Honey chicken, Rangoon, Vegetable Roll, vegetable dumpling, Chicken Fried Rice, Egg-Drop Soup, Hot and Sour Soup

The employees were very kind. There were boxes sitting around with little to no decor. I felt like I was in a garage. The food looked and tasted fake. Our chicken was so hard and dry my elderly mother couldn't chew it. The wontons had a gelatinous filling that tasted fishy in a bad way. Everything seemed to have a huge amount of yellow coloring added. Nothing tasted fresh or high quality but instead very processed.

Once upon a time ,they were good. I asked for fried dumplings, but I got Burnt dumplings. I miss the old location. When one side of the dumpling is burned, and the other side is lukewarm ...you should really consider things. You used to be a fantastic place, but since you moved a few years ago..it's gone down hill. I used to be a frequent patron, and I still give it a shot every now and then, but I don't think I will anymore.

    Hot pot dinner

This review is hot pot. Hot pot can be served but a reservation is required as hot pot dinning is an experience to be enjoyed over time. I think there is a minimum of four dinners for hot pot. The cost is a flat rate for all you can eat. The team here was excellent as hot pot is a process. The main server was very good at explaining how hot pot works. He was very friendly and welcoming. The support team was good at clearing the dishes in a timely basis and getting you more items. The hot pot unit is a burner placed in the middle of te table. The pot is split into two sides. One side was a mild chicken broth. The other side, which we selected, was a spicier broth. The spicy broth does have a bit of kick that will hit you after time. The broth comes with dumplings. The dumpings with shrimp and fish inside were tasty. The meal came with thin slices of lamb and beef. These cook in about 30 seconds and are a nice add to the meal. You can cook other items like noodles, mushrooms and other vegetables. These have less taste and appeal but they are part of the experience. The meal comes with two house made sauces. Both are very tasty. One is a lot more spicy than the other. I would encourage you to give hot pot dinning experience a try. It's not your usual Chinese food option.

The staff at dumpling house had the best customer service and they were so accommodating with our last minute reservation of 8 people. My family and I went to dumpling house after my commencement ceremony from ball state. We originally planned to go to a hibachi place but..... that didn't work...(there is a terrible hibachi place just 5 min. Away, I would not recommend) Frantically looking for other places, we were blessed to stumble on this amazing place. Seriously a blessing in disguise. The restaurant was big enough for my whole family. Loved the staff and the service. Worth the drive! Thank you so much for making my graduation brunch a memorable experience!

I'm usually happy with Asian food from anywhere but I've had Dumpling House twice and was disappointed both times... Their service was great and food was ready on time upon pickup. Prices are good too. The dumplings were pretty good but I wasn't a fan of the chicken or fried rice. My Fiance thought everything was good though. I'd prefer Panda Express over this place.

Slightly disappointed bc we came for hot pot but didn't realize you had to have reservations for hotpot. We just got general tsaos chicken. It was good but not to be mean nothing delicious. Now the egg rolls were the bomb diggity. We will for sure come back for hot pot and make reservations. The servers were super nice and polite. The restaurant is clean.

This place is great for groups. We were seated in a booth and we were greeted by our server right away. He did a great job of explaining the different options of what to order. The food was excellent! The hot bar & vegetable/salad bar were excellent! They had of bunch of different "appetizer" type options on the hot bar. However there was so much food with the KBbq that we were actually disappointed that we wasted stomach space on the hot bar (eventhough the food was good!). The hot pot was great & the broth had such great flavor. The KBbq was amazing! We really loved all the different cuts of meat for the grill! The short ribs were a fav & there's more than enough food for the table so everyone leaves more than full! It's also great that eventhough this place is busy & set up well for groups, it's not overly loud so you can still carry on a normal volume level conversation with others at your table! The menu is straightforward and easy to choose your option. The whole table has to choose the same option (BBQ or hot pot) so discussion might be helpful before the waiter arrives. Then you choose your meat and broth type and head to the never ending salad and veggie area. It has veggies, noodles, sauces, toppings and more! The waiter tells you em several times it is all you can eat, thus the higher price point. Make sure to note too though that if you order a lot more than you eat you will get charged a few for leftovers. They want to curb food waste which is commendable. I suggest starting small and then building as for sure you get full rather quickly! My favorite aspect was the sauce area where they listed sauce combos the recommend. It helped me a lot to have some guidance and I liked the sauce I chose from their list. A fun interactive experience and good for groups. It is loud and smelly as you are basically sitting inside a large kitchen. But a fun experience and yummy food so worth a visit!

