I personally have no complaints, my wife was not thrilled about canned pop, but I prefer water with dinner. The food was the best restaurant food I have had in a restaurant in several years, and the staff was lovely. We had the Mapo tofu, kung pao tofu, fried pork ribs, cream cheese rangoon, beef soup noodle, pork and preserved cabbage dumplings, pork and leek dumplings, and vegetable dumplings. For roughly $18 per person we had more food than 4 adults and 1 twelve year old could eat. It is a little hole in the wall restaurant and the interior is what you would expect. This review is hot pot. Hot pot can be served but a reservation is required as hot pot dinning is an experience to be enjoyed over time. I think there is a minimum of four dinners for hot pot. The cost is a flat rate for all you can eat. The team here was excellent as hot pot is a process. The main server was very good at explaining how hot pot works. He was very friendly and welcoming. The support team was good at clearing the dishes in a timely basis and getting you more items. The hot pot unit is a burner placed in the middle of te table. The pot is split into two sides. One side was a mild chicken broth. The other side, which we selected, was a spicier broth. The spicy broth does have a bit of kick that will hit you after time. The broth comes with dumplings. The dumpings with shrimp and fish inside were tasty. The meal came with thin slices of lamb and beef. These cook in about 30 seconds and are a nice add to the meal. You can cook other items like noodles,mushrooms and other vegetables. These have less taste and appeal but they are part of the experience. The meal comes with two house made sauces. Both are very tasty. One is a lot more spicy than the other. I would encourage you to give hot pot dinning experience a try. It's not your usual Chinese food option. read more

They do an excellent Mapo Tofu! My honey loves their chili chicken wings (loaded with chilis). We have ordered a couple of appetizers here and there, but we are so in love with those two dishes, we've not really tried anything else. We were on a road trip, really tired of fast food, wanted something different for dinner. We yelped to see what's available along the way, found Dumpling House still open on a Sunday night and reviews were high, decided to give it a try. We phoned and placed our orders, they were quite fast, when we arrived 20 minutes later, the food were ready. We ordered 1. beef noodle soup, 2. hot sour soup, 3. seafood vegetable, 4. spinach, 5. beef soy sauce, and 6. orange chicken. Based on the high reviews, I was expecting better food. As an Asian, I know exactly how the food should taste like. I was disappointed about the food to be honest. Beef noodle soup didn't have beef flavor at all, the soup was pretty plain, like drinking water but with soy sauce color. The good thing is the beef were tender enough. Hot sour soup was not the traditional type, the soup was just sour, no flavor. Not much stuff in the soup like it supposed to have. This is the worst hot sour soup I've ever had. Seafood vegetable, the vegetables in this dish were bean sprouts and amaranth. I thought there's only shrimps, surprisingly found out there's also squids! But the squids were so hard, can't even chew! Spinach probably is one of the two dishes that is good. Beef soy sauce is the other good dish. It's not too much soy sauce flavor, in a good way. But the dressing for the beef is too salty. I ate it without dipping sauce, tasted real good! Orange chicken was ok, just like Panda's orange chicken. I wish they can pack the food in a better way for to go, as the soup and the juice from vegetables were spilled all over the bag, quite nasty. read more

This is all about the experience. We went with friends we don't see often. It was a SLOW paced meal that does require reservations and at least 2 hours. And you best come very very hungry. That being said, we can't wait to find an excuse to go back and do it again. You need at least 2 people to make this work. When we arrived we were told the price ($25/pp) that it includes a beverage and all you can eat meats and sides. There was no choice in sides and meats. Once we decided on our broth choice [they happily met our request for half and half, spicey and mild] they started to bring everything out to our table set for 8, even though it was just 3 of us. We needed every inch of that table. They brought out the beef and lamb. Then all the sides to boil (mushrooms, potatoes, cabbage, dumplings, sausages, shrimp, assorted veggies and more) and then sides of rice and noodles. The dipping sauces are out of this world--try them all. As soon as something was empty 1 of our 2 servers replenished it. As we slowed down they told us to boil everything on the table and they would being containers (we needed 6 containers). It was so much fun, I would compare it to an Asian version of fondue. The staff was extremely helpful in the process. They brought out cards telling us how long to boil each item, they helped red-light our pot when it boiled over a bit.
