I love Zapp Thai. I have never had a bad meal in here. I always order my meal mild because I am a wimp but they have many levels of spiciness to choose from. I brought friends with me on this trip that had never been in before and they really enjoyed their meals as well. The service is always great and it seems they are always fairly busy no matter when we stop in. My norm is a really ginger packed meal but this time I ventured out from that and tried their fried sampler platter. It was interesting but I believe I will be back to my normal order next time because it is just so dang good. It is clean inside with nothing real spectacular about the interior but it gets the job done. I will definitely be back as I have made many trips here over the years and now a couple of my friends know about it and I am sure they will want to make a return trip! read more

This Thai restaurant is in a strip mall in Greenfield. The restaurant is small inside with about a dozen tables. Adam, our server, was super friendly and attentive. Lunch specials come with soup, salad and spring roll, in addition to the entree. I had the Pad Kee Mao with Chicken. My meal had an offensive metallic taste which I narrowed down to the baby corn. I couldn't get past the flavor even after removing the corn, so the entree did not hit the mark for me. The soup and spring roll were good. My husband had the Chicken Pad Thai, which he enjoyed. After looking on Yelp for a place to meet a college friend this place seemed like the best option. It was a tad challenging to find as not super easy to spot from the main road (look for Starbucks and it is next door). Once inside though it was a very pleasantly opulent environment! Very tastefully decorated but felt luxurious and fancy, yet casual. There are two rooms so if you had a large group you could have a semi private space. The server gave us drinks and menus quickly and I was impressed with the range of choices. They do have a lunch special so we opted for items from there. My drunken noodle veggie dish was flavorful and filling. The portions were large and almost more than a person could eat in one sitting! Very fun to try their version and I brought veggie pad Thai home which my husband throughly enjoyed. We would for sure return and it is a delicious spot for lunch or dinner. Visited Zapp Thai on Sunday evening 9/14/25. Our dinner was really good, but the lady hostess acted like she did not want to be bothered. She stood behind the bar playing on her phone and people were coming in either to be seated or to pick up a to go order and she didn't acknowledge them until a woman walked up to the bar and ask if they could be seated. So service was lacking. May go back for a 2-go order but not sure if we will go back to eat in. Also, there were only 5 of us and our bill was split with 3 on one and 2 on another bill. One of the best Thai restaurants I've ever been to, anywhere! The Pad Thai and Pad Ew Wei ate outstanding. The Thai Fried Rice ties everything together. Add spring rolls and dumplings and you will not only be stuffed, but you will be talking about your meal for weeks to come. Not to mention you'll have at least 2 meals for latter! If you are in Greenfield, this is a really solid option for lunch or dinner. I was really pleasantly surprised by how delicious the appetizers were. We tried the Rangoon, spring rolls, and dumplings, and they were all really satisfying. For our main courses, my three friends and I were really happy. My drunken noodles were the perfect amount of chewy and spicy, and the helping of shrimp was generous. The green curry and red curry were both very flavorful as well. A word to the wise: take the spice ratings seriously here. There is a rating of zero to six. I am pretty spice tolerant, and so I felt confident ordering my drunken noodles at a level two, and it was challenging. I would definitely go with a one next time. However, if you love Thai spice, this is the spot for you. Our service was outstanding. She was attentive, the food was very fast, and she was enthusiastic and friendly. I was also pleasantly surprised by the bill. Despite ordering an appetizer and a beverage, my meal was still well under thirty dollars with the twenty percent tip. That's tough to find these days. I don't know if they changed owners, had several bad produce days or what but I used to go here regularly. The service is still top notch but the quality of the food changes. One time my mushrooms looked like they came out of a can and were so salty I sent the plate back. I never send food back so I tried again and again the food wasn't up to what was served before... Third time I asked the server and she said they had a new cook. I haven't returned because the third time triggered an allergy attack and I just can't risk it. Such a shame. read more

We use to love this place; no more, at least for delivery. No care on the Togo food; or quality of food being sent out the door. Overcooked, missing items, and simply just awful. All fried food was over cooked and soaked with excess grease. Shrimp fried rice had no shrimp. Missing sides. Orange chicken over cooked. Delivery came; food was hot; food was horrid. End of story. If we ever try it again, it will be dine in only, however very unlikely. Very disappointed. Yes we called; they did nothing. Grub hub issued credits, for only half. We ordered pizza. Attempted to write the owner on messenger, less than helpful as well. Lost out on money and a lasting bad impression. Pizza was great however. Thanks dominos. Update below: Owner agrees to refund the remaining balance. Store manager proceeds to argue upon arrival. No apology, just straight to arguing. Stopped here on my way out of McCordsville and ordered ahead. I got the spicy basil fried rice, crab Rangoon and Thai iced tea. The fried rice was amazing and I ended up eating all of it, despite the healthy portion (I couldn't stop)! My husband won a gift card to Zapps so we decided to give it a try yesterday while out running errands. I ordered the pad Thai with chicken. My husband ordered the fried rice entree with chicken. We also ordered a sampler platter of all the appetizers to taste. The meals were huge! As you can see from my photos. Definitely a lot of food for the price, which is a plus for me having to feed a 6'7 husband and kids that always want to taste what's on my plate! I shared the sampler platter with my husband as my lunch. I enjoyed everything except the fried tofu, I'm sure anyone that likes tofu would have liked the fried version, tofu just isn't my thing. There was still tons more to fill up from in the sampler, tons of fried veggies, shrimp, chicken skewers, and spring rolls. The pad Thai was really good! I wish I would have ordered it spicier than I did. The spice level of the medium was very low so if you don't like spice, medium is good for you. Only draw back I had was that I called and asked if the pad Thai could be made without peanuts. The answer was yes, but the order still came with peanuts. I should've checked the order before getting home. My kids have severe peanut allergies so I couldn't have my dinner with them last night. Zapp Thai has gone down hill over the years it's been in business. Often the to go orders are riddled with mistakes. On more than one occasion my curry was filled with stems and discarded pieces of vegetable that didn't belong. And our orders have been wrong a few times. Ordering in the restaurant has been a better experience than take out. And when take out is done correctly it is delicious!! But the mistakes have definitely lowered my stars from 5 to 3. read more