My favorite things in the new Uniq are easily the chinmi (fishcake) tempura and the mixed drink (I got Green Apple, which came in a nice blue liquid like the chemical cocktail it is) which is... honestly kinda sad, but they got actual KBBQ now and are a lot more professional about the whole thing. Seriously though, for an AYCE appetizer, the chinmi tempura was quite excellent, though the shrimp tempura on the other hand was sad and soggy and raw and all-around depressing. Dae Gee still has much better appetizer options, that's for sure (nothing can beat a good Midwestern cheese corn yummmm). I still don't get what's supposed to be so uniq about this place though? Perhaps it's the tiny amount of broth and banchan they give you? Both have unlimited refills if you just ask, but something about it still strikes me as being particularly stingy. None of the meats are particularly special either even though they have more choices now. Most of the cuts are fatty (the galbi in particular is what we'd call a "trash cut" due to how fatty it is) and the different flavor profiles that they have like bulgogi, spicy honey or umakara ("sweet-and-spicy") just kind of blend together. The beef tongue also struck me as being way tougher than it had any business being, perhaps it was cut a little too thick. Much of the seafood is still obviously from Rang Dong. Though they got rid of the syrupy "bingsu" and just offer buffet ice cream now, which is actually a nice change of pace. It's about Paradise Buffet level in terms of cream quality, which I guess isn't so bad. Perhaps the one GOOD and uniq thing I can talk about is that they were playing RELATIVELY obscure K-Pop songs like Nekkoya when we visited, rather than the ultra-popular stuff that you hear everywhere in Chinatowns, with some Persona 5 OST and Ado thrown in. I respect. Should've turned the volume up further, though. If you're gonna weeb out, do it correctly. TL;DR I still like Dae Gee better tbh, but they have some competition now.

Visited 2 years ago…read more.. Goodness is what's cooking at cafe Korea unfortunately the services doesn't deliver. Arrived at the establishment at 6:39pm on a Sunday. Wanted to scout some cool places to take the parents. Greeted by a lovely woman and seated immediately. Let's call the waiter Joe the Sloth, greater us with the same enthusiasm as the hostess after about a 10 min wait in a half capacity restaurant. Ordered coke and a water which came out 7 mins later. There was enough time to scour the extensive menu and formulate some great questions. Joe the Knowledgeable even helped pick out a nice bottle of Black Cherry Wine. And this is where Joe became the absentee. Food came out a whopping 47 mins later for one entree and about an additional 21 extra mins for the other dish. There was a larger table behind us that I guess waited longer and were supplied with so many of the 6 available sides they were "Sided-Out". Joe the unapologetic refused to refill the side dishes that we requested. Joe the "I have better things to do", never checked on us except to ask if we wanted a box. Joe the "I will not acknowledge that I never refilled the sides". Joe the "It's the Kitchens fault that your food came out weird". Joe the "let's walk off in the middle of your sentence." (I kid you not). Joe the "I want you to know how much I hate my job because I refuse to do my job." Couldn't even remember how good the food was because the service was so bad. This goes out to Joe who soured my experience and made my Sunday feel like thee worst Pre-Monday.

The staff, however, were attentive and worked quickly to seat everyone. We were initially told the wait would be 45 minutes and were about to leave, but as we turned to go, they let us know it had dropped to 20-30 minutes, so we decided to stay. Right before being seated, we learned that everyone at the table needs to choose either the Kpot or BBQ option. We weren't familiar with how it worked, so we went with BBQ.
