One of the best chocolate places in the Bay Area. So many delicious top tier varieties of chocolate. Great quality and a little pricey, but worth it. I love the thick European hot chocolate! Try it. There is an entirely pleasant Bloom Room with comfy seats and homemade marshmallows. The service is knowledgeable and friendly. They sell quality chocolate products and know it. Try booking room on the tour if you want to dive more into chocolate lore.

This location is wonderful! I would love to do the factory tour one day, but for now, I am content to sit in their wondrous indoor dining area. How do I describe it? It's glass-walled, large windows, cool lighting, and plush seating. It's great for meetings! I love the Frozen chocolate, their house made marshmallows, hot chocolate, mocha, and more. They also host some cool 1-day fairs, showcasing local artisans and other chocolatiers! Service is always great. I love coming here for gifts.

Greta spot for chocolate lovers! I would pass on the chocolate drinks and opt for water and pair it with their yummy pastries. The chocolate orange pastry was especially delicious. It wasn't overly rich and the slight citrus flavor provides a refreshing bite. There's comfortable seating and even WiFi, lots of people were on their laptops working!

My friend and I came here to take the Chocolate Factory tour and we learned a lot! Walking into any Dandelion Chocolate location you are immediately hit with the smell of freshly roasted cocoa beans. Our tour guide walked us through the entire production line, from sourcing the raw cacao pulp all the way to the finished chocolate bars. Along the way, we got to taste plenty of samples! The tour wrapped up with a choice of hot or cold cocoa from their café. It was the perfect way to enjoy the flavors one last time. Then we shopped in their cafe for to-go items! At $20 a person, it's a delicious, immersive experience that any chocolate lover should try once. Note, we went on a day where the factory was not in operation, but it meant that we could hear our tour guide well. (Head's up: Yes you will need to wear a hairnet on the tour!)

Visiting the city again, on a cold foggy morning, we just had to come here for some great chocolate! And we were not disappointed! Stepping in from the dreary outside of the Mission to this classy place was like a Hollywood movie - smart, hip and clean! First impressions checked off! The sit-down menu printed in small font was posted by the order register, but their main menu board up on the corner was easy to read and well-organized. We ordered the spicy Mission Hot Chocolate and the House Mocha. Whoa! Talk about smooth and decadent! The Mission was a dark hot chocolate with a punchy spicy kick that really set off my saliva glands! But the hot spice was not just for kicks, rather it blended so well with the chocolate that it seems so natural together. The House Mocha was a hot chocolate with a double shot of espresso. Wow! We ordered it with an extra marshmallow on top, and that sweetness sets up a rich, chocolate flavor, followed by the beautifully strong espresso kick. Surprising and delicious! We also ordered some breakfast items - the Overnight Oats and Babka French Toast - both naturally delicious. And this means that they are not overly sweet, which may turn off some people expecting sugar, sugar, sugar. I like the clean taste of all of the fresh ingredients, and it harkens back to the simpler times of yesteryear. So refreshing! Check out the assortment of chocolate bars across the lobby. There some really interesting and unique chocolates from around the world that you may not find anywhere else in the Bay Area. There is even a generous offerings of free samples across a long shelf. Definitely check them out! Finally, I really appreciate the staff. They were all friendly and their dedication really shows. As we were eating, a staff member came by to ask if we received our full order. Another came through the eating area asking everyone if they were the owners of a stray dog outside. Caring people is a rarity now days, and it is heartening to see in this day in time.

Whenever I'm in the area, I always stop by to sample some dark chocolate and order my favorite frozen hot chocolate! It's somehow rich and refreshing at the same time. The mini cookie the drinks come with is also delicious. Dandelion is a perfect place to shop for gifts for yourself or friends and family. I highly recommend the hojicha hot chocolate mix, the gâteau, and their chocolate covered Japanese citrus collection! They're seasonal items and a bit pricey but absolutely worth it.