The portions are huge- one entree is enough for two meals and the food is appropriately priced. I was in town with a group of friends and we needed lunch! So I checked my trusty yelp app and found Zapp. It s a small, quaint spot in a strip mall with simple and clean decor. We arrived about 1:45 pm and they were packed. We waited in the vestibule/doorway for about five minutes before we were seated. After we were seated it took about another five minutes before we got menus, and awhile longer for them to take our order and then bring water. Out food came out quickly and right on the first try! I love, love, love Thai food! My typical measuring stick is Pad Kee Mao (drunken noodles) with chicken. Theirs is on point! Yummy prefect for me at a medium spice level! The chicken was perfectly cooked, the veggies were tender and still crisp. Lunch came with a cup of soup, and a spring roll. It was the perfect amount of food for a fair price. The light fixtures, color scheme, and decor are all more upscale, but the restaurant lacks the pretension and price of a high end venue. Service was a little slow, but nothing egregious. I never expected to find this hidden gem in Greenfield, conveniently located just off the interstate exit. I frequently drive past Greenfield on I 70 and often hop off the interstate for a quick gas stop. On this trip I needed fuel and was planning to grab a quick, late lunch and then get back on the road. I hadn't had a chance to grab lunch and it was after 3:00. However, a quick glance at my trust Yelp app brought up this restaurant, along with glowing reviews and mouthwatering photos. My plans quickly changed as I drove to Zapp instead of the fast food drive thru I was headed for. My Yelp app advises me that Zapp was closing in 19 minutes so I quickly parked and went inside. I was the only customer as they were closing at 3:30 until reopening for dinner. I quickly ordered Thai fried rice with tofu, and ten minutes later I was walking out the door with my meal. Lunch specials are available until 3:30, and my meal was hot, spicy (I had requested medium hot, and it was definitely spicy) and huge. This portion size would have easily been larger than most Thai restaurant dinner entrees. What a great change of plans this turned out to be. Celebrating my recent achievement so decided to try out Zapps in nearby Greenfield. So glad we found this place! Thank you fellow Yelpers for the great reviews that were spot-on. Started with a large Tom Kah (coconut chicken soup) that tasted delicious. Milky and wonderful. I just about licked the whole bowl clean! We also got their Thai Dumplings appetizer. This was very tasty as well.... perfectly crispy on the outside. The entrees came -- me, with a "basil salmon delight" that was beautifully presented. The salmon was covered in veggies and a light sauce. The salmon was well prepared. My SO ordered Tiger Garlic &Pepper dinner (beef). He enjoyed it quite a lot. The location isn't too difficult to find, but it's squeezed in between Qdoba and near Starbucks. It's got a cozy feel, and yet would be good for small parties, too. The clientele that night was interesting mix of generations and some obvious army vets. Some eople were dressed somewhat casually, while others were dressed up a bit for a Saturday night out on the town. Definitely coming back. I eat at this place pretty frequently, and I really like their food. I always get really service over the phone and in person. Quick. East. And kind people. But when I started to get takeout, I noticed a big issue, they cut the portions in half. When I order as a sit down customer in the restaurant, I get a substantial amount of food for my money and I feel very well taken care of for $23. I feel like it's a fair amount. I ordered take out the other night and I got about half of the portion. I usually get it with no change in price at all. When I brought it up - the guy kind of looked at me like I was crazy, but I pointed out they used to use Styrofoam containers instead of the plastic containers, and it seems like only half of the food actually fits in the new container when I ordered the full amount . Although their food is really great, and the staff is really amazing, it disappoints me that they change the portions based off if you dine in or take out To me personally when businesses do this, I feel a little taken advantage of because if I was a sit down customer, I would get a different amount of food in different type of service Money is money and it doesn't matter if I'm eating at the restaurant or not I should be receiving the same amount of food that I paid for and when I mean, it's a substantial difference I mean it is a substantial difference. To give you an idea I can only eat about half of the portion and I box up the other have to go when I sit down at this lovely place. And my leftovers from when I sat there didn't even fit in the to go box - so the fact they gave me only a small to go box when I ordered take out shows a big difference . read more
