Worse customer service ever. I feel like I'm at the DMV. The workers here move like turtles. Lines are always long and you could be standing in line (in the same spot!!!) for 30 mins! Can I give this location zero stars? I love Zara and have shopped at the Chicago, NY and Boston locations finding great styles with good prices. I was so excited when I heard they were opening a store at the Mall of America but this location is the absolute worst. It is a mess and although many employees roam the floor no one is helpful, instead they are rude or condescending when you ask for help. They have multiple places to check out but only one is ever open with 15 minute waits to pay. We had issues returning an item we bought on line and asked to speak to a manager. She would not give us her name (we heard someone call her Kayla) and would not help us. We finally just left angry and frustrated because they took the jacket back without proof of credit to our visa. So disappointed with this place. read more

The worst Zara I've ever been in. Clothes haphazardly on racks like you might experience at TJ Max or Nordstrom Rack. No curated looks at all. You might be able to score deal on something if you really spend a lot of time digging. It feels like a liquidation location for Zara, and not a normal shop. another one star review for MOA's Zara! while i love the styles and ingenuity that this company churns out, they seriously need to re-evaluate who's on staff here. i actually love that the employees here ignore shoppers- there's nothing worse than an overbearing sales associate who pounces as soon as you walk in. American retail culture needs more of this passive attitude if you ask me. a few months ago i was browsing the men's section by myself. there was a couple nearby, i kept making eye contact with one of the guys who frankly looked disgusted that i was there. the other guy had a severe case of RBF. i didn't really think anything of it, as i'm quite used to that specific bitchy gay culture you'd find at a club. i was trying to find my size jeans when RBF man brushes past me and says "oops you ran into me" .. that's when i noticed he was wearing a Zara communication radio! nice. a little while later i head to the register on the men's floor and RBF's twinky sidekick behind the counter says "you're gonna want to head downstairs to check out" cute! i love that Zara encourages this kind of toxic employee behavior. This store in the Mall of America is poorly staffed and poor customer service. I went in on a friday night around 6pm and there were only 2 registers open. There were 3 other employees upstairs but no register ope. And 3 other employees downstairs. I'm a huge fan of Zara and I was so excited that they opened a Zara at the Mall of America. Unfortunately the staff members didn't seem too friendly. I was looking for a sales associate on the sales floor, and couldn't find one. Finally I found one next to the register. She told me she was on break, and told me to have the associate at the register help me, in a sassy attitude. She knew I was heading towards the register and cut in front of me (to the only guy at the register) to help ring her belongings out. She literally knew I was waiting in line and even stood there for a good period of time, gossiping with her co worker. Just because she's unhappy, making minimum wage. read more

Wish there was a zero star option. I stood in the checkout line today and watched the slowest cashier known to man who seemed to get more lethargic the longer the line got! He had no sense of urgency as the line got longer and longer. I kept waiting for him to call for another cashier to help with the long line, but he never did. Another employee came over and I thought finally someone was coming to help, but nope. She didn't seem concerned a bit and went on her merry way. I love this store and have shopped numerous locations including Paris and Rome. I have never experienced such awful customer service as the one at mall of america. I bought a pair of pants less than a week ago. Today I tried to exchange them with the tags on, in the bag, receipt at home tho. I wanted to purchase a Jean skirt instead and was hoping to just pay the difference. The store clerk was a snob and completely shut me down. No exceptions and wouldn't work with me. Worst Zara ever. One particular associate will make you take off the hangers while he watches. Once you're done he'll slowly put the hangers away on a rack behind him, one at a time. After scanning my items he starts to clean the counter without totaling my transaction and having me pay while he's "cleaning". When the time came to handing me my items he crumpled my receipt and threw it in the bag and tossed the bag on the counter. I asked another associate on my way out to speak to a manager. The manager came out after a few minutes and I explained my experience to him and all I got was "that's how it is, we're super busy right now". I left feeling disappointed. The associates and leads here have no interest in providing a positive experience. I understand it's a super busy season and most businesses are short staffed due to covid however, this is unacceptable. I've worked in retail as a manager and I know how challenging it can be with some customers; Associates at this location will give you an attitude for just walking in the doors. People here don't want to work and I doubt they have any interest in keeping the store brand. I anticipate this Zara location to be closing its doors soon. read more

