Friend gave it as a gift. Never heard of this place before and found via Yelp it's quite well known in SF. Rich and smooth (but bit too sweet for me) chocolatey fudge. After a few bites I'm done so definitely need to spread out in few sittings!

The dark side - dark chocolate fudge
Sydney J.

I have passed by Z Cioccolato's shop in North Beach, but I actually ended up buying from them when I saw them tabling at the Castro Night Market. They allowed two samples, so I sampled their dark side which is a dark chocolate fudge, and salty little thing which is dark sea salt caramel. I liked both, the dark chocolate is very chocolate-y and would be great for a chocolate lover, but decided to go for the salty little thing because it tastes more like a salted caramel brownie and I like that it's both sweet and salty. The fudge is super dense and rich and I was able to make it last for over a week eating a little at a time each day. It was $14, but I understand fudge is probably not cheap in general.

Sweetest staff and chocolates and more! Hot chocolate was good, popcorn was tasty and all their fudge is made in house.

Dear Yelp Community, First time visiting. Fun shop in the middle of North Beach. I enjoyed the fudge. Well wishes. Sincerely, Anna

The guy there is so patient and kind!! Even if there's a line behind you, he is open to letting you try as many fudge options as you'd like. And when he found out it was my friends birthday, he gave her a nice discount. Amazing person and amazing shop!!

Thank you Carlos for the free samples and giving our friend a bday gift. I want to come back and get some taffy! so many fun flavors. I tried the ube be baby fudge and the chocolate salted caramel one I think. The ube one was so good!!

Oh my,what a gem! I love fudge so it was just meant to be...after we had dinner we walked by this cute store and the aroma of the caramel popcorn attracted our senses and we had Togo in, and were we glad we did, Eric was so sweet and what great personality too, we had several tasting before deciding to choose 4 flavors. We even tried the tomato, basil, ricotta fudge it was unique, but we opted to get 4 other flavors. The store is my dream store I could have stayed hours, but sadly we made our selection and left, but we will be back.

Z. Cioccolato offered a create your own fudge contest and I selected the following flavors: maple fudge as the base, layered with café latte fudge, caramel with sea salt, and Heath crumble, topped with Heath crumble pieces and a caramel drizzle. The result? Absolutely the best fudge ever tasted. Every layer works together perfectly and the caramel drizzle on top is just everything. But that's no surprise -- all of Z. Cioccolato's fudge is amazing and they outdid themselves once again. This was the second time participating in their create your own fudge contest and it will definitely not be the last.

We got to meet the chef. He talked about the awards he's won in competition and the shows he's been on. I got the PB fudge and excited to try it! The inside is what you'd expect from an old fashioned candy shop!

Best fudge is SF

So you know that tubby kid you used to see at the candy store. Well, more than likely that was me! Was in the neighborhood and if you're not aware, best fudge ever! Decided to get the 7 layer today and took one bite. Sugar rush for 1 hour then crashed out. That now that's what I call a perfect Sunday. This place has everything your heart desires (as a child). And yes, the snazzberries taste like snazzberries!

The people here are so friendly, there is a wide variety of treats, and you get to share your opinions freely. Coming into this space, you get a sense of love and kindness. Customer service is top notch, and forward-thinking. Yay! The taffy and fudge are to die, but be warned. You're going to be tempted by all the unique flavors, so you'll probably buy too much. Ha! Not a bad problem to have. Rest assured they have something for everyone who inherited the sweet tooth.

the staff there were super welcoming, we tried a few different flavors before we landed on bday cake and smor-gasboard fudge, and we got free caramel corn as well!

He's a great teacher, a fun person and was full of energy and kept the program moving. It was 1AM in Madrid and you would never know it from his abundant energy, fun personality and professional teaching skills. His camera angles showed us each step and he kept the show at a high, entertaining level. We were all VERY impressed. Our Cooking Event was a complete success! Thank you, Debbie, Chef Carlos and everyone at Cozymeal!!! I'm so glad I found YOU, Chef Carlos and Cozymeal and we were able to share this experience with my colleagues. That is not what happened. There was essentially no hands-on cooking. My wife and I repeatedly asked how we could help, and the only participation we were given was washing lettuce and chopping a small amount of pepper. There was no meaningful instruction, no real teaching, and very little engagement. The ingredients were also very disappointing for the price. Store-bought tortilla chips were used despite the menu advertising homemade chips. The carne asada was supposed to include chimichurri, but it was seasoned with store-bought seasoning from a jar and no actual chimichurri was prepared. I contacted Cozymeal immediately with detailed feedback. After delays, they refused to refund the booking and offered only a 15% gift card toward another Cozymeal experience, which is useless because I would never use them again. This was an awful experience and Cozymeal did not stand behind it. I would strongly recommend avoiding this platform.

