We moved to this state last year and have been to this establishment 3 times since. The first time was ok. The second time the food was meh. Lack of flavoring and now the food is terrible it also had a strange bad after taste. We wanted to give them one more chance since we know people have off days. We ordered some shrimp egg rolls that had maybe 2 small shrimp inside. We also ordered Kung Pao. We put the "chicken" on a plate to see how much chicken was in the breading but there was not much chicken, it was mostly mushy breading. I have pictures that I will post along with this for proof. Seems like they are going cheap route to save money by having mostly breading instead of actual meat in the dish. Shrinkflation maybe? i don't know if it's the food we ordered but the wonton egg drop soup had no trace of wonton and a weird texture. the shrimp curry lacked salt and had a funky taste to it. i've had worse. but i've definitely had better. the room itself is fine -- it's as expected. not a one star cause the staff were nice and the food didn't take too long. read more

We were shocked at how good the food actually was here, given the state of the lobby. Also the lady serving us at the front was a little bit odd... But whatever. We had the chicken curry and it came with a crab Rangoon and eggrolls. Also ordered some spring rolls. The crab Rangoon was actually quite good and not soggy as mentioned in several other comments. Maybe we got lucky? The eggrolls and spring rolls would have been absolutely fantastic except the oil they were cooked in was definitely a little old. I gave it four stars though because the chicken curry was absolutely fantastic. Had a nice little kick to it and was extremely tasty. I couldn't get enough! My go-to dish is usually General Tso chicken combo plate but last night I got the orange chicken and it was delicious. Only complaint about this place is it can get expensive when substituting rice for lo mein, I think there should be an options to get your platter with rice or noodles. This place is great in that they were early to cater to the large chinese student body at BSU. Although not on the printed menu, there's a marker board of 10 or so "authentic" options. I've probably tried 5-6 and they're all pretty good. Other times, I've seen employees with their special meals and the staff has been happy to accommodate. Dumpling House is gonna give them a run for their money in terms of real ethnically Chinese food, but First Wok is nothing to sneeze at. read more

This is standard pickup Chinese food. Nice people, good food, not a great place to look at or sit in. Looks pretty rough.

Solidly mediocre Chinese takeout. The lo mein wasn't bad, but a bit more onions than needed. Beef was good, noodles we good... I'd order this again. Once you get to the chicken in the kung pao, it's not half bad. "Medium spicy" wasn't spicy at all. No heat, actually. Way too many vegetables for a kung pao. It's your standard mix of veggies: celery, baby corn, onions, water chestnuts, carrots, mushrooms... probably would have had bell peppers had I not requested them removed. Feel like I'm wasting have the container. I would not order this again unless I could specify just chicken, celery, peanuts, and sauce. My lo mein was part of a combo, so it came with "fried" rice, crab rangoon, and an egg roll. Nothing will top Far East Kitchen's egg rolls (but alas, it's only in Chicago). The crab rangoon was mostly cream cheese. And the rice wasn't fried. It was a yellow rice with corn and peas with some small pork pieces. Yellow rice is not fried rice. You fry rice with an egg. Honestly, it's cheap and it delivers. But if you want really good Chinese food, Dumpling House, hands down, is the best in the area. Authentic. Amazing. If they delivered I'd sign over my bank account so I can have it daily. But for now, when I'm unable to go out and pick food up, this is the cheapest option. Thankfully it's not terrible. I got some today because I was hungry (duh) but it's cold and didn't want to go out anywhere. I got my usual, delivery was within the time expected, and I opened it and took a bite- Only to meet the taste of noodles cooked in dishwater. It was seriously bland and even the chicken wasn't tasty. I had gotten another dish since it's a $10 minimum to order online, and that had no taste either. I'm not at all picky, and I get this order at almost every Chinese place I go, and I normally love it. This wasn't good. At all. I love their shrimp egg foo young combo. It comes with 2 large shrimp and veggie omelette cakes, a large container of special sauce and an egg roll and cream cheese wonton. It is so delicious. It is enough for 2 meals or more depending on your appetite. I typically pick this meal up once per week to go. I would give them 5 stars if they improved their dining area. There was no explanation on the menu of their preparation. Tasted ok, 3 stars 2) steamed dumplings. Wrapper was too thick and doughy, they should roll them much thinner, but had adequate meat inside. Garlic/ginger dipping sauce was tasty and spicy. Rolls 2 stars, sauce 4. 3) lo mein house special. It was more oily than most lo meins. noodles were over cooked and slimy, not firm. Pork, beef, chicken, and shrimp inside, most was overlooked. It was VERY HEAVY when i picked it up. 1 star. 4) chicken with peppers. Small pieces of breaded fried chicken, tossed with sautéed peppers and onions. Not what I expected. Again, oily. 2 stars *quality of meat and ingredients was not acceptable. I would rate it below average for MUNCIE, IN. So when compared to a city with decent food, this place sucked. Will not eat here again read more