This is my favorite location, not too packed and nice seating. I've enjoyed the tour here before and time and time again I have to get the frozen hot chocolate. I've had the house hot chocolate it's thick, decadent, and rich the house made marshmallows are a must. Love that every drink comes with a biscuit. The cake was rich and delicious, I'm personally not a fan of the round sprinkles they're too crunchy and take away from the cake. The s'mores dessert is torched right in front of you if you want a fun show.

I love coming to this location to enjoy an afternoon in the beautiful sitting area. The mirrors and metallic finishes makes it feel upscale as you enjoy your fancy chocolate. I always get the smores and some kind of hot chocolate. This time I tried the special hojicha chocolate, not too sweet but perfect with the addition of a couple of their (free!) house-made marshmallows and cookie on the side. One day I'll come back to go on the factory tour.

    What is a timbale?
    Sally Y.

I learned that a lot of chocolates sold in supermarkets have bad ingredients, so knowing that there's Dandelion reassures the chocolate lover in me that quality chocolates can be found in the city! My niece bought the pistachio praline cake and it is tdf: densely moist chocolate cake layered with praline ganache, pistachio buttercream and crunchy praline pistacio on top. She also gave me a pumpkin pie timbale, encased in a ribboned gift box, along with a card describing its origin. Across from the SF SPCA, this shop has a cafe and even holds chocolate making classes - a great place to buy exceptional chocolates as presents!

If you want THEE most decadent thicccc sipping hot chocolate in all of the Bay Area, Dandelion Chocolate is the absolute undisputed winner. If you've ever had hot chocolate in France or Italy and miss it, it's here. No need to get on plane. Their European Drinking Hot Chocolate is so rich and indulgent I almost wish I could bathe in it as a final dying wish. Their house made marshmallows are what marshmallows at the store should be like! Together the thick sipping hot chocolate and the house made marshmallows are a beautiful combination of tasting pleasure. They make their single origin chocolates in house here at the factory location. I have actually gone on their factory tour thanks to a surprise-just-because-gift from my partner. It made me fall more in love with Dandelion Chocolate's products and café items. The Bloom café at this location is also sunny and airy with glazing surrounding two sides of the room. Many people seem to be studying or quietly wfh here which is cool! They even offer both complimentary still and sparkling water if you've enjoyed too much chocolate decadence to clear that mouthfeel.

Tried the chocolate tasting experience. There was cacao sourced from Columbia, Tanzania, Dominican Republic. The class covered basics on how to eat chocolate and tasting of common elements found in chocolate. Very informative of you like to learn in theory about how chocolate is made. It's about 1 hour or more ish. Tried this as a group activity.

This location is so spacious and clean feeling! The entrance is lined with good quality chocolates to try as you wait in line too. The menu had so many different pastries, drinks, and ice creams! I ordered the cacao smoothie ($8), which was so delicious! The smoothie was made from the fruit of cacao which was perfectly sweet! The flavor reminds me of soursop a bit. It was so refreshing and had the perfect consistency. I also tried the mocha, which had such a rich chocolate flavor - the best part of a mocha. Definitely want to come back for the pastries or the horchata! I also love how each drink comes with a small cookie!

I really like that you can choose exactly how many of each flavor you want in your box. I didn't realize that before, but it's a great option because you could literally get one of everything if you wanted to try them all. I chose orange, citron/lemon, caramel, earl grey, espresso, raspberry, and hazelnut. There was also a vegan raspberry option since the regular raspberry had sold out for the day, and honestly you couldn't tell the difference. It was delicious. I also tried the lemon in store, and the raspberry was my favorite. One small thing is that once they're bagged up, it can be a little hard to tell which flavor is which since they look pretty similar on the outside. Not a big deal, just something to keep in mind if you're trying to remember what's what. The owner mentioned he's had the shop for 30 years, which you can feel when you're in there. He took the time to neatly tie up the box and even gave me two complimentary pieces. The shop itself is tiny and charming with a good variety of flavors.