If you are a parent, then you know that to get your kids to follow directions is like herding cats, you end up exasperated, and this is why it was so great to get the professionals involved. Upon arrival, Vanessa, the head chef, put us at ease. Most importantly, she was so effective with kids in terms of getting them involved and engaged. My daughter elected to make pizza and the kids actually got to knead the dough with a rolling pin!! Vanessa's staff are also top notch who was super helpful assisting us set up our adult area. They also worked well helping us transition from one phase (ie making pizza) to another (ie eating pizza but doing a quick cleanup in between bc there was flour everywhere! :) We rented out the front room and the parklet but the parents all wanted to see their kids in action so we didn't use the parklet at all. It was a glorious day and you can clearly see Alcatraz from street level, so the location is nice as well. Pls keep in mind that it is a heavily touristed area, so we had random people chilling out in the parklet. It's an area that is difficult to patrol given all staff attention was given to ensure the kids had a wonderful and safe time. Overall, I would recommend culinary artistas without any reservation. If you are a busy parent and want a memorable party for your kid, pls get in touch with them. Other parents who attended the party all expressed how well run they thought the party was, and how much fun it was. They also expressed that they will be considering them for their kids' next bday parties.

And the instruction was clear and judgment-free. They took care to make sure everyone felt comfortable with the steps and never hesitated to answer questions/repeat instructions. They threw in some unexpected steps too - such as kneading the udon dough through dancing to disco music! Overall, a pleasant and memorable experience.

I had to email him that we were waiting for him to start the zoom. I let this slide the first time because things happen. But when we had a second meeting with him he was 15 minutes late AGAIN with no heads up and I had to email him again that we were waiting for him to start the zoom. He tried to shrug it off and made the excuse that things run late. At this stage we still had questions about the proposal that he really only half answered. We were really confused with the proposal. He explained to us they work by estimating the cost of all the components of your event and that's what you pay them plus an exorbitant fee. Like if we're paying $4K for lounge furniture, they won't give you details on what exactly you're getting before you pay them. After we asked for an updated proposal with our asks, he emailed back that our date was booked and they couldn't help with our event. The audacity. (Mind you, we were about to shell out $20K for a 40 person picnic for 4 hours.) He gave us zero warning or heads up that our date could have been booked or was not on hold for us. This was a huge waste of time and left us back at square one with only 3 weeks left to plan our company event. The way Luis have conducted himself was extremely unprofessional. I would expect for someone who is the founder of the company to have sound business practices and better client management skills.

Tonight, I stopped by with my girlfriend and we shared a banana split. The ice cream itself was amazing, as usual, but unfortunately the service was one of the worst experiences I've had here. When ordering, I asked the cashier, Alex, whether chocolate sauce came on the sundae. The response I received felt belittling, as though I had asked a ridiculous question. His tone and demeanor came across as annoyed rather than helpful. I later brought the interaction to the attention of the supervisor, Andrew, hoping the situation could simply be clarified. Unfortunately, his response also came across as irritated and dismissive. I explained that I had specifically asked whether chocolate sauce came on the sundae, and when I asked for some to be added, I was told that it was already on there. After eating the sundae, I did not notice any chocolate sauce. Whether it had been added or not was honestly less important to me than the way the situation was handled. Something as simple as asking for chocolate sauce should not feel like an argument or an inconvenience. The one redeeming part of the service was Jose. He came over to our table, politely asked if we were enjoying the ice cream, and happily cleaned our table. His demeanor was genuinely kind, welcoming, and professional, and it was greatly appreciated. The banana split was excellent, and the quality of the ice cream is still something I would recommend. However, based on tonight's interaction with the cashier and supervisor, the customer service was extremely disappointing, especially considering how many years I've been coming here.
