The menu offers a great variety of dishes. The food was delicious: excellent size servings served at the perfect temperature.

We ordered take out for family dinner today. What I can say is that the food was hot and prepared quickly. I can't say that it tasted very good. The orange chicken was mushy and overly sauced and all items ordered were extremely oily. The restaurant itself could use some TLC, the outside looks to be in disrepair and the inside hasn't been updated for 20 years. Their food is really good! We enjoy eating lunch and dinner there. They are very friendly and your food arrives hot and delicious! One of our favorites in Greenfield. It is not always busy inside, so quiet, but they have a busy busy carry out busines! We enjoy eating there when we can. It can be intimate or if there are children there it becomes more lively! Children ask sooo many questions! Lately, it seems many parents "forget" they have children even though the children are saying mommy or daddy a lot! Just stop and recognize your child/children and tell them you are talking about something important but when the food gets there you will talk to them. How will they learn to be respectful if you are not demonstrating to them first? People watching tells you a lot about people that I don't think they even think of. This place was so yummy!!! My boyfriend and I went on a Wednesday in January of 2025, I was recommended to try the Empress chicken by our server and she did not disappoint the chicken was soft and sweet with the perfect amount of veggies mixed in. Also odd I know but the water was so good! I don't normally write reviews but we were the only customers for a majority of our meal and I can only hope this convinces more people to try it out when they are craving some delicious Chinese food. We are long-time patrons of Dragon Palace. Last night we ordered takeout. The hot and sour soup was the BEST we remember having from here or anywhere else. The General Taos chicken and Szechuan shrimp were also excellent! We are so happy that this place we have patronized for more than 30 years still brings the flavor!! read more

Well I have to keep reminding myself this is in a small midwestern town and we should be grateful for Chinese food at all. Service a bit slow and their buffet wasn't too fresh. We had a big group and a few of us actually ordered separately. I will say that food was very good. Had egg foo young and also a vegetarian meal. Delicious. Cleanliness definitely needs improvement (but so do most Chinese places). People were nice and prices reasonable. I moved to Indiana from Ohio. Greenwood two years, Fishers 3 years, Judy moved to Greenfield this month. This is the best damn Chinese food in the entire state! I travel to food conventions and competition throughout the state searching for something comparable to the big city, world renowned chef plates of deliciousness I'm used to growing up in the city and I'm excited to say this is one of the very few restaurants in Indiana that's got it! Well done and thank you! I got the sweet and sour shrimp. These were particular amazing because they were not 5 huge shrimp rings that are mostly batter and you can't fit in your mouth without looking like a horse. These were perfectly bite-sized cuts of jumbo shrimp battered lightly to perfection. The fried rice was not overwhelmingly loaded with carrots and peas and was lightly fried not over done. Their cashew chicken was so perfectly cooked I was even more impressed that Chinese take out can be juice flavorful chunks of plump chicken. I might be over exaggerating because I've gone so long without great Chinese but I tend to agree with my thoughts! read more

Tried to order egg roll at westerly location for 3 weeks, was told they don't have them at westerly. Called Richmond location and was asked to hold, after 22 minutes they hung up and called back to request the Owner information to contact by letter or email and Mark the manager refused my request. He wanted to offer a explanation as to why, and I respectfully asked again for Owner info, and he got excited and refused. That's why I'm here. Really good food. We tried Dragon Palace for the first time tonight. Egg Drop Soup was the best I've ever had. Sweet and sour was excellent thanks to a really great sauce. General's chicken wasn't too spicy and had a good flavor and the Empress Chicken was excellent too. Egg rolls were superb. This is definitely one of our new "go to" places in Greenfield. Although we did carry out - the restaurant is super cute and we can't wait to eat-in sometime soon. read more

