They were respectful of our home and busy schedules and handled the install in a timely manner. They cleaned up their workspaces and were sure to leave our home the way they found it. When I first called the quote was $89 diagnostic and they told me if a repair was needed the $89 would go to my repair if a repair was needed. After telling them what type of heater/AC unit I had, they said my heater unit was complex, and that the diagnostic would be $250 and if any repair were needed the $250 would not contribute to the cost of the repair. $250 is quite expensive to have a guy come out and diagnose a problem. Especially in the beginning of the phone call I was quoted with $89 and it went all the way up to $250. I asked them what if it was a simple problem, would they still charge me $250? The guy on the phone told me if it is simple why are you calling us? Very rude. Instead of giving this greedy company my money, I took the time and actually was able to fix the error code on my heater on my own, so in fact if Kendrick, it would have been a huge waste of money. There are a lot of repair companies out there, Kendrick customer service is quite rude, I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Their quote was the lowest we got, but we got what we paid for. We had them replace our HVAC a few…read moreyears ago. They did not install the correct size return vent so our heater kept overheating. It would cycle on and off every few minutes and say it was heating when no air was moving. We literally had them come out 4 times before they found out what the issue one. The first 3 times they gaslit us and said that is was our Nest or a draft in an interior wall... I think they have only one good employee because the 4th guy to show up told us he liked to get paid for his overtime and would stick around until he got to the cause of the problem. Also when they finally "fixed" the return vent to a proper sized, they botched the install and had cracks in the ceiling and random screws sticking out in places. So they had to come back again to fix that mistake.

We called yesterday morning when we noticed our AC was not kicking on and they were able to get a tech out today! Butch arrived on time and was friendly as could be. He wasted no time jumping in and trying to diagnose the problem. He went through everything he could think of, figured it out, and advised us of best solutions. We never felt pressured or unsure of the decisions we were making. He also pointed out things to keep an eye on, as they appeared to be going bad or outdated, but again, never once did he push for us to buy or do anything now. He was also honest with us about replacing the unit altogether (yes, you're thinking he wants us to spend the money and they make it), but the unit is 32 years old with a life expectancy of 20, soo he's not wrong. Beyond suggesting a new unit he priced out different components that we could replace, as we wanted to, in order to squeeze as much life out as we could.
