If you're hungry, this is the place to go. One of the best takeout Asian restaurants around. We called when we were already close to the restaurant and they prepared our order so fast, we only had to wait a few minutes. I got Bourbon Chicken and my friend got Chicken Lo Mein. Both helpings were SO big that we ate it again the next day for leftovers. You definitely get your moneys worth here. Bourbon chicken was perfectly sauced and comes with steamed vegetables underneath. The fried rice that was served with it was definitely authentic. There isn't much room to sit down inside and enjoy, but you could definitely find a space if you tried. Very nice staff, and very good food! read more

I personally do not like happy dragon, but on Christmas Day it was the only place open. The sweet and sour chicken has always been our fav and their sauce is a BONUS. THE best sweet and sour sauce. The crab Rangoon normally would be perfect for me, not too creamy and not to... UN creamy lol Surprisingly I could go with more creamy. It was late last night bc I stayed up so I only had the chicken and a Rangoon. I can't speak about the low mein or fried rice. Working remotely, sometimes you get tired of the same leftovers and want something different. That was me today, so I decided to Doordash from a place I had never tried before. Overall, the food was really good... it's just the little details the causes me to give only a 4 star rating. The Good: My food was sooo tasty! I had the General Tso's Tofu and it was really good! The tofu was crispy yet soft. The sauce was excellent and the veggie spring rolls were perfect. The Meh: I wish there would have been a little more broccoli. The broccoli to tofu ratio was definitely not equal, lol. The good taste made up for it. Also (I don't know if this is at the "fault" of the dasher or the restaurant) there weren't any napkins, plastic wear or chop sticks in my bag. Since I was at home, that was no big deal, I have all those things, but if I would've been at the office, I might've had to get barbaric with my eating... which isn't a good look ‍. The Ugh: I also ordered a can of Diet Coke with my meal. I hadn't had one in about a week, so I was excited to taste the crispness of it... I took my first sip and whomp whomp... it was FLAT... I took another sip and still the same... looked at the bottom of the can and it expired in June of 2020 . Talk about disappointment! All in all though, the food was really good and mostly made up for the other things (although I am a little bitter about the Diet Coke though, lol). If you want a lot of QUANTITY this is the place to go, but if you want QUALITY tasteful food then opt out for more authentic cuisine from someplace else. We ordered over 7 dishes (note: we only received six) and only two of them tasted like what was expected. To be fair, we were given an extra order of fried donuts, which were quite tasty, but it still didn't really compensate for the quality of food. Moreover, when I walked in to pick up the order, the cashier was on FaceTime and continued to be on FaceTime throughout the duration of the transaction. Very good, where do I start! To start off the general tso chicken was very fresh and hot out of the kitchen! The sauce was tangy and sweet, chicken was tender and high quality meat. Moving on to the sweet and spicy chicken. About the same story as the general tso chicken, sauce was good, overall very tasty. Miso soup was very tasty and hot. Chicken fried rice was very good as usual; was the classic spiel. Chicken, fried rice, peas, carrots, etc. Next up, the service was decent, not too friendly or welcoming but the food made up for it considering it was a hole in the wall restaurant. We stood at the counter waiting to serviced. Not only did the lady act like we weren't standing there she bagged someone else's food. Then she answered the telephone TWICE as if there weren't 4 customers standing inside waiting to order food. This is my favorite Chinese food place ever. I have been ordering food here for around 15 years and never been disappointed. It is a family owned restaurant and the kids who used to be small are now older teenagers working the register. The quality of the food is great. Everyone I've ever brought here has been a big fan. Seems like this restaurant has been here forever, and yet it wasn't until a co-worker recommended this place to me that I've finally checked it out. And in fact, our conversation that day was centering around good local places that offer up vegetarian dishes, which was exactly why I hadn't tried Happy Dragon before, because I didn't see any vegetarian option on their paper menus that sometimes ended up attached to our mailboxes in the neighborhood. She told me that she discovered that they will substitute tofu for any other protein in nearly every menu item they offer. And even better, they won't upcharge you to do so! Needless to say, she had my full attention as we continued our conversation. The next time the rest of the family decided they really wanted Chinese takeout for dinner, I