Highly recommend to thrift shop here!…read more They have alot of brand name clothes, accessories, and more like Aritzia, Shein, Nike, etc! I never thrifted before and when i stumbled upon this store on my instagram story feed, they caught my attention. I instantly knew i wanted try this place out. I came here couple of times with my family during the pandemic. The experience was and is positive. I actually went by today to look for new wide set pants and a place to try on since i like to visually see myself with the clothing item. Surprisingly they have lots that aligned to my style. Me and my sister got a couple of pairs we bought and are happy with it. Everyone was so nice! I didn't know that i can apply for customer account under Plato's. The cashier explained i can get points everytime i visit. The only thing i knew was that you can take pictures and post, tagging their user on instagram to get 10% haha! So i applied to get points, and got extra for not getting a plastic bag for the pants we bought. That was great. And honestly, this is the only place i shop for clothes now since it's budget-friendly, close to where i live. The pants i got was under $20 which is perfect! Can't wait to come back againnn!

I am typically late to any trendy bandwagon. I wait for crowds to dissipate and then make my move…read more I am also patient. I'm probably too patient for my own good. The first LL Bean store to open in Canada was this one in Oakville. If my memory serves me well, it was Summer 2019 when it opened its doors. I was recently in Oakville. I was at Oakville Place for the first time. I saw this store. I was happy. Over four years later, I made the pilgrimage to this store. It wasn't intentional, though. I just happened to need a Shoppers Drug Mart, which was steps away from this store. I became an LL Bean fan during my undergraduate years. For some unknown reason, I got its catalogue in the mail. I loved it so much. My first purchase was a purple pair of Mary Jane suede shoes from Rieker. I loved them so much that I grew to love LL Bean t-shirts and more. I was thrilled that my first LL Bean store that I frequented was its flagship store in Freeport, ME. I did a road trip eastbound through Canada and returned through the States. The flagship store was incredible, with its huge signature boot in front of the store. I have visited Canadian LL Bean stores in Barrie, Ottawa, and now, Oakville. I didn't feel the same excitement as I did getting products stateside. Maybe it's the price. I am a different shopper who likes deals and sales. I have rarely seen any decent discounts on products that I want at Canadian locations, including this one. I loved looking at branded tumblers, cute t-shirts, comfy hoodies, and more. Paying $75 for a t-shirt is frankly ridiculous. You want to be in the corners of this store. Clearance items are there. The back left corner had women's clothing discounted at 40% off. It's decent. Sadly, I didn't find anything in this corner that I wanted to buy. I did enjoy checking out the handbags, travel items, and luggage section. Prices weren't cheap, but I liked them. If you love YETI products, you have a fine selection here. Coolers. Tumblers. Ice chests. I saw so many accessories just for its drinkware. It was fascinating. You do pay for quality. Be prepared to shell out. Surprise! Out of all the LL Bean stores in Canada, I only bought items at the Ottawa location. I was there to partake in a Canada Day sale and there were more products on sale. I wish that there were a similar sale when I was at this store. It was nice to get my fix seeing and touching products, as opposed to leafing through a physical catalogue or browsing items online. This store was huge and spacious. I had an enjoyable time. I do hope that there are more sales in future. The outerwear and footwear looked so nice and functional. (430)

On our visit here, there was 10% off the entire store. They have a lot of camping supplies like tents, waterproof blankets and bags, and iconic games that you would play at camp (cornhole for one). Some other camp/cottage activities that they also had were kayaks and paddleboards, both the inflatable ones and the hard ones. They had a huge selection of Yeti mugs and all of these were included in the 10% discount. There were some that I haven't seen before, including one that can keep your cans insulated! This one comes with a display can that can be used for storage.

As a female it may seem weird for me to write a review on a suit shop - but honestly the service…read morehere is top notch! This Port Credit location has the absolute most amazing, friendly, helpful and informative staff that I have ever encountered. It takes a lot of time, effort and organization to make anything custom - especially an entire suit! I really admire all of the thoughtfulness that goes into their process. My fiance is having his suit made at Surmesur for our wedding. The groomsmen are also partaking in a "fitting party" in August where we will have already picked out the colour, style, fabrics of the jacket, pants and shirt - and the wedding party will come in and have a measurement and fitting night! They can bring in food, music, drinks and have a get together while the store is closed for a private small event. I just love this idea! My fiance is doing this as part of their bachelor party day with his groomsmen. My dad (father of the bride) is also having his suit for the wedding made here. My dad has never had anything custom before, and the staff (Malcom especially) was so patient and helpful with him - trying to keep him on track of being "trendy" while keeping with a "timeless" look that he can wear separate or as a full suit again! I am so happy that we found this lovely shop and I am so excited to see my fiance's suit come in! They say it takes about 4-6 weeks for the suit (3-piece) to be made, and it's all ready done and ready to pick up - we are just waiting for the custom shirt to come in! You can also go online and create pieces, see fabrics, check out their Surmesur Pinterest for inspiration, or just go on in to the store and ask questions - they are so happy to chat! Don't be surprised if they are all wearing the coolest suits you have seen :) They also have ties, pocket squares and other accessories for all your suit needs! Now...if only they made custom dresses with the same process... ;)

