It seems to me the priorities are skewed. June 2021, With the pandemic, the location seems to of gotten much busier. There are no social distancing markers or mask mandates. I recently had to start wearing formal business attire so I begin buying blazers and dresses from the website. Most of my items had to be returned. I was lucky enough to find different sizes at the store to replace the items. Since the associate said online orders are different I had to return everything and purchase the items I wanted. Terrible customer service. Won't let me return or exchange pants I bought less than a week ago that exploded at the seams due to the cheap threading. Refers me to a phone number that doesn't work and then tells me to use the website. Store is a scam with horrible customer service that won't let you return or exchange because it appears "worn" even though it's brand new (6 days ago) while having the receipt. Never spending a dime with this brand ever again. 50 dollars for 1 dollar quality that doesn't last 10 minutes without falling apart. My review is in regards to the service received on Tuesday, April 11th. We came in at around noon. It wasn't too busy as it was a weekday. I want to use this review as an opportunity to thank the young man who works at Zara. His name is Jaelyn (apologies for most likely writing his name incorrectly). He was incredibly helpful at the self checkout booths. He was patient with every question I asked and thoroughly explained the self checkout process. This is the worst costumer service I've received. I felt discriminated, I was over charged and when I brought it to their attention they literally treated me as if I was a criminal. Meanwhile there were others who were clearly shoplifting and they literally didn't do anything about it. If Zara knows they're going to have a big sale, they should at least accommodate the customers by having proper staff and additional ways of checking out. Poor customer service, horrible staffing....Line is always long. 3 register stations but never open. Kids and Men's section register are almost never open. Women's section is always a mess. Product sensors are always placed on the wrong part of the clothing, ends up leaving a hole each time I bought clothes. I end up going back in line just to return items after seeing all the holes caused by sensors. Extremely expensive unrealistic price tags for such quality you get. This store continues to disappoint. I have been a luxury retail manager for over seven years. The way this store has been run is completely UNACCEPTABLE. For years (yes, years) this store has been UNDERSTAFFED. If you find something you like, expect to wait 20 MIN MINIMUM TO PAY for the product. All registers are never open. Ordered something and chose delivery instead of in store pickup. My mistake because it has now turned into the worst experience. I have been waiting for days passed my expected delivery date. Contacted the delivery company who says they lost the package. Told me to contact Zara, so i did. On the phone the customer service representative was rude and condescending. Re-open the lines at the men's section to reduce the long lines. You guys can also do a better job stating when you have your fitting rooms open. Yes they are understaffed. Yes they're overworked. But overall we are in a pandemic and they're in a sale. After working long hours they were courteous enough to allow me into the store right before closing time. They exchanged my items and patiently waited while my APPLE ID card wasn't going through. Either the employees lack common sense or they're just flat out lazy for not putting up a simple standing sign that says "Online Order Pick Up" in front of the connecting entrance to the kids section. I had to wait more than 15 minutes in line at the ladies clothing section and when it was my turn, the employee said I had to go to the register at the kids section to pick up my online order. Honestly, I was pissed because I wasted more than 15 minutes in line when this could've been easily addressed with a sign that leads customers to the kids section for online orders. They could put one standing sign near the main entrance and one at the connecting entrance to the kids section. Woman went down at the register - passed out briefly and disoriented when she regained consciousness l. Staff did not call 911 but rather mall security. Yes, security that showed up 5+ minutes later with zero medical knowledge/equipment. Second security officer showed up with as much knowledge and a first aid kit. One of the worst experiences I ever had! Shopping on a Wednesday night where the shop closes at 9pm, I was told at 8:10pm that the line (in the mens dept was closed) and I had to go to the womens side to get in line , meanwhile all I was purchasing was a pair of mens shoes, BUT, as I stepped in line, I was immediately told that the line was closed and there was clearly a few people ahead of me, the gentleman that got in line at the exact time I did(different skin color than mine) was told "it's fine you can wait there" , and I asked "why do I have to go to the other slide", the reply "because the line is closed" I was so confused. I would give a better review because of the clothing. I have purchased really nice items over the years, even on a recent trip to Barcelona. however, the customer service is horrible. As mentioned in other reviews, the staff can be very rude at times. And online, the staff has no way of offering a satisfactory solution when calling the 855 number , they read from the same script of "can't help you" and claim there is never a manager available. The delivery service they use should not have license, for they are horrible. they have changed the delivery date everyday of my package for 7 days and after 7 days, still has not delivered my package and all ZARA says is wait 48 hours more. They know nothing about the customer experience or the realization that I should not be arguing with the transportation company, they should. Aside from that they should be attempting to offer at least a Good customer experience, at this point Excellent is out of their realm; a refund or a replacement sent via a different company, or offering to ship it to the store for pickup. I understand they are not an American company but surely they must know the slogan, not that "the customer is always right" But the Customer is Always the Customer. I wanted to return an order I bought online because it came with a black stain on it and when I tried to return, the manager had told me that I couldn't return it because the clothing labels (the tag that's attached to the inside of the clothes with the material, etc) was cut off. The thing is....I had NEVER cut that off. It was missing since I've received the item. I'm pretty sure that they sent me an item that was previously returned by another customer because it even had a string of hair inside!! I told the manager that the label was never there to begin off with and that I had never cut anything off but she didn't care at all!! She just kept telling me that I couldn't make a return without that clothing label even tho the coat never even came with one?!?! I just wasted $200 only to receive a defected item and not being able to return it to get my money back. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.
