I was back in town on a Saturday evening and my dad and son decided we were getting take out at Panda Express. I was saddened to learn there ice tea was no more. Alas I had to have diet coke with my meal. I saw the new wok fired shrimp which sounded good. Shrimp were good and not overdone. I am not sure how much the sugar snap peas are suppose to be cooked but mine were still almost uncooked. I would have preferred they were cooked longer. The sauce was good and I added some hot sauce to spice it up. Fried rice was just ok. To me seemed a tad undercooked or overcooked when the fried the steamed rice. They were all out of veggies and I didn't want to wait for more to be cooked. The teriyaki chicken was plentiful and with more sauce and an extra dash of hot sauce it had the right taste for me. I will add that the serving size was very plentiful here and more than other locations. Staff were great too. All items were well packaged for our to go order. One of the worst panda experiences I've had in a very long time. Brooke is the cause of concern here and should no longer be employed by Panda Express. I came in for dinner about 8:30 me and my friend went to order bigger plates. Jackie took our order and right before she started to fill them Brooke interjected that Jackie couldn't use the orange chicken she needed it all, that she had sold family meals for 2 different cars in the drive through and needed all of the orange chicken. I said well that's a problem that's what we were ordering, so don't put the sides in we will wait. (I didn't want my food getting cold and I wasn't in any major hurry) Jackie rang us up while we waited and after we were done ordering offered us small drinks while we waited. We accepted and sat down at a table near the ordering bar with our drinks. During which time we observed the manager cleaning behind the cooking stations of which he continued through the remainder of the events. After approximately 5 minutes had passed the cook came out from behind the cooks/line divider and noticed the orange chicken was out and said oh we need orange chicken? At which point I interjected saying they didn't tell you, that you were out? We have been waiting for 5 minutes for orange chicken. He said I'm so sorry I'll get right on that they didn't tell me we were out. He was very calm and polite and apologetic. However Brooke chimed in with a it doesn't matter it's only orange chicken it only takes like 8 minutes. I said the 8 minutes isn't the problem if you told her she can't use it you should have told them to make more so we wouldn't be waiting the entire time for them to now start making more. She got very sassy and very angry to me shouting across what was a mostly empty lobby. The manager throughout this event was in the cooks area very visibly unfazed by the situation didn't seem to care or be surprised by it. He never once said anything to either of us. I finally had my food and was leaving at which she continued to run her mouth at me up until I was out the doors. To the point where it wasn't sitting right with me. I decided I needed to speak to a manager turned my truck back off got back out of the truck and went into the store and requested a manager from the cook at which point I found out the guy in all black who had been there the entire length of time was the manager. (If you can call him that having not managed a thing throughout the situation) I informed him she had been exceedingly rude to me and that it was unacceptable and he needed to deal with that and I would be leaving a bad review and calling corporate. At which point Brooke interjected herself into the conversation by shouting corporate is on google it's public knowledge. I said what's your name? She said it's Brooke what's yours, I started to walk away realizing he was going to be of no help as he still hadn't said anything. As I left she continued to demand my name. Well now you have it. Not sure what it is lately but the passed 3 or 4 times we've ordered take out we have been extremely disappointed. Tonight's our last time ordering at this location. Every single time they've forgotten to put our order of crab Rangoon in the bag causing me to either go back & get it or get all the way home before noticing it's not there. Also, extremely disappointing in the quality of the chow mein. It's all vegetables & lacks any noodles at all. (Attached picture) I didn't order cabbage & celery but that's all I get. Even the extra side, all vegetables hardly any noodles at all. We always order the double orange chicken & chow mein plate even for the kids meals and there's just no noodles. We ordered to go from Panda Express on July 7, 2022 at about 6:30 pm. When we arrived all our food was ready except one entree. We waited almost 30 minutes for them to finish cooking the last item, meanwhile the rest of our food was not kept warm. While waiting for our order I observed employees not washing their hands before putting on new gloves, as well as touching things with their gloves and keeping those gloves on to deal with food. One employee picked up something off the ground and never changed her gloves. Then she preceded to touch our containers of food that were sitting on the counter. I ended up cancelling my order because all our food was cold except the one item. One employee tucked his shirt in with gloves on then touched the utensils for the food on the line. No employees properly changed their gloves. One employee made a phone call and kept her gloves on to hold the phone. It's just a matter of time before some people get really sick with points of contact contaminating everything. We will never eat there again. read more

My wife and I just went to this Panda Express expecting the typically great service. It was not too busy (we went well after the lunch rush at 3pm). We actually walked out because we stood at the counter (with no one in front of us) for 8 minutes. There were probably 8 workers behind the counter--including a manager. Literally none of them acknowledged our existence. Not one word was said to us. Absolutely disastrous crew. I went through the drive thru on my 30min lunch and ordered a plate with Double Kung Pao Chicken and Half Fried Rice/Chow Mein - I was in a rush to get back to work so when I got my food, I didn't check it until I sat back down at my desk. I ordered CHOW MEIN not a heap of ONION!! I guess they were running out and didn't have a new batch or something because I had to dig through a bunch of onion to find what little noodles they did serve me. When Panda Express opened in Muncie the food and service was very good. However, over time that all changed. I had not been there for three years because of the consistent drop in quality and usually out of at least one of the items I ordered. Today I was driving by and decided to give them another try. I figured after three years the quality might be good since they were still open after the pandemic. Man, was I wrong. I used the drive thru and ordered a 2 entree plate of orange chicken, honey walnut shrimp that costs extra, and steamed white rice. I go to the window and was informed that they were out of steamed white rice and would I be ok with fried rice. I said sure, no problem. Long story short...the fried rice was dry and undercooked with clumps of white rice throughout that were even drier and inedible. The honey walnut shrimp was tough as an old pork chop, very hard to chew and whatever grease or substance it was cooked in tasted old and had an unpleasant flavor of something resembling an egg roll that had been under a heat lamp for an hour. The orange chicken was the star of the plate simply because it wasn't as bad as the rest of the plate and was tender. I will never darken the doorway of a Panda Express ever again. read more

The portion sizes are good & prices are comparable to other casual fresh dining in their category like Qdoba or Moe's.
