Experience with ZaMora Plumbing (Angel & Victor) This contractor was assigned through our home warranty for a plumbing blockage. They attempted hydro-jetting, which did not resolve the issue, yet charged $545. With our permission, they cut an access opening in a pipe in the garage, stating they needed access to where they believed the obstruction was and that they would return to continue the work once warranty approval was obtained. Warranty approval was granted, and a technician arrived the following day -- however, he left without engaging the homeowner or performing any work. We requested camera footage or documentation explaining why hydro-jetting failed. The company stated they could not provide camera footage due to pipe diameter limitations, but they also did not provide written documentation explaining the failure, the condition of the line, or justification for the full charge. After multiple follow-up attempts, the company stopped responding. At that point, the job remained incomplete, the pipe opening was still present, and there was no communication or plan to finish the authorized work. This experience involved poor communication, lack of documentation, and an incomplete job. We escalated the matter back to the home warranty company for reassignment. read more

They are not good on follow through. They seem to like simple jobs, charge top dollar, and just move on. Asked for an estimate on another repair and they have yet to get back. Don't bother with them! They came out (through the American Home Shield warranty company) on Tuesday, 10/03 to do an assessment of a broken tankless water heater (no hot water). They claimed it needed to be replaced. They claimed they needed to make a report to American Home Shield to get the approval to replace it. As of Thurs 10/05, still no word - so I tried to call them. Voicemail (and subsequently, no return phone call from them!). I contacted American Home Shield who had not heard from them either. They tried to call. Got Voicemail as well. Tuesday, 10/10 rolls around, still nothing. I get Voicemail again and American Home Shield states that they still have not heard from them. I've now gone with a different plumber who - after a phone call with the tankless water heater manufacturer (which he made while still on site!) says the problem is fixable and ordered the very affordable parts. Replacement NOT needed. Next review of Zamora Plumbing goes to the Better Business Bureau. read more

WASTE OF TIME! I was referred to Zamora plumbing through my home warranty company for a kitchen faucet issue. They booked a time to have a technician come out and they were a NO SHOW. They completely blew me off without even a response via text or phone, despite my attempts to contact them. What a waste of time. I would NOT recommend them because they obviously do not know that meaning of customer service (I have been without water in my kitchen faucet for days) or how to run a business! read more

I was referred to Zamora by my warranty company, as our water heater went out. They promptly arrived for the first and second appointments, and completed the replacement expeditiously. Also, they were willing to complete the job, for a lower amount than originally quoted. The problems arose when we requested an invoice, for our files, and were informed by the technician that we need to call the office to request. I called the office and requested that it be emailed to me. After a few days went by, with no email, I called again and this time I was informed that the invoice was placed in the mail. I gave it a week and called again (called all three numbers) and got a technician on the final number who said he would have the person in the office mail the invoice. The work was done 03MAY24, and I have texted and/or called(left voicemail) every week since, with no resolve. I like supporting local businesses, but I would never recommend nor use this business again. We are three months later and still no invoice. I don't like writing negative reviews, but it shouldn't be so difficult to get something that should be a part of the day to day business practice. read more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY ON ZAMORA PLUMBING I had a home warranty request and was assigned to another plumbing company initially. They were unreliable and cancelled an hour before they were supposed to show up and never called back to reschedule. I called First Home Warranty back and was reassigned to Zamora Plumbing. On the day of service, Javier and Alex inspected my refrigerator, LOOKED at the plumbing (literally did a visual inspection and nothing more), and determined within 5 minutes nothing was wrong with the plumbing and I would need to get my appliance replaced! How did they determine that without ever testing any of the pipes? My case got reassigned to a RELIABLE fridge technician who inspected the fridge and determined nothing was wrong with my fridge, and ended up checking the PLUMBING for me since Zamora plumbers didn't do it. He took apart the pipe that connects to my fridge and SHOWED me no water was coming out. I cannot believe a FRIDGE TECHNICIAN had to go out of his way and do the work of a PLUMBER. Zamora Plumbing was hired to inspect the plumbing but they did NOTHING other than a visual inspection that can't tell me anything! I was having issues with my kitchen sink on Sunday--it wasn't draining properly. I put in a request with my home warranty company on Monday, and the company assigned a different plumber (not Zamora) for the task. I couldn't get ahold of that plumber at ALL for two days to even schedule the initial appointment! I therefore asked my home warranty company to switch providers and was re-assigned to Zamora Plumbing. Zamora called me back THAT SAME DAY and scheduled an appointment for the next day (yesterday). When the technician arrived yesterday, he realized that my unit is above another unit and likely shares the same plumbing line--thus, he couldn't do the repair unless and until the owner of the unit below was home, for safety reasons. I knew the unit owner wouldn't be home for several hours, so the technician left and we had to reschedule for today. After I got ahold of the unit owner and inquired about his availability, I told Zamora that he would be leaving his apartment at 8 a.m. today, so Zamora sent out two technicians who arrived a little after 7 a.m. Those technicians left their homes at 5:45 a.m. to make it on time before the unit owner below left for the day!! They came and did the repair within 30-45 minutes and all went well. In sum, Zamora went out of their way to accommodate a very narrow window of availability and did their best to make sure the issue (which was greatly affecting my ability to use my kitchen) was resolved in a timely manner, which made my life SO much easier!! I immediately felt a weight lifted off of my shoulders when they left my apartment this morning. Thank you! read more

