A little bake shop with some big taste! Everything looks so amazing, it's hard to choose what to try. Thankfully there are many great options, so you can't go wrong. Ham & Cheese Croissant: Perfect for when you want a savory breakfast treat. The first noticeable aspect is all the melted cheese crust on top, for a great umami and crispy layer. Inside, even more cheese, this is a gooier texture. Plus some thick rolled ham. Feels like a meal! Raspberry Roll: Such a fun spin on the cinnamon roll. The fruit cream on top is so eye catching! Much more indulgent than a typical cinnamon roll glaze. Inside, there's bits of raspberries baked along the rolled dough. Blueberry Roll: I think I actually prefer this one over the raspberry roll. Got a gooey flavor profile, like a blueberry muffin, without the tart tang of a raspberry. I could seriously see myself picking this over a cinnamon roll. Flan: Feels a bit bougier than regular flan, since it's encased in a flaky golden crust. Jiggly and eggy, with just the right sweetness. Though I did miss all the wet brown sauce that's found in regular flan. Coconut Mango Passion Fruit Entremet: Really enjoyed how there was so much going on with this! There was the gem-like super sweet fruit gel on top for a nice pop of flavor. Another layer of coconut cream, to really set the tropical vibe. Some fluffy cake and lots of oozing passionfruit. I'm a big fan of fruit desserts, so loved this. Quiche Lorraine: Loved how this was more creamy than eggy, meaning they got it right. Found it interesting that all the ham bits were towards the bottom, so the top was smooth. So rich, I had to eat this in different sessions. Baked Egg Croissant: Pretty much a complete breakfast with egg, cheese and croissant. Savory and filling. Though I think I preferred the Ham & Cheese Croissant, since ham makes everything better. Chocolate Éclair: Small, but mighty. A very rich and dense layer of chocolate ganache filling inside a light choux cylinder. Loved the creaminess. Brisket Chausson: Kinda like an empanada, but with a much flakier dough. The brisket was rich and meaty. Though had a bit of a pinkish color. Veggie Croissant: Looks like a savory danish. Loved the hefty amount of cheese and the partially cooked tomatoes. Royal: Really nice layered chocolate cake. There was some sort of ganache on the outside and nice crunchy praline like layer inside under the dense cake. Quite sophisticated combo of textures and flavors.

Newly opened spot featuring scratch-made pastries, cakes, sandwiches, salads and soups. Great addition to Embarcadero Center for a quick lunch to pick up and eat at the outdoor tables or back at your office. I ordered the pastrami sandwich which he warned me may be salty to some but to my surprise, it was just right for me. Most places, the pastrami is just too salty. There were so many treats I wanted to pick up but for today just got the Spinach & Feta croissant for a late afternoon snack and vanilla flan for my daughter. Will report back after we've tested these.

stopped by Boho Petite yesterday and i'm already planning my next visit!! this cute little grab and go spot is close to my work which is dangerous! i was walking by and saw so many pretty pastries and the Madagascar vanilla flan caught my eye. It's more like a pie with a buttery crust and not overly sweet which is exactly how i like my desserts. the packaging alone made it feel special Malcolm, the co-owner, was incredibly friendly and welcoming. he took time to chat with me about the shop and mentioned they have a flagship location in the Marina. you can tell he has serious culinary experience and is passionate about what he does. everything is baked fresh every morning which is a plus. i already have my eye on the blueberry roll for next time and a huge chocolate chip cookie that was only $4! can't wait to go back and work my way through the menu!!

