Felafel Salad bowl
Jason M.

Z Kebap is an interesting study of contrast and mixed influences. A menu that is one part kebap, felafels & rice and one part smash burgers & chicken wings. The food isn't the only interesting juxtaposition. Upon entry you are facing a take-out counter where you order and pay up front. However, there a small intimately lit and decorated dining room in the back that includes lighting effects and some ornate artistic touches, but with a self-serve fountain drink station where you must also pick up plastic utensils and napkins before sitting at a table or booth. After ordering on your feet, someone will deliver the food to your table... on disposable paper plates with sauces and sides in plastic containers. I ordered a mixed Chicken (Jujeh) and Beef Kebap (Kubideh) plate that came with rice, pickled onions, a grilled tomato, grilled jalapeño pieces, pita, and some sauces. My wife ordered a felafel salad bowl that was felafel on a basic salad of lettuce, tomatoes, onion, and paneer and came with a tahini based dressing. We ordered two fountain drinks. They have Coke products. The Kebap and rice plate was a good value for $14 and tasty. The chicken was moist and the kubideh was decent. The rice was excellent. The pickled onion left me wanting more. If you are wondering, the Kebap seasoning is based on an Afghan version of the familiar pan-Asian dish. I confirmed this in a chat with the staff. Overall it was under $40 for two and probably a great choice for pickup or a delivery service. The dining room can hold maybe 15-20 people max. I didn't check out the restrooms. Our food came out quickly and the staff was very nice. Overall - not bad and I would eat there again. That said the overall vibe is a place that either isn't sure what it wants to be yet or alternatively maybe wants to be something for everyone? Either way, it's worth another try to see what the other side of the menu's personality is like if for no other reason.

Although the food was fresh and good quality, it was VERY bland and under seasoned. Maybe just an " off " day.

They had cool fans running everywhere. It was not too bad. Service was great. Such friendly people. Wings are really good. I was worried that we won't finish it but it was a clean plate at the end. Juicy and good seasoning. My burger came with toasts(?). caramelized onions complemented well with the patty. Patty itself was not bad. Flavorful. It's a popular spot among locals.

Garlic parmesan and spicy carribean jerk didn't have much taste like their names We came here to grab dinner on Friday evening. It was somewhat busy but we got a table right away. The interior was pretty nice, had a giant bar at the back side and also a separate space with one billiard board and couple of shuffle boards. There were TVs all around playing the World Cup game. The AC was broken, so they had some air blowers pumping air. They were really a burger place with the menu having 50 different types of burgers. They had chili, salad and wings too. I ordered the 10 jumbo wings, which were roasted style with moist soft meat inside. I got the garlic parmesan and spicy Caribbean jerk sauces on the side, but none of tasted like their names. I really liked the Rueben burger. But the side of coleslaw was somewhat busy disappointing, was straight up lifeless cabbage thrown in a bowl, had no cream whatsoever. When I asked the waitress about it, she said that's how it was and nothing she could do about it. The truffle fries were much better quality side. The staff members all around were friendly. They all were suffering from the AC blowout too. The dishes came out in short intervals despite the place being busy. Overall it seemed to be a solid place to hangout and have burger and fries.

We were led to a back dining room with a nice large window to the patio and comfy half booths. Our Server, Braxton and his colleagues were SO AMAZING! All of our questions were answered and they didn't judge how many apps we ordered LOL! No pics but the Fried Green Tomatoes, Onion Rings, Philly Steak and Cheese Eggrolls and Loaded Deviled Eggs were ALL divinely delicious! Our entrees were the Hawaiian Pork Bowl, Bourbon and Coke Meatloaf, Chicken and Waffles and Chopped Steak. So many options that were each unique and executed perfectly! At this point we aren't about to let Dessert pass us by! My son and I ordered the Blue Lagoon Bread Pudding (in honor of Shark Week), others in our party had the Strawberry Rhubarb Pie and Carrot Cake. The most exquisite ending to our meal. I can't leave this review without commenting on our drinks! I was the one non-beer drinker but found the Paladin Sangria to be hands down the BEST Sangria anywhere in town! Everyone else enjoyed their Specialty Beers as well! This spot definitely lives up to the hype! We will definitely return!