Without question the best Chinese in Greenfield. I've only had the lunch buffet, so I've never ordered off the menu, but I have no reason to believe menu items would be any different than the well-prepared, fresh buffet items they serve each day. Their hot and sour soup is really quite good, especially compared to other buffets in the area. They prepare and restock items frequently, and the service is prompt and friendly. Like others say, this isn't the largest buffet in town, so if quantity of choice is what you're after, maybe this isn't the place for you. I'll try to keep this quick - the food was just not great. Fried rice was overcooked, egg rolls were also burned, teriyaki chicken skewers were dry, and everything seemed to lack flavor. This is hands down the best Chinese you can get in Greenfield. The ambiance can leave something to be desired for most people who walk in the doors for the first time, but once you've sampled the cuisine you'll be a fan in no time. This is a very popular place at lunch time. There is a lunchtime buffet every day and a dinner buffet Thursday through Saturday. The buffet may not be large like the other one in town, however at DP they focus on quality over quantity. There is regular menu service available all business hours. We've eaten at the buffet here and were pleasantly surprised, so on a rainy Sunday, we decided to order takeout and eat at home. What a disappointment! Ordering was quick and easy. However, once I arrived home and started eating that's where the good part ends. The white rice was cold and hard, the pineapple chicken was just disgusting, beef and broccoli was watery and tough. They only decently good dishes we received were the fried rice and the eggrolls. I called the restaurant to let them know and they put me on they phone with the chef. I told him about the food and he kept insisting he made everything fresh and the problem must be us. After going around in circles with him for a few minutes, he hung up on me!! I've only been here for the lunch buffet. It is a buffet style restaurant for the most part, so I'm never too thrilled about that. The amounts of food out at the buffet were small, which is good as it stays hotter and is always being replenished with fresh. The food was good, the usual Chinese offerings you would expect. I prefer this restaurant hands-down over Bamboo Garden. The ambiance is nice and relaxing. Appeared extremely clean and tidy, the servers were fast and courteous. The best thing at this restaurant are the fortune cookies. Tonight was the first time we've ordered from here and the last. We had the Mongolian Beef, Egg Rolls, Crab Rangoons, steamed dumplings, and Wonton Soup. The beef was chewy, unpleasantly chewy. The egg rolls were overcooked to the point of almost being considered burnt. The rangoons were awful, they had little to no crab or cream cheese in them and they were extremely salty. Dragon Palace is my go-to place to Chinese food. I have been in for the dinner buffet and order to-go frequently. The buffet selection is not as big as I've seen at other places, but the items are really tasty. If there is something you want that you don't see, you can ask and they will put it out on the buffet. The hot and sour soup really stands out as being especially delicious. The hot tea is also excellent. The service is exceptional. This place used to be top of the line for Chinese buffets.. However, since getting in trouble with the law and owners being arrested, the place has started to slip.. You can tell they are buying cheaper ingredients and DO NOT eat here unless they are busy because that forces them to constantly bring out fresh food.. If they are slow, I wouldn't come in and waste your money because all the food will have been sitting out for god knows how long.. Disappointing because this was one of my absolute favorite places to eat AT LEAST once a week. read more

Man what a meal and service! I have just left Dragon Palace of Greenfield, IN. Haven't been there since I was a kid. The outside still looks the same. Could use a new sign and a coat of paint. When you walk in its very welcoming. Beautiful really. It was a little after the main lunch hour so the buffet was still up and running. Although I didn't come for the buffet. I asked one of the 2 ladies at the front counter for a menu. Both were smiling and very friendly just to add... She gladly handed one to me and offered me seating. I hadn't been there in so long that I wanted a little of everything lol. I ordered wonton soup, pu pu platter, chefs seafood platter, and happy family platter (a combination of seafood, beef, chicken, veggies, and pork). Also fried rice. The pu pu platter consisted of, fried shimp, fried wontons, crab ragoons, ribs, egg rolls, and beef skewers. The middle of the platter had a little built in grill for the skewers. A fun thing for somebody to do at the table. And the smell yummmm. Every tastes and looked so perfect. Fresh and delicate. I recommend this place to anybody that wants some Great Chinese food. Leave that big city of Indianapolis and head East to the Palace that could feed a Dragon. One piece of advice, skip the buffet and grab a menu. Then go to town on it!!! A+ read more

This used to be my favorite Chinese restaurant in town however in the past few years the quality of the food and service has declined. On my last 3 trips the food on the buffet looked and tasted old. The waiting staff is teenagers who simply could care less if you need anything or if you ever come back. I had the buffet. It is small and had limited options. The wait staff was 3 high school aged young men. The kitchen staff did not rotate the food on the bar, just dumped the new food right on top of the food already sitting there. Who knows how long the food in the bottom of the pan had been there. This is a nice, family run Chinese restaurant. They also help the community out a lot. We usually go on Sunday for the buffet that is very reasonably priced. Sometimes the menu varies on it. Their crab rangoon is just right, not too sweet and wrapped in nice wontons. read more
