' and listened to all their rules, I would have to come back to the store, try to find the items I returned, in the right sizes mind you, and stand in that bloody line again. No. I was able to find 1 of my items and I just re-purchased it through another cashier. Fitting Room also seemed mismanaged. Clothes all over the place, hangers everywhere, even in the actual fitting rooms. Tags all over the floor. Purchasing line at the men's dept. was equally slow. Male cashier seemed more focused on finding a working stapler than serving customers! (He even handed the stapler to a supervisor and was like, "What do I do...this doesn't work??" Like the world was ending.) Someone ahead of me finally complained and that's when another cashier finally jumped on. I don't think they were short-staffed as there were quite a few people buzzing about on the sales floor. I have shopped here on/off ever since they opened at this location and the people here are not the friendly type thats for sure. Not a fan of their customer service. Like seriously.. I really tried giving them the benefit of a doubt over the years but my experience lately was like WTF. Anyway, in terms of styles and what not.. Well you need to lose wait to fit into their sizes..I always have a problem with their so called sizes, the same number fits well outside at any other store. That's my 2 cents on size. But rest is all good. Their quality and style both are good and that's what they charges high prices for. There is a big section for both guys and girls and the service isn't bad either. But don't you wait up for any sale. Firstly, the sale usually isn't much if there is any. Secondly, they remove the good stuff before the sale. Well that's what they did on boxing day, as the whole rack of their double collar shirts which are their all year disappeared nightly before boxing day :) All in all good store to check out. read more

They have he worst return policy, couldn't return a shirt with all original tags that was a gift so I didn't have the receipt for store credit. It has in small writing behind some clutter on the front desk that explains the policy (only original receipt not even a picture or photocopy). Felt rude asking the person who got it for me for the receipt when they got t for me figuring I will keep it perfect and exchange this weekend. Staff were short with me and not interested in helping either. Guess I'll donate it to good will. read more

Worst store when it comes to return an item! I have never had such a bad experience with any other store but Zara which is a multinational brand and you would expect this company to be a little lenient with their customers when it comes to the return policy but actually no. I bought a pair of jeans and spent around $60 and after one wash, the fabric got ripped which clearly looked like a manufacturing defect. I did send the pictures to customer care however, they told me that it doesn't look like a defect from their end. This is how they treat their customers and when it comes to taking money for any cheap clothing, they do not even leave a penny behind. I would never ever buy from Zara and I would never recommend anyone either because if you can't treat your customer right, I would rather spend more money or go to another competitor. read more

I'm not one to write reviews on stores but in this case I was so disappointed I felt the need too. My aunt bought me a dress from Zara that was a size too small, so I went to see if I could exchange it for something else. They were having a sale, so the store was a literal zoo with clothes strewn everywhere. The changeroom floors looked like they hadn't been swept in weeks because there was so much dust and hair in the corners. When I finally went to line up, I stood in line for about 40 minutes before being told by the cashier that I could not exchange the items with my gift receipt that I had, because it had been over 30 days. Not sure what the point of a gift receipt is then. I would have asked to speak to a manager but after already spending nearly an hour and a half in the store, all I wanted was to get the hell out of there. read more

One of the worst stores out there in sq1. We bought a jacket at Zara with cash. The size didn't fit and we had to return it. The lady at the counter took the jacket back and without telling us put the refund on a Zara gift card. We have no intention of spending $225 at Zara and we spent almost 2 hours talking with manager and higher ups to no avail. They refused to refund our cash even after we strongly expressed that we had no intention of getting a Zara gift card for $225. Absolutely worst customer service, worst store, and quality out there. WORST retail location EVER. Dean (who is apparently a MANAGER) yelled at me today on the phone (I am female) and then he hung up on me when I told him I was feeling threatened and uncomfortable with his tone, and would prefer to deal with a female employee. DISGUSTING. I called customer service, and will continue to hound them until something is done. At first I wondered if it was just a "one off" experience, as I have never personally had issues in ANY of my 36 years as a retail shopper!! However, after reading the reviews of this store in particular, it is clear to see this store is VERY mismanaged, and completely offside. The customer service is really bad. It's my first time using fitting room at Zara. It was a female staff at the fitting room entry. She ORDERED me to have my bag touched on a scanner. I was confused with the scanner for a second because I have never been asked to scan my bag at a fitting room! When I have my bag scanned and turned back to the staff, she already disappeared! At least she should told me follow her or something. When I finished and go back to shopping, the staff called me back loudly, I was embarrassed cause everyone nearby all looked at me. She asked me to have bag scanned again. The staff was really rude. She knows nothing about customer service! I love Zara and their clothes, but the staff members of the Square One location are extremely rude, unfriendly and poorly trained. I work in retail as well so I can understand their frustrations, however this doesn't give them the right to give awful customer service or half-ass their job. I bought an item around early evening on April 5th. The cashier at the men's section was extremely stuck up and clearly didn't know the basic process of cashing someone out. Didn't greet me, didn't even tell me what my total was or asked how I was going to pay- she literally just stood there silently, processed the item and put it inside the bag.
