Great service! It's hot August and I return from vacation & no A/C! I was able to get Kevin out the next day. He came when he said & if running late kept me updated which I appreciated. He wasn't able to fix it so he came back the next day with a part that didn't fix the issue. Another part was ordered that took days to arrive. Finally Kevin's back but this part doesn't work either. Each time he came out, he tried so hard to get it working. Now it's a Friday after hours & he doesn't want to leave me without air so he keeps trying. I've never had anyone so determined to fix the issue & was able to get it working! I was so thankful & impressed with him. To top it off, I got a call a few days later saying they would be refunding me the first part that didn't fix it. I hope I never need their services again but if I did I'd definitely call them. read more

I don't often leave reviews, so when I do it's because I'm super impressed with the service. I live in the East Bay and was trying to find a company that deals with Fujitsu AC issues still under the manufacturers warranty. Chat GPT recommended Kendrick as the number 1 company. When I phoned them they mentioned they don't come down as far as the East Bay, but told me they would find out who did service the Bay Area from the manufacturers rep who was on leave at the time. True to their word they phoned me a week later with the information. I'm impressed that they took the time to phone me (thankyou Wade for your call) and made the effort to find the information I needed, when they had nothing to gain. This is service at its best, and I'll make sure I'll always recommend them to friends who live in their area. read more

Very disappointed with Kendrick Heating and Air. I gave them thousands to fix my AC before, and it's been working fine, however my heater had an error code this time. When I first called the quote was $89 diagnostic and they told me if a repair was needed the $89 would go to my repair if a repair was needed. After telling them what type of heater/AC unit I had, they said my heater unit was complex, and that the diagnostic would be $250 and if any repair were needed the $250 would not contribute to the cost of the repair. $250 is quite expensive to have a guy come out and diagnose a problem. Especially in the beginning of the phone call I was quoted with $89 and it went all the way up to $250. I asked them what if it was a simple problem, would they still charge me $250? The guy on the phone told me if it is simple why are you calling us? Very rude. Instead of giving this greedy company my money, I took the time and actually was able to fix the error code on my heater on my own, so in fact if Kendrick, it would have been a huge waste of money. There are a lot of repair companies out there, Kendrick customer service is quite rude, I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

Estimate requested for our 3100 sqft home in Auburn... our 14 year old HVAC needed to be replaced along with updates to our ductwork. Jordan Kendrick from Kendrick Heating and Air, Inc. came out and provided thorough inspections with exceptional explanation of the physics and mechanics of our inefficient unit vs different types of HVAC units along with efficiency and quality information. He was not pushy. His pricing more reasonable than other HVAC contractors interviewed. We hired him, and he and his crew replaced our HVAC and modified our ductwork without issue. All were professional, courteous, and fine workmanship. We really appreciated Jordan's care and attention to detail, honesty, and professionalism. We highly recommend Kendrick Heating and air, Inc. for down to earth non corporate influenced care. read more

We have had no problems with our new HVAC system and highly recommend Kendrick Heating & Air to anyone looking for the complete package with outstanding service, professional knowledge and excellent installation skills. A special shout out to our service technician, Joshua, who just competed our last free HVAC tune up service which was included as part of a new complete heat pump installation three years ago. read more

Customer service and quality were great, value on other hand not sure he replaced 24v contactor 30 dollar item for 450, crazy

Kendrick Heating and Air continues to provide excellent service to us. They came to the house on April 10 and performed our spring tune-up. Jordan and Joshua were on-time, polite, respectful of our floorings, and took care of some rat damage to our line enclosure outside. We are extremely happy with the level of service we have received since Kendrick installed our new systems a couple years ago. They are very responsive to our needs and are always on top of scheduling our bi-annual services. They have good people and are on top of taking care of business. Highly recommended. read more

Tyler came for the second opinion on the HVAC problem we had. Kendrick provides a free second opinion, so it is a great place to get another expert's opinion. He drew what was going on on a piece of paper, and his explanation was very clear. I could understand what was going on much better. You can tell that he definitely cares and tries to help out. I appreciate his time and honesty, and pricing seems competitive, and we highly recommend them. read more

Amazing work! Same day service! Sincerely saved the day given the heat of a Sacramento summer.

