Honestly, this was one of the worst shopping experiences of my entire life. The employees were extremely rude and treated me horribly. They made snarky comments about how I didn't need a new coat and much more. When I returned with a bunch of friends, since I now had a huge store credit, the sales associate wouldn't even pull a coat for me to try on since he said, "I tried it on the day before". I then told him that I wanted to try it on for my friends so I could get their opinion on the coat. The sales associate then walked away. Talk about rude! I just spent over $1000 in their store and they just walk away?? Are you kidding me?? Luckily I had three amazing friends with me who helped me pull and try on as many coats as possible to find one that would be a decent fit for the cold winter months ahead. This store would not give me a refund. Any other store would have given me a refund or purchased the coat I wanted in the bigger size. I couldn't believe the snarky comments coming out of the employees mouths. My friends were flabbergasted at the attitude the employees were spitting out at us. I will NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN!!!! I rather go to a store like Holt Renfrew or Mendocino where they do what needs to be done to make the customer happy. Holt Renfrew will fix products that need mending and their customer service is way better. Mendocino would have ordered me the coat in the larger size in a heartbeat. This store was so nice to me when I spent over $1000 here but as soon as I wanted to make an exchange or get a refund they couldn't care less. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS STORE AT ALL!!! I will NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN!!! I learnt my lesson about buying a big ticket item at a mom and pop shop. I will never make this mistake again. It's a shame because I'm sure there are great mom and pop shops where they care about their customers but this store DOES NOT CARE about anyone except their check book. read more

It is cold AF out and it makes you wonder how anyone living farther north than you are capable of venturing out of their pillow & blanket forts. The Japanese ladies helping us downstairs in the CG vault are super patient, knowledgeable about CG offerings, and provided suggestions for jackets in the right TEI rating for DC winters. Even though I didn't end up buying mine from Due West since we were in a different part of town prior to leaving Toronto, their suggestions helped me narrow down the jacket I eventually bought and love in this weather. They also offer Fusion Fit for petites that we didn't find calling around other CG resellers like Holt Renfrew. The wide-selection and availability in sizes definitely makes this a good spot to get a good dose of goosey warmth. read more

They are SO NICE here. I ignored all of the items in there because I was just focused on their Aigle rainboots. RAINBOOTS FROM FRANCE! Heaven-sent. Much better than the ones from Hunter (now made in China / Indonesia, and frankly, feel like crap). They're softer (made of vulcanized rubber), and only just a BIT more expensive than Hunters (especially for being made in France and not some Third World country). Come. HERE. I also like their jewellery and other things, but I already shopped a lot that day so I was purposefully beelining in on those rainboots and ignoring the rest of their things. I'm not sure about the leather goods tag because I haven't seen anything other than belts on sale but I do recall this place being filled with cowboy boots and leather jackets years and years ago. Now you will find all sorts of pricey goodies from top to toe. If you have a soft spot for things like Evisu, True Religion, *shudder* Diesel and the like, then this place will appeal to you. They have jeans, jeans and more jeans, dress shirts, Nixon watches and shoes. The staff are pretty laid back and that might be confused for standoffish but I found once you get them talking they open right up and are super friendly and helpful. I emailed to ask if they would order it in for me, and it turned out that it was already in stock - a listing online was made and sent to me SO quickly! When I went to purchase the watch I called the gentleman who had emailed me to ask about shipping (and insurance) and he offered to expedite the package for me for free. He was responsive, reasonable and went out of his way to give me whatever assistance he could. All in all, he made a stressful experience as easy as possible, and was the epitome of helpful and professional. I loved some of the clothes upstairs, but this store offers THE RUDEST customer service I have ever experienced anywhere. It inspired me do more research about Canada Goose as a company so now, when I look at someone who is wearing one, all I can see is a bloody gutted coyote that was left to suffer and die slowly and painfully in a cruel leg trap wrapped around their face and geese having their feathers ripped out of their skin. I made the purchase but found out shortly after that they're unable to ship it to the US (due to a specific customs issue with the fur hood, not their fault). I called Olivia and she helped me through the entire process. She even agreed to put my item on the side (it was on sale, I didn't want it to sell out) until I figured everything out. I've been coming to the store a couple times over the last year as I really admire a lot of the brands they bring in. I didn't buy anything significant from them until recently. I've always been treated great by the staff at the store when I come to browse their items. They offer advice, are always willing to check for me if they have a size on something I'm interested in and are willing to let me try on anything I ask, despite never buying anything from them. A bit over a week ago and I'm looking to buy some new shoes from Y-3 directly. I was trying to find local stores that may carry it but no one had it on their website and the stores I spoke to said they wouldn't be getting it. Then it dawned on me that Duewest carries some Y-3 stuff so I checked their website and they had just added it to their new arrivals. I wanted to try it in person so I gave them a call and they said they hadn't received their shipment yet and that they'd be getting it as part of their Y-3 spring/summer collection and that they'd only get a pair for each size of the shoe I wanted in the store. They added me to a call-list to inform me when they get the shoes in and said they would notify me on the shipment date. I decided I didn't want to risk the chance of them not calling me back due to all the bad reviews on Yelp and ended up ordering a pair from their Duewest website(I chose the option to directly ship it to the store for pickup). Fast forward to yesterday and an employee from the store gave me a call and informed me that they had received their stock for the shoes and that I could come check it out. I informed him that I made an order online already and he said that I would get an email saying to come pick it up. He said that if I wanted to, I could come pick it up immediately and he would get it ready for me to be picked up. I went to the store, and it was all a seamless pickup. I tried it on to make sure the size was right and everything looked ok and that was about it. I decided to browse their new Y-3 collection and although the staff were chatting with each other about random stuff they were helpful in answering any questions I had an didn't seem bothered that I was disturbing them from their conversations. I don't want to knock on other people's reviews because they may have genuinely bad experiences, but I've always had a good experience browsing/shopping at the store and will continue to shop there for sure read more
