I called Lots the day after Christmas because one toilet was slowly dripping from a bad connection- enough to make a puddle within a few hours. Another toilet was running every few hours, probably because a seal in the flap wasn't working. My appointment was between 1:00-3:00 and I did get a call because the guy was running late. Found out he was also coming from LA and it was pouring rain really hard, so I couldn't fault him for that. Bo was respectful and removed his shoes when coming in. I showed him both toilets and (the reason for one less star) was his immediate diagnosis was to replace my old toilet, at $300 just for the unit, without labor. Hey I'm asking to have a slow leak replaced, plus my toilet isn't dumping water in my bathroom. It's a slow drip. After saying no to 2 new toilets, Bo said the leaky toilet has a loose connection and the other running one could have the flap replaced. The whole thing took about 20 minutes to fix and I was charged $225, and I wrote a check and tipped him also. (Note: always write a check- never use cash- so you have a paper trail). Was it priced high? Maybe. But if he fixed the issue then it was worth it. Hopefully no update on this issue will be needed. Also no receipt for this issue was received. Update It's been 24 hours and my running toilet has stopped running, and my leaky toilet stopped leaking. So I am glad that Lots fixed it. Our home repair insurance company referred Lots Plumbing to us as our air conditioner wouldn't stay on for more than 8-10 minutes. We're in the middle of a heat wave and didn't get an appointment for a couple of days as I expected. On the appointment day Erick called to say if he could come earlier than the appointed time of which I readily agreed to. He was here in 1/2 hour. I explained the problem and Erick knew the exact problem. A pump with a reservoir to collect condensation was full of water so the pump wouldn't work. He emptied the reservoir and connected it back. A secondary sensor had water in it and that had to be cleared. Erick checked other areas and after that everything worked fine. Erick knew the exact issue and resolved it quickly. With the so California heat yesterday we had the misfortune of realizing our A C unit was blowing air but no cooling was occurring. I recently bought a home that has been kind of nightmare (yay...seller's market ) and during Labor Day weekend there was a pinhole leak in what now I know it Kitec pipes which are trash and if you have them you should change them right away. I tried to get the issue fixed and was told several times and $300 dollars later (shady plumber) to get it fixed. I was luckily able to get Lots Repipe's information from a neighbor who sadly had the same issue and she gave me Erick's information. At this point I hadn't had water for about a week and he came out on his day off and quoted me a repipe and dry wall cover up at a competitive price. Our home was discovered to have badly corroded copper pipes when we gutted one of our bathrooms. We called up Lots Repipe and Plumbing Services and was put in touch with Bo. Bo came over to check out our situation on the next available business day. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and patient with my wife and I. He gave us fair quotes for different repiping methods (copper, PEX, etc). Not being all that knowledge ourselves, we asked for his professional recommendation, to which he informed us that PEX is probably the way to go. Why? Because we already had problems with copper, so why would we want to go over this issue again in 10-15 years? Sounded like a pretty good answer to us. He did tell us that the caveat with PEX is that there are issues with rodents possibly chewing through the pipes. However, our area is fairly rodent free, so we didn't see that as too much of a drawback. He even agreed to move some of our pipes around in the master bath, along with installing a water softener that we provided, all as part of the package of repiping the whole house. After we agreed to everything, Bo and his crew came by and did everything in a little under a day.