In late December our heater had issues. Cold and foggy weather made it more of an issue. Called company on Monday and didn't expect to get any appointment until after New Year's. Surprise! They came out on Tuesday and quickly completed diagnostics. After discussing what it would take to get the old unit going again, we decided it was time to go ahead and get new system. The installation manager reached out to us to see if his crew could come Tuesday afternoon to start demolition of old unit. Not only did they complete that process, they installed the new unit before leaving for home the same day. It was wonderful to be able to start heating our house again. Extremely professional and responsive. read more

I recently had my heating/cooling system serviced as part of the ongoing preventive maintenance program recommended by Kendrick. Jacob arrived right on time, put his booties on and proceeded to complete his preventive maintenance, when completed, we sat and Jacob went through all that he had performed. My system is approximately four years old and has performed flawlessly, it has outperformed the old system by leaps and bounds. I have enrolled in Kendrick's Preventive Maintenance program to insure the system continues to function as expected. Kendrick will contact me and advise when the maintinance is due. Thank you Kendrick, you folks are like family and our pleasure to know we can count on you. Continued success . Arthur Vigil read more

I was completely unaware that Kendrick did HVAC cleaning and repair. Soley based on their ties to Rocklin Ca. and a few reviews I set up an appointment. They told me about an offer of discount without me even mentioning. They promptly assisted in making an appointment and it all worked perfectly. The results were honest, clear and reflected their genuine interest in seeing our system is functioning properly. Upon completion there were no surprises and or cost changes from the original agreement. read more

I cannot say enough positive things about this company. They took an old, poorly configured system and replaced it with an energy efficient and stronger system. They were fast, competitively priced, and most importantly they COMMUNICATED with us every step of the way. I highly recommend. read more

I am just beginning my relationship with Kendrick Heating & Air. I chose them based on all the positive, satisfied customer reviews. So far, I am very pleased with the service I received from Tyler of Kendrick Heating & Air. He was very punctual, pleasant, knowledgeable and efficient. I'm sure all their technicians are comparable just by reading the reviews. I would definitely recommend their services. read more

We originally gave Kendrick a 1 star review because we were not aware of the labor cost. The owner of the company called us asked for our input on what happened. After we told him about not being informed of the labor cost of $325.00, he told us that is not how his company does business. So he refunded to us the entire cost of our bill. We are very impressed that he cared enough to call us and listen. Thank you! read more

We recently had a problem with our A/C unit. I was able to schedule an appointment through the website and they responded promptly. They were able to send a technician that day! Mike responded and was great! He able to diagnose the problem in no time and fixed it with no problem. He also answered several questions we had and even assisted in providing us with a whole house fan quote. I think the best part was that he took pictures and was able to show me the exact problem and how he was going to fix it. I never had any doubts of what I was paying for which is always a plus when you are a novice at any HVAC work! Super impressed and would recommend Kendrick and Mike to any of my neighbors! Thank you. read more

What can I say. From owner to our technician, Tyler, the service was exceptional. I have an older unit that uses R22 refrigerant. I contacted at least a dozen companies, including the one that serviced the same unit in 2019. Only 4 even had the refrigerant it requires. Kendrick charged less than 1/2 of what the others wanted. They were able to reveal and refill the unit, and it works PERFECTLY! Thank you Kendrick Heating and Air read more

Great service, knowledgeable, caring and trusting. Fair price. Paid for yearly service for air and heating. Would recommend always. Thank you read more

Our AC unit went down the first day of a recent 100F+ heat wave and with 3 young kids we were in big trouble. We called Kendrick at about 5pm and they came as they soon as they could the next day (just as it was getting hot). We called 5 other AC Repair companies and only one other responded with a much later appointment date. When Jordan arrived he was professional and well prepared with PPE when he entered into our home. He quickly diagnosed the issue. The capacitor was down (swollen) and the connections in our safety breaker box were loose and melted the plastic housing. In short, Jordan was able to get our AC up and running, replaced our breaker box, tested our entire system (including inspected our HVAC system in the attic) and had suggestions on keeping our system running efficiently. If we have any future issues or want to get whole house fan we will definitely be calling Kendrick. Thank you for the Top Notch service! read more

Kendrick Heating & Air - Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC Near Me - Rocklin, California

See all

I found this company to be twice as expensive as other companies. Please get other quotes. The salesman did one of those quotes ~ if it was my air conditioning I would change the part~ which it probably didn't need changing. The part cost me over $300, I got quotes after the fact from 2 other reputable companies and they charged between $120 and $190. I also spoke with a contractor friend who said it's a small part that you just can do by yourself with a simple screwing the part in the unit and taking the old one out. The part itself cost $79 on my receipt and the rest of the money was labor, that's why I asked my friend if it was a hard piece to put in and he said no. If it was a difficult repair I would not be writing this review. read more

I contacted Kendrick Heating & Air for an AC tune up. They were one of the few companies that had availability for a tune up at the height of summer. For that reason, I didn't shop around much. Had I, I would have discovered that other providers offer HVAC tune ups for $30 - 40 cheaper. The technician cleaned and recharged the system as expected. He advised that the AC system is leaking since they needed to put ~4 lbs of coolant back in the system. No problem. My issue comes from the recommendation to put dye in the system to discover where the leak is. They would then schedule an appointment a couple weeks out to come back and use UV lights to find the leak. This dye costs $200... Fast forward a couple weeks when the receptionist calls to schedule the follow up, I'm now being told that the follow up appointment to find the link would be an additional $250. Excuse me, what?? There was no conversation of an additional expense when the dye was discussed. So you're telling me it costs $450 to FIND a leak and that's before any repair costs?? Talk about price gouging. These folks weaseled $200 out of me by not being upfront about the pricing of their services. I want others to be aware of my experience. I will not be using Kendrick again in the future. read more

They are a class act. Extremely well oiled machine. Knowledgable, reliable. On top of it from beginning to end.