I have lived in LA and Manhattan and I am used to the larger flagship style stores ..... but my goodness what I saw almost made me cry. I have never truly been impressed in what is in stock for Zara Man in stores, they usually don't match what's online. Anyways, this Zara had piles of clothes on almost every corner, literally half the items were on the floor. As a guy I spent about 10mins on the 1st floor without seeing any labels for "Mens" finally I left the store and actually came back by accident while on the 2nd floor where the mens section is. I usually spend $200+ whenever I go into a Zara, but holy cow I did not see anything recognizable from the online selection. I was so disappointed because this was the only reason I tagged along with my aggressive family today. Triple zeros for this Zara location. The employees here are miserable and hate their job. Been here a few times and every time, never a hello, never "can I help you", and when asked about a different size, always annoyed. Today, I came in for a return and was told I needed the same credit card the purchase was made on (no exceptions). Went to look for my husband (who had the card), came back a few minutes later and continue the return. Husband accidentally inserted a different credit card and the system processed just fine. When I realized what had happened, I asked for an adjustment so credit can go back to the original card. Cashier was annoyed, called his manager and manager refused to adjust return, noting it's not her problem that we inserted the wrong card. She further instructed us to deal with our credit card companies for an adjustment. This has been our worst experience so far. read more

No stars if I could. This location has the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. I have shopped at multiple Zara locations including Miami and NY and the service here has deterred me from ever stepping foot in another store again. I work for a company that prides themselves on taking care of the customer regardless of what multi-channel chain the items were purchased from; Zara obviously doesn't believe in this concept. They sent me the wrong item that I purchased online and refused to return it because there system won't "allow" them to scan the item if it doesn't match. I asked to speak to a manager and the employee calls her over the walkie saying "can you come out here to tell this customer what I told her. She wants to hear it from you...the same exact thing I just told her." I don't think I needed to be a part of that conversation. So of course manager comes over, doesn't explain the why behind her "no" answer; has no idea if they'll return it; doesn't know the process as to how to go about returning it; and isn't sure of there hours and clearly had no way of finding out. Considering all of the reviews that are already on here, Zara clearly has no interest in improving the service at this location so I know this review will fall on deaf ears. But hopefully it prevents this experience from happening to someone else. read more

The employees at the Zara Mall of America location are rude and don't seem to care about customer service. Today, I was waiting in line to purchase clothing. The man at the mens' department counter saw me waiting in line for awhile (nobody was in line behind me either), but after checking out the person in front of me decided to tell me he can't check me out and to go downstairs. If this employee cared about customer service he would have checked me out and then closed the counter down. When I went downstairs to the next counter the woman couldn't remove the security tag and was trying to get another shirt brought down from where I was just at. After the employees were talking back and forth about the style of shirt, I just left. This lady was not pleasant either. Zara, you need to find better employees! read more

I've only been to the Chicago Zara which was super nice. This store is really disappointing. The selection is really slim and the displays are really bad. Which is weird because it seems like they have a lot of unused space to put clothes and displays. Like another reviewer said, it does seem like it's mostly a receptacle for returns, or an outlet, rather than an actual store. All the clothes are shoved onto racks that go around the edges of the store, or they are on the floor. It reminds me of digging through a closet. Shoes and bags are randomly tossed here and there sometimes on the floor sometimes on a shelf near the floor. Even though Zara is a cheap brand in Europe, it's fairly pricey in the U.S, so I'm not digging that a 40 dollar shirt is chillin in a pile on the floor, or 100 dollar boots are just tossed in a pile under a table. Also, the place is obviously understaffed, which is odd because it only opened a month ago. Wait times in line are long and most of the employees are really rude. Rude employees are kind of par for the course at MOA though, so I'll cut them some slack there. I was really looking forward to this store. I'm sort of bummed that it's not very nice. Still a crappy Zara is better than no Zara at all. It would be really nice for Zara to succeed here and I hope they improve in the future so that can be possible in the long-term. read more

I was so excited to finally have a Zara in Minnesota but after one visit I will only be shopping in the store when absolutely necessary. The staff looked miserable and the girl who was supposed to be attending the fitting rooms seemed annoyed when she had to tell people that they could just go right in instead of waiting to be assigned a room. I've been working in customer service for 10 years and was slightly appalled at her attitude and the overall lack of helpfulness. During checkout the employee who was helping me proceeded to talk to her co worker through the entire transaction and made me feel like I was just hindering her from continuing her chit chat. The final straw was when the friend I was with politely asked for an inventory check on a size for some shoes she wanted to purchase. The employee checked and then told her that they had two pairs in her size but that they could be anywhere in the store. No offers to help her find them or even a simple suggestion for where to look! I don't expect for employees to go above and beyond in every situation but the employees working in this store need some very basic customer service training if they want this store to stay open and thrive. read more