Referred by First American Home Warranty for a clogged kitchen sink. Angel called and said he'll be here in 35 minutes. He was 20 minutes late. Angel showed up without booties for shoes but I was happy to supply them. The first words out of his mouth were there might be a problem with this building, all while not even looking at the kitchen yet. When he saw the clog, his reaction was "wow, this doesn't look good." He asked if we had access to the apartment below in case he flushes that it might be effected. He asked if I could contact the neighbor below since he would need to access their unit. Strange request but I went down to see if they were home. Angel said he had to make a call to First American in the meantime. I came back in less than 2 minutes and Angel was gone and nowhere to be found. He left without saying anything to me or my gf who was home. I called 4 times but straight to voicemail. I texted and he finally responded 15 minutes later. Angel said they needed another technician with different equipment. Very disappointed and unprofessional. Angel definitely did not meet expectations and demonstrated the poorest service encountered. Zamora management, please provide feedback and training. Disappointed with their service. Also referred by a home warranty request. First time they came they were very polite, called to schedule their visit in a timely manner, and arrived at the agreed date (not on time, but it's understandable). First request fulfilled by them, we were charged $100 for them only to tighten the toilet water valve. We were a little concerned and called American Home Shield who explained the fee was for their time. Since we had a neutral experience with them, when making a new request, we didn't mind having them back for a 2nd service request. This time the request is for a water heater, the request was made on 3/30 and were told they'd call to schedule the visit. It's about to be a week and no sign of them. I've had the AHS call to follow up twice and I've personally called both Angel's telephone and the number they have on the van and have had no answer. If you don't mind waiting an eternity, then this is the place for you. Otherwise, I suggest searching for another plumber. read more

I requested this service through a home warranty service. On the first call out, it took some effort to get them out due to lack of communication. I wasted a whole day waiting for a tech and when they finally came out after rescheduling, they managed to fix one problem but did a half assed job on the other problem. This resulted in a second call out and though an appointment was set, the tech never showed up and subsequent attempts to the company never got answered. Angel's crew was part of a home warranty job, and they were sent by the warranty company to replace my water heater. Things started out pretty good. They came out and replaced the water heater but there were other charges that I found out that I would have to pay and was reluctant to pay. Angel explained them to me and then did it for a reduced price. At the same time I asked him to look at a toilet that was running and to put a new cap on the clean out at my house. He agreed to do both of these for an additional $50. I paid everything when he finished the water heater. I was happy with the water heater, but after that communication stopped. Things went downhill from there. When he finished the water heater he did not fix either of the other things I asked him to do and paid him for. He said he would do them the following Monday (he replaced the water heater on Friday). Here I am more than 6 weeks later and I still don't know if he did either of the other 2 jobs and he hasn't returned any of my calls. I have no idea why. I have texted him and left voice messages, but nothing. I am very frustrated and disappointed that he didn't follow through or have the courtesy to return my calls to confirm he did the job. Was referred to these guys through First American Home Warranty. Had two toilets that didn't flush and Zamora was supposed to come out and do a camera diagnosis. He clears the lines and says that everything is working perfectly. Because he could not find a problem he would need further approval to use the camera. Two days later the lines backup and there's sewage coming up from the drains. I call FAHW to reopen the claim, Zamora's guys showed up on Thursday and say "everything is working fine" and walk away. Had they used the camera, they would've found the sagging pipe, which is the reason the toilets would backup every 2 days. Not sure where all the other 5 star reviews came from, but that's not the quality of service I received. read more