Kendrick Heating & Air was one of 4 companies we asked to come out and provide us a bid for a new HVAC unit. From the very get go Jordan (Kendrick) was super down to earth, was extremely knowledgable and explained more than I'll ever need to know about an AC unit. It was these qualities that made our decision a no brainer in choosing this company. Rarely do I run across a company rhat impresses me let alone does so with such integrity and care for the work they do. I trust this company wholeheartedly and am so fortunate to have found them. They weren't the cheapest but I can say without a doubt they were definitely the best. read more

I have used Kendrick Heating and repair two times for a complete service of our existing heating and air conditioning system. The first time for a service check was very thorough. It took between one to one and half hours. About a year later our Ac which is over 20 years old stop working. The tech that service our unit diagnose the issue and had our Ac up and running in no time. I can not not say enough about the professionalism of this company. I would recommend and use this company again. read more

I just had Tyler out for an A/C maintenance. This was the 1st time that I've used Kendrick Heating & Air. As they say, you cannot make a 2nd first impression, and Tyler hit it out of the park. He couldn't have been more courteous and pleasant...he even put up with my dog needing to do his standard meet&greet at the door! Tyler's work was great...did everything that I was hoping he would do, and then some. Checked our A/C units, cleaned the filters, and then went over everything that he did plus what we might expect, given that our units are 17 years old. Fortunately, he felt that all was fine for now. I could not recommend Kendrick Heating & Air any more highly and I'll be a customer for as long as we live here. read more

After attempting a few troubleshooting tricks, figured I needed to call a professional to get the A/C unit blowing hot air again before the Auburn chill hit. I called on Monday, and the polite guy said someone wouldn't be out until Thursday, which wasn't an issue. He also said it would be $89 bucks for the assessment and an estimate would follow after he took a look at the problem. Turns out there was a bug in the ignition hose so he only charged the 89 bucks. Highly recommend! Our AC stopped working on the evening of 5/26/22. I called Kendrick first thing the next morning, 5/26/22. Jordan was very polite/understanding and scheduled Jerry to come out later that afternoon between 4:00-6:00. Later in the day, Jerry called to let me know that he was on his way. He arrived early, quickly identified the issue (a bad capacitor), replaced the capacitor, and was done by 4:30. Jerry was down to earth and very considerate and patient and also answered other questions I had about our existing HVAC system and the idea of moving towards a mini-split setup. read more

I went in search of an efficient modern ductless mini-split heat pump system for my 80 year-old family home. The old air conditioner and gas furnace were inefficient and conditioned the whole house even when I was not using some of the rooms. After researching online I decided that Fujitsu heat pumps was the brand of choice for quality and efficiency. My next step was to search out an experienced HVAC contractor I could trust to work on my cherished home. I found Kendrick Heating and Air on Yelp with a five-star customer review rating. They specialize in Fujitsu mini-split installations, and are listed as an approved SMUD contractor to qualify for a $3,000 rebate. Kendrick delivers a level of personal service and attention to detail that is all too rare in an era of large companies and interchangeable employees. When your name is on the family business there is a personal pride and work ethic that cannot be matched in a large, impersonal company. Jordan Kendrick really listened to what I wanted and applied his intelligence and knowledge to designing a new multi-split heat pump system for my family heritage house. I am extremely pleased with the work that he and his excellent installation team did for me. Other companies I had bid on the work did not listen to what I wanted, did not consider alternatives to their usual installation designs, and were already forgetting details before they finished their initial walkthrough. This was in stark contrast to my experience with Jordan. He custom-designed an affordable new system for my custom house, and personally oversaw the installation. Another company bid $3,000 higher for smaller capacity equipment and less desirable installation. Their designer/salesman wasn't even going to be present during the installation. As an Elite Fujitsu installer Kendrick qualified my installation for a 12-year manufacturer's parts warranty and stand behind their installation with a 10-year labor warranty. I can see how they can afford to do that, having watched the care they took doing the installation right the first time. They have installed over 100 Fujitsu heat pump systems in the past 3 years. The company also installs traditional HVAC systems and ducted heat pump systems. They service and repair all types of HVAC systems. Jordan and his father Jerry told me that they often find themselves repairing mini-split heat pump systems incorrectly installed by other companies, but they almost never have a call back on their own installations. I recommend the team at Kendrick Heating and Air very highly. I am extremely pleased with all aspects of their service and installation. Make them your first call and you won't have to make another. read more

Called yesterday and Jordan was super nice and scheduled an appointment the very next day. Mike was the technician that came out and went straight to work.