said I was willing to try Happy Dragon, and they couldn't believe it. We all grabbed our devices of choice and pulled up their menu on Yelp. I made a bold choice and ordered the General Tso Tofu. I'm pushing 50 years old and I've never ordered General Tso's anything, because it's always meat-based. I was so excited to try it! All of the takeout containers were really good sized. You definitely got a lot for your money. For a person like me, that means that I've got a meal today and definitely a lunch tomorrow too! The General Tso's Tofu was piping hot when I opened it up. In fact, everyone's meals were piping hot. And I don't know how much you know about tofu, but it retains its specific heat quite well. My container of white rice was hot too. The General Tso sauce was sweet and tangy, and had just enough of a kick in it, that it made my nose runny after a few bites. My whole plate had an electric orange glow to it as I was eating. This menu item doesn't comes with any sides, which is just fine, because I was stuffed after eating only half of the portion. COVID-19 UPDATE: After having a positive first experience here, we decided to order again to support local business during this pandemic. However, when we went over there, the signed says they are closed. Wow! This place was awesome. Food was hot, fresh and absolutely delicious! I ordered a lunch special (during lunch hours) it was around 5.50 and included fried rice and soup. The portion was huge for me 2 people could easily eat from it. They even included fried wontons to add to the soup. Food was ready right on time as I called it in. There appeared to be a small dining area so I guess you can eat there or takeout. I paid under 12 for crab meat rangoon, egg roll, and the entree. There is plenty of parking. Ordered this for lunch one day. Very fresh ingredients and great seasoning. I had the sesame chicken it was really good not overcooked, not overly sweet. The only minus I would say was there was a bit more pepper flake than I'm used to but it was still very good. Fried rice was great not overcooked had great flavor. Crab Rangoon was about the standard you would find anymore very sweet cream cheese with little to no crab. And when he have friends over and we settle on Chinese, this is the place we go. They have AWSOME crab Rangoon and the ribs are amazing too. There is always plenty of meat in the dishes they serve. The food here used to be really tasty. I guess I can say it's inconsistent. Fried rice was ok and kinda soft. Crab Rangoon and egg roll were tasty. The cashier isn't the nicest but I guess when it's the closet Chinese food in the area, I deal with it. Just ok. I almost don't want to go back though. Don't feel comfortable letting them know the scallops with chili sauce wasn't good. It's like they never made it before. I expected sautéed scallops with vegetables like pea pods and other veggies. Not a spicy sweet and sour mix with frozen peas and carrots. The scallops seemed boiled in the sauce not sautéed. I would have preferred for them to say they didn't have scallops than make this. I also had to ask for sweet and sour sauce for the crab Rangoons and egg rolls and the cashier seemed annoyed. I would think that'd be a given at least for the crab Rangoons. Had high hopes for this place as it is close to our house and would go there often, but literally all the food I ordered from there ended up in the garbage and uneaten. Went for their lunch special, prices were reasonable. Cashew chicken with nuts, bourbon chicken, and spring rolls. Upon opening the entrées, they both had an off odor, an unpleasant one that was not appetizing at all. And they tasted as bad as they smelled. I ate the white rice and threw the rest away. I'm not sure if it was bad chicken or something in the sauce but it was awful. The eggrolls and spring rolls were average, a little over cooked but the flavor OK. I'm sorry, but we will not be back, which makes me sad because I really like to support local businesses. I guess I'm a little confused by the four stars it's receiving, so it looks like everybody else's experience was better than mine. This was my first time trying this place. We ordered ahead. No issues getting our food, and it was ready by the time we got there. You can expect your standard Chinese options. I read a review raving about the Szechuan beef and dumplings, so I ordered both. The beef was tender and the veggies were good. The sauce was just the right amount of sweet and spicy. Because we had a family member highly allergic and could not tolerate any. I just called in to happy dragon to place an order and the guy was extremely rude. first off when I answered to phone he just said "yea hold on" I waited for several minutes and when he got back he just said "what do you want" very aggressively with no hello or anything. I started to order and because they don't have their menu posted correctly ANYWHERE. Most of what I was trying to order was not on their menu and the guy I spoke to just told me "find the right menu and then call back" and hung up.