It ended up taking us over two hours to get our pastries, and by the time we reached the front, some items had already sold out. This time, we decided to arrive right when the line opened at 7:45am on a Friday. Personally, I'd rather get there early, wait a little over an hour, and have the first pick of pastries than arrive later, wait even longer, and risk missing out on items. We were the third party in line and placed our order around 9:05am. By 9:15am, we had our pastries and drinks. After our first visit, I wasn't completely convinced the wait was worth it. The pastries were good, but the long line and wait time didn't feel justified. This visit, however, may have changed my mind. We ordered: * Madame Lorraine * Chorizo & Tot Croquiche * Morty P * Strawberry Vanilla Bean Bun * Pistachio Cardamom Sugar Croissant * Rocky Road Double Chocolate Cookie * Classic Croissant We also got two drinks: the S'mores Mocha and the Cherry Vanilla Almond Cappuccino. Don't skip their drinks, their specialty coffees are just as creative as their pastries. I really appreciate their rotating menu. Their pastries are always so creative, and I love that they experiment with unique flavor combinations that you don't typically see at a bakery. Some items are definitely more memorable than others, but I enjoy that there's always something new to try. Their pastries are well executed. The croissants are flaky and buttery. This visit, my personal favorite was the Chorizo & Tot Croquiche. Overall, this visit was a much better experience than my first. If you're willing to wait in line, I think it's worth checking out. Otherwise, you can always try your luck with their Hotplate presale.

This is my favorite cake shop in the area and should be the bar for cakes everywhere…read more The buttercream on the cake is the best. It's soooooooooooooooo smooth and buttery. I would eat the cream by itself if they sold it that way. Good thing I don't live nearby. I saw one review say that some of their chocolate flavor or cookie flavors weren't as good, which I understand. I had a cookie cake and didn't taste the smooth, buttery taste I was looking for. I highly recommend cakes that let their vanilla frosting shine without mixing too many flavors. Flavors: - Raspberry & lychee was amazing - Key lime was a little too tart for my tastes, but I still loved the buttercream - Cookie was just ok

A cousin has brought over cakes from Butter& on numerous occasions, and they've been a hit each time. Beautifully crafted with the outside layers so you can see both the cake and frosting layers. I absolutely love the unique-esque of flavors here. The first cake I tried from Butter& was their brown butter lemon cake. It was a bit too sweet for my liking, but love the sound of that flavor combination. It was great texturally. The second one I tried was their lychee raspberry. Wow, they really get that lychee flavor super well there! Very impressed. This one was more to my liking, and it was as equally as beautiful as the first one. Disclaimer that I haven't been to the actual store, but heard great things re service and the atmosphere. I bet it smells amazing in there. Someday I'll make a visit, but for now, keep the cakes coming! YUM!

It was easy to…read moreorder the tasting, easy to order the actual cake, and even easier to show up to our event with the cake already delivered. Every single asian female at my wedding said it was "Not to sweet!" which is THE highest compliment one could give a dessert. So many people came up to us saying "this is the first wedding cake I've ever liked" or "I don't like cake at all but what an interesting flavor combo." I had a crazy idea at one point to bake my own cake, but I am SO GLAD that everyone talked me out of it because I could never bake a cake as delicious as Liz and if I had done it, I would've never gotten to meet this incredible artist.

I actually found this place from Michelle aka @sfcheatdays, as she posted the cake for her bday! Ordering online was quick and easy and Liz will confirm your order within the next 24 hours. Once my order was confirmed, she included her address and very detailed description of where to stop on her busy street in SF. I actually had to make a change in pickup date and time and Liz was very accommodating! I had requested silver font instead of gold and she was very detail oriented asking if I wanted the topper to be coated in silver as well, since it was usually coated in gold. I appreciate she took the time to ask vs. just doing silver font and gold coating. Pickup was so easy, even though it was a busy day. She dropped off the cake on the floor of my front seat to make sure it was stable as well. Onto the taste of the cake! I ordered the Earl grey with brown sugar icing and it was soooo good! Tasted like a boba milk tea hehe! You need to take the cake out of the fridge at least 2 hours in advance of serving and we did just that. The cake was still a little chilled but so moist and fresh! We were so full after our dinner so we had so much cake left. We followed the instructions to wrap in Saran Wrap and we had delicious cake the next couple days! Also I'm so happy to be supporting an Asian AND woman-owned business in the Bay Area! I highly recommend Liz and her cakes and her customer service is on point! So glad I stumbled across her and can't wait to order more cakes from her in the future!!
