We called yesterday morning when we noticed our AC was not kicking on and they were able to get a tech out today! Butch arrived on time and was friendly as could be. He wasted no time jumping in and trying to diagnose the problem. He went through everything he could think of, figured it out, and advised us of best solutions. We never felt pressured or unsure of the decisions we were making. He also pointed out things to keep an eye on, as they appeared to be going bad or outdated, but again, never once did he push for us to buy or do anything now. He was also honest with us about replacing the unit altogether (yes, you're thinking he wants us to spend the money and they make it), but the unit is 32 years old with a life expectancy of 20, soo he's not wrong. Beyond suggesting a new unit he priced out different components that we could replace, as we wanted to, in order to squeeze as much life out as we could. We were already considering replacing, so he helped us set up a no obligation consultation later this week. And honestly, if not for the service and respect we've been shown, we'd consider shopping around more, but this family owned company has earned our business and trust for years to come! In the last 10 or so years in the area I've called RHA, one other place because they could get me to faster - had a bad experience, waited for RHA had an amazing experience, and decided they're going to be my ride-or-die for HVAC. I called them at 7am and by 11:30am their tech had fixed and tested everything and off to help someone else. Yesterday was the start of a heat wave and ... our AC unit quit on us. I called RHA as soon as they opened this morning at 7am, asked for Joe in particular, and they gave me a window between 10am and 12pm. Joe texted ahead of time at 10:30, diagnosed the blown capacitor, swapped it out, cleaned things up a bit, tested the coolant, answered a bunch of questions, and was on his way in just under an hour. The diagnostic was $129 and the capacitor was $186 today. By a complete and total coincidence, I had been running some experiments with home temperature sensors for the last week. You can literally see on these pictures exactly when the AC unit stopped working - and when RHA saved our bacon. The "other" place I called years ago only had a $79 diagnostic charge, but wanted to rip out and replace the entire HVAC system - and claimed we were taking our lives in our own hands by not getting it fixed with him immediately. Joe and RHA took care of everything for the diagnostic. Yeah, you can probably find someplace to charge you less for the diagnostic or maybe less for the part, but when your house is boiling hot / freezing cold, you want to be able to call on someone you can trust to help you out - and not take you for a ride.

What stood out most was their commitment to making sure everything was done right. Garrett even had this cool tool that analyzed what size unit we would need based on the size of the house, orientation of the sun, ups and downs in the weather during the day, and the temperature we like to keep our home set at. I've never seen anything like it. Any time we had questions or concerns, they were responsive, patient, and willing to help. Even when there was a small project miscommunication along the way, they completely stood by their work and made sure everything was corrected and handled properly without hesitation. That level of customer service and integrity is hard to find these days. The quality of the installation and follow-up support exceeded our expectations. I also asked Mountain Air out for a replacement quote, assuming the unit was unrepairable at this point. Mountain Air arrived to measure and quote a replacement. They asked what was wrong with current unit and I explained that it was old and the motor is no longer available. He inspected the unit and said that it is the motor, and not only is it replaceable, but he could go out and get the motor immediately. Within an hour my AC was fixed just in time for a heat wave! I was prepared to have no AC for the rest of summer.

I have been really skeptical of all HVAC companies in the past 5 years. I have been burned by so many HVAC techs and wasted so much money. 4 different companies went through with different shadiness levels giving me different answers for the same HVAC issue. Every company kept telling me my freon was low and i most likely had a leak. One company even told me to just replace my brand new system cause "it was from China" The Jaguar tech (Jeff) definitely gave me some disappointed head shakes at previous work but was the only one to truly put his head down, work, and diagnose the root cause of the issue. He checked every part of the system before he gave me an answer on what he believed was wrong. After the diagnosis he detailed every part of the HVAC unit (and attic unit) and explained to me what he was looking for, what he found, and what he believed was the answer. I never felt like he was up-selling me. It wasn't even a freon issue to begin with and the filter drier needed to be replaced. After another visit and a 4 hour procedure my HVAC unit has been running smoothly all Summer 2026. I will seriously only call this company from now on.
