Met Toby the owner, a very genuine person, and clearly a baker (and chef) that takes great care in his craft. He went above and beyond to accommodate us, he even made a quick delivery to us when he got a break in the action. He only uses the freshest ingredients, and what's seasonal. Bought one of the custard ones to save for later and when the time came...took one bite (which was soft and pleasantly full of custard), looked down and there was a hair embedded in the dough. While I'm at it, I chose the 4-piece variety of Turkish delights, so that I shared with not just my parents and brother, but also my daughter who backed out after having one bite. Turkish delights will always have variety of sweet, milky, nutty, and floral flavors; still too sweet TBH, but paired well with the tea. I had a Gobbler for lunch, a sandwich complete with cranberry sauce, and ordered a variety of pastries for the evening and the plane ride home the next day! While it was all amazing, the summer hand pie was probably my favorite. I went back to grab some wrapped pastries right around the time they were closing and the staff were so kind!
