It's a 3.5 but rounding up since it a small locally owned place. Went on Saturday night, there was one person working the front, and one chef that I saw in the back. It took over an hour to get the food, didn't serve app first. This is not a place to go out of your way for, but if in the area and if you have time worth a try. The beef stew was good, and the best thing we tried. The beef and carrots were tender, the soup was flavorful. The banh xeo was not crispy like I prefer and the bean sprouts were raw, but the shrimp inside was good. The dumplings tasted like it came straight from freezer to microwave to plate. We were the only ones dining in and were promptly provided menus and waters. I usually get the beef pho, but opted for the rice noodle soup, which had shrimp and pork. It was awesome. Stopped in to see the wonderful owners of Sandra's Rice & Noodles and was welcomed as soon as we walked in. Ha sat us at our favorite table and took our drink order right away. My daughter was struggling to pick her food but of course the owner helped us decide by describing what the food was to her in a way she would understand. Though we haven't been to this side of town to enjoy this delicious food since August of last year, she remembered my sons order exactly and made him feel special as always. I can not tell you how wonderful the service is at this restaurant! The flavors aren't even describable it's definitely Americanized so the pho doesn't have all the tendons etc in it but it's SO DELICIOUS. My favorite right now is the catfish dinner plate it comes cooked in a clay pot and it's one of the best meals I have ever had, the price is incredible for what you get. Whenever we return to Sandra's, we wonder why we don't come more often. Today I added the restaurant in my contacts and favorited the phone number so we can start doing take out. The food was outstanding tonight. Sandra personally takes your order. Tonight we had the Shrimp Dumplings to start. My husband had the Chicken and Peanut Panang Curry which had both a bit of heat and sweetness with the pineapple. He loved it! I had the Thai Green Curry Chicken which tasted so fresh and light with enough heat to give it a nice finish. Plenty of food for me so took home 1/2 my entree to have again tomorrow. read more

The server was very pleasant and greeted us with menus and water pretty quickly. We shared the poultry rolls, Hubs got a seafood and noodles dish, I got a beef and rice noodles dish. The poultry rolls weren't terrible, it was the dipping sauce that made them good. Hubs said his seafood and noodles was amazing. I never really cared for this type of food. My son always goes so I decided to try the chicken fried rice. ( can't mess up that I'm sure) when I tell you I have been non stop for the last 3 weeks. I tell myself I'm going to eat half now and half later. I swear I just keep dipping in it until there's none left for later. Chicken phô had way more meat and noodles than other spots and the broth was perhaps the best we've had. Bun thit nuong had delicious pork skewers and the cha gio were on point. Kids food came out quickly and were ample, especially at the 3.99 price point. It's close to work and had good reviews so I was expecting some legit food. Sadly, it was just mediocre. I ordered the pork chop with rice (my usual order at any Vietnamese restaurant) to go and was told it would be 30 min, kind of long but ok. Stopped at the Dollar Tree to kill time then headed to the restaurant to pick up my order. It was dead inside, 2 guys in front of me were also picking up an order. The lady was nice and it seemed like it was just her and the cook in back. Got my order and went home to eat. It smelled good, portions a little less than other places, but it was a good price. The pork chop was dry and light on flavor, disappointing. They should have been thinner and marinated better, making it more juicy and tender. Flavors were alright, just weak. Service is notoriously slow, but so worth it! I usually get pho or sime kind of curry (both great), but today I ventured out & got the lemongrass marinated pork. Not sure what to expect, I was thrilled to find it was a beautiful pork chop, grilled and looking heavenly...so yummy.
