Came was light and fluffy! Fast service and the lady packed the cake well for us. They also have individual crepes cake if you want but they didnt a whole one when we got there and only 3 whole cakes left.

spend a miminum of $6 if you want to pay by credit card. Sausage/hotdog scallions bun- a little soggy the next day but pretty good 3.5/5 stars Blueberry mousse cake- this was okay, subtle blueberry flavor, firm cake bottom. 3/5 stars

I stopped by to take out a quick dessert. Carrot butter toast bread was delicious. I cannot believe that bread had carrot in it. I finished the whole package in a single sitting. Sesame crepe cake was also delicious.

We came to here after grabbing lunch from rice roll express (same street only a few steps away) so we only got one thing. We got the mochi cheese balls and they were delicious! The texture was fun and they were very easy to eat. Not overly cheesy and had a hint of sweetness. Walked right in no long lines..very cute inside..reminded me of an 85 bakery

A small bakery located in Chinatown that I haven't been to in years, but I decided to stop by since a lot of people raved about their crepe cakes. I arrived right before closing time and noticed that they still had a lot of pastries left. I did a quick browse and only ended up getting what I came in for, which was their Black Sesame Crepe Cake. I really like anything black sesame so of course went with that vs. their durian flavor. I was really impressed with the presentation of the cake since I'm sure takes a lot of time and effort to make. I unfortunately couldn't really taste the black sesame and didn't really like the aftertaste either. I realized that it tastes really similar to the Chinese cakes that I used to eat, which makes sense since it is made from a Chinese bakery. I'll probably skip their crepe cakes given the price ($8.50 per slice) and also the taste of it. But, I'll probably come back to pick up some of their pastries since you can't go wrong with those.

Very lovely but smallish bakery in the middle of Chinatown. They have some very tasty gourmet (crepe) cakes and pastries. I also love their little swan logo and name. Cute! Located on Stockton St and Broadway. Very hard to find parking here. We mostly walk.

Japanese sweet potato bread and the savory green onion shallot roll

Little Swan has a great selection of cakes and breads! We got the Japanese sweet potato bread which has purple sweet potato inside the light pull-apart bread. I wish the sweet potato flavor was stronger, but the bread itself was so nice! The savory roll stole the show! I had never had a roll with green onion and shallots-- the savory elements added with the light roll cake and cream. A definite must-get item that's great for people who don't want anything too sweet and prefer savory things!

Ordered a Black Sesame Mille Cake, Blueberry Mousse, and a green onion roll cake. Of the three, I think the Blueberry Mousse Cake was the best: the blueberries that they used were huge, and the sauce was sweet and delectable. I was not a big fan of the Black Sesame Mille Cake because the flavor was really light. The onion roll cake was slightly savory and tasted like other roll cake of this type that I have had before. The service was fast, and the ambiance nothing exciting.

I picked up an assortment of breads while I was in Chinatown and I really appreciated that this store took credit card, which can be a rarity in this part of town. Overall, I wouldn't say anything blew me away (note: I didn't try any of the cakes, which most of the other reviews are for), but there were definitely some solid bites. Egg Tart (3.5/5): A standard egg tart, not my favorite I've ever had given all the fresh options in the area, but would hit the spot if you were craving it. Custard is very egg forward and the crust was flaky enough. Mini-Red Bean Loaf (4/5): Super generous with the red bean and the bread itself was buttery and soft. Pork Floss and Scallion Roll Cake (4.25/5): A surprising hit - great balance of being a sweet with savory notes from the pork floss and scallions. The cake itself was moist and definitely would be one of my regular pickups.

I'm always hunting for spots like this because I have a weakness for those over-the-top, Instagram-worthy desserts that look like diabetes in a dish. Like most places in this genre, A Buttercup is small, modern, and minimalist with limited seating. If you plan to go, aim for off-hours unless you enjoy waiting in line for sugar. The decor is cute and trendy, perfect for photos if that's part of your dessert ritual. As they say, "you eat with your eyes first," and when it comes to presentation, this place definitely gets an A+. The desserts look stunning and set high expectations. Unfortunately, that's where things started to crumble. It's like going to see your favorite artist live. You've watched the videos, memorized the songs, and paid for the experience. But instead of the electric performance you imagined, you get someone lip-syncing and barely connecting with the crowd. That was this place in dessert form. We ordered the Mango Bingsoo on our first visit, and when it arrived, we were surprised by how small the portion was. The guy next to us even looked over and said, "Whatever that is, I'm getting that next time." He shouldn't have. The Bingsoo looked great but was bland, and the "snow" was more chunky ice than soft shave. The Thai Tea Roti was also not what I expected. It came with Thai tea ice cream and sauce alongside a roti that was fried to a crunch. Interesting idea, just not the best execution. The sauce and ice cream needed a stronger Thai tea flavor to balance the crispy roti, and the flavors never quite came together. Overall, A Buttercup nails the aesthetics but misses the flavor. If you're here for the photos, you'll be happy. If you're here for the taste, you'll leave with a full camera roll and an unsatisfied sweet tooth.

And the matcha ice cream barely tasted like matcha. There isn't much decor to speak of, it's a store front only and no interior. And the sign for "reasons we don't give samples" is funny but feels excessive. I still thoroughly enjoyed it though and will likely come again.

I'm told on the weekends it gets super busy thanks to their menu of chocolate infused everything including coffees and teas. There are also free samples of everything, and the servers can help you with questions. They even have little tasting sheets for notes if you want to get serious and remember for future visits. They have a few tables and bar seating at the front, with more bar seating along the back right leading to the clean restrooms. Here you'll also find educational displays about chocolate and viewing windows to the roasting and processing rooms. Even though it was afternoon, it was so much fun to order things with caffeine just for the sheer joy of it. We had the chocolate milk, I had a chocolate infused black tea, we shared a special new bar, and were given their signature tiny cookies. Prices are reasonable for the quality, both the drinks and the bar. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, they clearly love the place as much as we do.

The americano was nicely mixed to begin with and paired well with the creamy, slightly sweet and slightly salty matcha cream without compromising the matcha bitterness.
