Delicious food! Huge portions! Friendly staff! Their coconut chicken is out of this world

This is the best Chinese place in Anderson. I only gave it 4 stars because I would like more variety.

Limited options tonight. Several chicken dishes, one beef (with broccoli), and one shrimp dish. The side dish was fried rice or mixed vegetables, which looked heavy on the broccoli. Since I like most veggies that was going to be my side dish (broccoli is one I don't like much), so beef and broccoli wasn't a good choice. The chicken options were bourbon chicken (tough to chew, didn't finish it), General Tso (pretty mild) and sesame chicken. They all tasted much the same. The veggies turned out to be broccoli on top with a variety of smaller veggies underneath-- a pleasant surprise! The veggies were my favorite part of the order. We have tried Kung Fu Cafe before and been much happier, so we will probably visit again in a couple of months. Everything was clean. The young ladies working were very helpful and friendly. Amount of food was very generous. $25 for two dinners with two egg rolls. It would have more than enough left over to have dinner again tomorrow night if we were keeping the bourbon chicken. This is definitely our new favorite Chinese food spot! Stopped in and was surprised by how clean it was inside! Ordered the generals chicken and black pepper chicken combos. Both were freshly made and delicious! Hot with a crispy exterior without overcooking the meat. The fried rice was also simple and exactly what I expect from good Chinese food restaurants. We also ordered the crab Rangoon and the sugar biscuits for dessert. The crab Rangoon is the best I've had locally. We will go back again and again. read more

Miles ahead of every Chinese place in Anderson and Muncie. Clean enough to eat inside, food prepared nicely, quick service

New owners, food not as good, sadly. Used to really like their dishes. Chicken is pretty tough in the General Chicken dish

It been awhile. THe dishes are okay if you can figure out their Menu. Be aware that the "add in's " like spring rolls and egg roles really up the price and you get hit with a higher bill than expected. Again, the food is okay, just pay attention to the entrees vs additions. read more

Honestly not very impressed. I don't like to go to a restaurant that makes me feel like I have to hurry and get out. Never offered a menu, the chicken was tough if it was chicken? Decor was ok I guess I just expect more from a restaurant. Like kindness and a welcoming environment and this is not that. If you want to be rushed to order and through a meal, get mediocre food then this will be the place for you. I don't know what the issue in Anderson is with Chinese food but they are missing the mark at a lot of their Chinese restaurants and this one is now added to the list. I may have thought about another try but given the environment is not welcoming I'll take a hard pass. read more

Kung Fu Cafe is the place to go if you are craving Chinese food. General Tso's and Black Pepper Chicken is really good. You get a lot of food for the money. read more

My wife and I had a hankering for Chinese food today and, since I only recently learned of this relatively new restaurant, we decided to give a try. Spotless cleanliness is the first thing we noticed before we were promptly greeted. The food is all appetizingly presented in a buffet-type line where we were served our entree and side dish choices by Bing. Couldn't have asked for a friendlier or more accommodating chef/server than Bing. The peanut chicken and coconut chicken is phenomenal and my wife raved about her General Tsao chicken. We were also amazed at how inexpensive the menu options are and, after eating our fill, we were given compartmentalized styrofoam 'to go' boxes so none of our super lunch would be wasted. Great restaurant! It does have a Panda Express feel to it, but also different. By far the prices are what blows me away. You get FOOD, VALUE, for your money. This place is near several fast food joints that you'll spend $10 at to get full. Definitely the best option for your money and the food is great :). Service also good to! Try it out! read more

Kung Fu Cafe - $6.75! Where else can you eat like this for that price?? - Chinese Near Me - Anderson, Indiana

It's kind of a mash-up of Panda Express and MCL Cafeteria--you get two or three entrées and a side for a set price, with the option of adding things on à la carte. The food is very much cookie-cutter, heavily Americanized Chinese--the sauce is on the thick and gloppy side, and there's nothing subtle about any of the flavors (except maybe the ginger in the spring roll). I'm not saying it's bad--it's equal to the food at the better buffets in the area, I enjoyed it, and will probably come back again to try different items--but I'm not going to give up China House or Food King or Oriental Inn for it. We split a three-entrée plate and an order of spring rolls, with a coffee each, for about thirteen dollars, which would be cheaper than the local buffets, but if you're having a plate by yourself, I think the buffet would be the better deal and offer a wider variety. They also have a limited menu of standard made-to-order items, if what's on the cafeteria line doesn't strike your fancy. In summary, it's nothing out of the ordinary, the format is just a little different from most Chinese restaurants. read more

I would really like to eat crabmeat Rangoon that tastes like crabmeat rather than a block of cream cheese deep fried - rice was ok - entree was ok - nothing great other than service on carry out was excellent - the question will we return? Friendly staff... giving a three star rating vs a 1 because the hot and sour soup along with the crab rangoon were very good... reason I would give a one star is the entrees.. general tso's was labeled as spicy and it is really sweet with no spice... the pork stir fry marked as spicy had zero spice and way too much fish sauce taste. Too bad you can only give Kung Fu a 5 star rating. I was reading some of the other reviews and don't listen to the bad ones. Go in and decided for yourself. I go there often and it is the best Chinese Restaurant I have ever eaten at. In fact, I just discovered this web site a few minutes ago while searching for a Dr. that is on Broadway. I am getting ready to go there now. I can hardly wait. Don't listen to other people, go in and make up your own mind. Cheaper than the buffets in the area and cleaner. The food has been good every time we've been and never cold or over cooked. We use the coupons in great deals and it's affordable for a family of four. read more

Lo Mein was overcooked. Crab Rangoon was stale. Tasted like it'd been sitting precooked in the freezer for a couple weeks and warmed up, some. Food was cold. Everything was way too sweet. I swear the teriyaki sauce was pure maple syrup. read more