Worst service we have every received. Angel was dispatched by our home warranty company on April 30, 2021 to take care of a leak at our apartment building. He came to the property on 5/3/21, took a look but didn't fix the leak. Said would be back in touch. Never called back. After numerous phone calls to office, Katie set up an appointment for him to come back and fix the leak on 5/11/21 between 9-11:00. I called to confirm appointment and left messages several times but never got a call back and no one every answered the phones. My husband waited at the building all day and no one came or called. Initially I called because my water heater stopped working after Termite Fumigation. I've been showering in cold water during the winter. Angel and his brother came yesterday and they seemed super nice. Saying "yes ma'am" and such. I had called them for First American Warranty as many others have done. Its sad because I saw the reviews that everyone gave when they had ordered them for First American but I hoped/prayed they would be different. They came, I listed all the issues I had. Some things he said would be covered and others wouldnt. I was fine with that. I got a quote on some of the things that wouldnt be covered and I thought they were reasonable. Sadly I was ready to hire him for the other work that needed to be done. Next day I get a call from First American saying he only claimed 1 thing that wouldnt be covered. The rest who knows what happened?! I told First American there was 3 things and that wasnt one of them. I dont know who is lying to me but why would he report only 1 thing. For the water heater he said the water pressure of the house was too high. Later I found out the water heater can handle more than what the water pressure of the house is. I also fixed the water pressure of the house and water heater still doesnt work. I asked First America for another plumber. I told her if she looked at reviews on Yelp for anyone using him for First American, he got bad reviews. I totally understand now. Now back to cold showers until this issue gets resolved. Zamora is a joke. If First American offers them to you make sure to ask them to find someone else. They wasted my $75. read more

After coming out and diagnosing the problem, they knocked a hole in the exterior wall where the problem was and said they would be back to fix after getting approval from the warranty co. The repair was approved and i attempted to make an appointment. They were nearly impossible to get a hold of (do not answer the phone and never responded to approximately 10 left voicemails) and when were finally able to schedule an appointment, they no showed. They then rescheduled for the next day, and no showed again never to be heard from again. Even the warranty co were unable to contact them and finally gave up and assigned a new plumber. Zamora Plumbing was assigned to come out by First American Home Warranty to diagnose a leaking garbage disposal. They spent about a half an hour looking at it and determined that a new one was needed and promised to submit the paperwork to have one ordered. A month went by with no response, and I was unable to contact them. I ultimately had to get another contractor assigned to my case because Zamora just disappeared on us. My review goes something like 99% of the reviews on this bogus company. Home warranty company sent them out to fix the water diverter in the shower. They did it with a piece that was completely mismatched. Zamora offered to install a new matching set we purchased but they needed a different valve. It took two months of back and forth with them having us (not them the plumbers) ordering the wrong valves they sent us to purchase. About a month ago they busted through the back wall of the shower and realized the plate on the front of the new fixture was too small for the opening from the shower into the wall (they never bothered to measure) and told me they would be back in touch with a solution. I hired another plumber a few days later who ordered the wider Moen plate for $39 and installed everything the next day. I still haven't heard back from Zamora and it has been over a month. Zero stars here if I could read more