I was stupid. I used to buy off the rack suits from Tip Top, then Moore's, then Harry Rosen's…read more They would hem the pants (for a fee) and off I would go. Looking like another "off the rack" guy with an ill fitting suit just like the next guy. Then I went to Surmesur. Some really knowledgeable consultants (not sales flunkies) discussed my options and then guided me to design a custom built suit like nobody else's. I chose the fabric, a funky lining, the lapel type, the buttons, what kind of pockets and much more. Every part of the process had two discoveries--1) I did not know what makes a suit good and 2) I have wasted a lot of money on "off the rack" sacks. A custom suit starts at the same price as I paid for off the rack! Then came the measurements. The guys not only recorded my physical specifications, they tweaked them based on my desires. With my specs in my online profile, I can now order more perfectly fitting shirts or suits online. Now I am smart. And in about 5 weeks when my suit is finished, I will look smart too!!

I compare it to browsing a book store because there is so much to look at here. Clothes, accessories, housewares, books and stationary. I personally love the style of clothing at this store. It's certainly on the pricier side however if you make your way to the top floor and head to the back they have a pretty extensive sale section. If you are like me and like a good deal, they have tons to choose from. I like the design and layout of this store, it's big enough that we could social distance while browsing. In terms of staff, it was difficult to figure out who was working and who was shopping. I didn't need assistance but if I did I wouldn't be sure where to turn. I noticed this time visiting there was no one manning the door to count capacities, but I know they have staffed for this in the past. Overall if you're in the area and want to browse funky clothes and housewares, go ahead and try Anthropologie.

Im not sure how Anthropologie does it but they seem to score a lot of gorgeous historical buildings…read morein high traffic spots to set their stores. This particular location is quite large for a suburban downtown and has that heritage feel. Love how it's an old re purposed bank. For those who love festivals, bohemian lifestyle or style, or just looking like you fit in with other native Californians, this would be your store. Everything here is carefully curated and presented to give you that desire to look and be inspired by the beautiful tropics. Like the website, the store has that refined luxury vacation vibe... it also needs the price tag that goes with it. I have to give credit to Anthropologie... though they do follow trends, they are not limited or hop onto every single new instragram trend. They do stick to the same image of the carefree glam girl. I also feel that they dont quite take their store sizing to petites like me. Their normal dress length makes me feel like a kid... I think you'd need to be at least 5'7" to be making these long flowy dresses and skirt work. For the clothing itself, I found most of designs simple and basic but their prints and colour scheme is what keeps them unique. Vivid and bold, all of them stand out ... especially against the millennial dusty pink trend of late. When I was there, it was bold sienna, rusts, splashes of turquoise, or saffrons. If you want to be carefree and yet catching looks... good spot. I will say their white fabrics... sheer. So if you want to buy a white dress, you'll probably need to get an extra lining. The other thing about Anthropologie, the price point is notably higher than what you'd see in a mall. Simple short dresses start at $120 and the nicer ones are above $250. How carefree is a $250 free flowing dress? ... probably not what I was expecting. They also carry a lot of interesting skincare and house ware to keep you browsing for a while. I saw some nice brands like Farmacia, and Tocca. I would have been extremely impressed if they had RMS or lanolips are those are harder to find in Toronto. For Oakville, this was a step up seeing how there isnt a Sephora nearby. As for service... I didnt really see anyone except the lone person behind the counter. On a Sunday afternoon, it was quite empty ... store and service. No one was there to greet anyone or help people find sizes. Though to be fair, I've never been in an Anthropologie with a proactive service staff. Usually you have to hunt someone down or find someone in the change area to help you. Oakville seems like the right demographics for this spot ... maybe if there is a sale, it might be more reasonable for some to afford a cute low key dress but for now, I'll just continue browsing.
