Selection of food is great. I like the taste of the crab rangoon. Went there for lunch buffet and it cost was $14.28 with tax. Price comes with drink and dessert. They have a deep freezer type device with window top for the ice cream tubs. I also saw sushi on the buffet. read more

I have been coming to Mings Garden since I was a child. Some say food and places that you eat at the food can bring back a memory and in my case it brings back so many memories. From grabbing lunch with my friends in high school to go in to dinner with friends and family as this business grew and expanded I have a whole file cabinet of memories including Ming's garden. Now I have a child who has been enjoying the same place I did for so many years and she now invites her friends out for lunch. Now on to the food! With four buffet tables they have anything you could possibly want. From fried rice, lo mein, Chow mei fun, chicken and broccoli, steak and broccoli, sweet and sour chicken, fried wontons, teriyaki chicken on a stick, even sushi. And if you have a child or a member of your group that just does not like Chinese but wants to attend they also have pizza, tacos and other items on there that will cater to anybody that wants to eat. As for the staff they are a generational staff the mother who is the matriarch of the family and The Business has kept the family involved which I love and they all greet you like they have been part of your family for the last 30 years. If you are local you know exactly where it's at next to Rural King on Indiana 3. If you are coming in town and are getting off of the highway 70 head into New Castle and keep going until you see CVS on the right Hardee's on the left and it's right behind Hardee's in between Bronze Bay tanning and Rural King store. Guys We found a 5 star Chinese Restaurant here! They were Fast, Friendly, and delicious. Location is very convenient and easy to find. Reasonable price and good size portions . The location was very clean and smelt so good. I ordered steamed dumplings. They were hot, very good taste and texture and they didn't fall apart. A÷ Husband got General Tso Chicken, egg drop soup. His was hot and fresh. Got a great portion of egg drop soup. Everything was correct, remembered the sauces, egg roll napkins and the Fortune cookies. We will out definitely come back here. I absolutely love Mings garden, and I've been coming here since I was a child. They are known for their Buffet, which is very extensive and has many options to choose from. It is very important to know the best times to go because there are times where the food is not as fresh as it should be like many other Chinese buffets. The staff here are very nice and are very helpful. They also do takeout which is also very popular with this restaurant. The downfall is they do not offer delivery. We only have two Chinese restaurants in this town the other restaurant offers delivery, and this one does not, but in my opinion, the food at Ming's is much better than the other restaurant. I would highly recommend this place if you like Chinese and I've never been here. read more

First time trying this place and we just grabbed some takeout at 9pm. I feel like we may have gotten the leftovers from their buffet, it just wasn't that impressive. The prices are decent, but the taste wasn't great. The General Tsos tasted like sweet and sour sauce with so spice added to it. The eggrolls were more like spring roll size, but fit the price at only $1 each. The Crab Rangoon was good! But it didn't include any doing sauce like I am used to getting with those. read more

The one and only place I compare all other Chinese restaurants to. Maybe I'm biased because I grew up on their flavors, but Ming's is the best of the best and incredibly consistent. If you've never tried their crab rangoons you truly have not lived your best bite of food yet. Not dry or lacking in cream cheese like a lot places, and even with a hint of sweetness which makes theirs so much different and better. The popcorn chicken with the sticky red sauce, JALEPENO chicken, black pepper chicken, brocolli and beef, crystal chicken, the lo mein; I could go on forever about all the delicious options they have. I have so many fond memories here with family and friends, it's truly somewhere that tastes like childhood and home. I honestly like the buffet style that they offer but the food keeps going down in quality and the price keeps going up. Today one of the coworkers that was with me got a hair inside his egg roll and well that's pretty bad so we left after that. Very disappointing for the cost. Spent ~$37 for two buffets midweek dinner hours. Food trays were full but many items were not fresh. Some warm items ranged from lukewarm to outright cold. Won ton soup was alright. Hot & sour looked like something from the sludge tank of the local oil change shop. I don't think we forced down two small plates between us. All-you-can-eat vs all your going to want to eat. Go to an a la cart place for the same money to more and better food. Place seemed moderately clean. I grew up with Ming's and have fond memories of going there with large groups of friends, staying for hours as we dined on their large, affordable buffet. Ming's has been a family staple since the mid 90's. I can't get enough Crab Ragoon or anything with broccoli! The family that owns the restaurant are always pleasant. Although they have a nice buffet, I suggest ordering from the menu. The menu food has a much better taste and flavor. read more

I love this place. Been here a few times but I don't live around here. I'm passing through town and remembered so I'm trying to see if it's still open. Haven't been in a couple of years or so. The food is good but nothing is fresh. It is all frozen or from a can. The place is dirty and the prices are very high. My wife likes dumpling sauce and they charge 50 cents for a couple of tablespoons. It's not the 50 cents, they have a bucket with a ladle in it but charge 50 cents and it just shot up 50% to 75 cents. They charge a high price for everything. Stop and look at your bill and think about it. Cafeteria quality food for that much in a dirty restaurant, really? The people are nice I just don't get why everybody acts like its the best restaurant with the best service at the best prices. I would give this negative stars if possible. How can you call this food. It's not Chinese food, it's definitely not American Food. But it's expensive. Like $12. My drink was more than a sit down restaurant. Cold, stuck together chicken. Not even sure if it was ever up to temperature. My friends love this place. It's the only reason I ever come. I've lived here in New Castle for most of my life, and this place is always in my top list of recommendations. It started as this small, sort of low budget buffet thing, but they've recently expanded and bought out the space next to them to make even more room! That mouthwatering smell hits you as soon as you walk in, and all the people that work there always seem to greet you with a smile. I think its a family run business? Absolutely wonderful:) I come here at least once a week. I work right across the street and come to get dinner sometimes. The owners know me well, I've been going there for years. They automatically know what I want as soon as I walk in the door and suggestively sell me my usuals when I don't order them. The food is delicious. After reading the other review's, I seriously question LA from Portland, Oregon. I have always enjoyed Mings, it is a family restaurant. The owner's and staff have always been very friendly. I've been going to Mings since I was little I've always loved it there and the foods always amazing!! They normally refill when ones out and the food is always hit and fresh when I go , they do I pretty good job keeping the tables clean and the workers are so friendly. The only thing I've ever had wrong was I had to wait about 10 minuets for one of the dishes but that's normal for a buffet!! Like I said I love this place and would recommend this to anybody for a good meal I give it five stars one for taste the second for how clean it was three for kindness and four for the fast refills 5 it's normally nice quit and the temp is always just right ! Good food at reasonable prices. The egg drop soup is always very good especially with the crunchy noodles they include. The lunch buffet is a good value for the amount of food options although I'd recommend passing on the sushi. This place does a great job with large take out orders. They label and package everything wonderfully so it's easy to carry and sort out. It's definitely worth trying if you're in the mood for (American) Chinese food! read more

First off it's a buffet and well buffets are not known for being awesome. Well they keep the food filled and its about average for asian. Their extremely nice and it is family owned. That makes up for anything else. There was another place in town but they were very rude and I was glad when their buffet got shut down. As far as Chinese buffets goes this is a good place.
