I've had this place bookmarked for quite some time, and I've been looking for a place that serves great tamales. This is a small bakery that opens early, and was busy with a steady stream of customers, which I took as a sign that this place was good. Most were getting pastries and bread (which you help yourself to and place on a tray & pay at register), but some were also ordering tamales. They also serve smoothies! Ordered two and a half dozen tamales (18 cheese and a dozen pork) but when we got home realized that all the tamales looked alike; as none were marked or separated; and we were given chicken instead of pork. Once reheated, the tamales tasted amazing. We also got a dozen mini conchas at 70c each. Pretty affordable and tasty. The tamales were $35/dozen. Will be back again!

Came to try the tamales and glad I did! The pork tamales are very close to the way my mom makes them, very delicious! The masa tends to break apart, but other than that they're yummy! The parking lot is small, so go before lunch time to avoid it being full. I haven't tried the Mexican bread yet, but I'll have to try it next time.

Everything I have tried here is delicious. It's a little overpriced but it's definitely authentic. I come here for the bolios and pan dulce.

I like red meat tamales , cheese too spicy for me. Fast service. I only buy the tamales but they have bread and pastries. Price reasonable.

I love eating tamales and bread from this bakery. Usually come here whenever I'm craving tamales, the champurrado is also really good.

uncle fluffy... more like daddy fluf--…read more ...*ahem* my bad. Uncle Fluffy has been on my list for like a gajillion years not even joking. my mother is a cheesecake fanatic.... and also an almond mom. so japanese cheesecake is that woman's dream: lighter, less dense, and less sweet than american cheesecakes (the higher protein content from fluffed egg whites also means u could make ur fellow gymbro into "making up" the calories too) the regular cheesecake was yum and the texture was divine: basically if you imagined a fluffy soufflé pancake and cheesecake had a baby. it didn't wow me though, especially since i love things on the sweeter side and it definitely wasn't. for a tiny $11 dessert, it didn't taste like i was indulging in a dirty little sweet treat. so i'll stick w my dense caloric diabetic cheesecakes from the freezer isle at vons. BUT TO EACH THEIR OWN! my mom ATE THAT UNC UPPPPP. she ADORED the cheesecake. also service was quick and sweet. uncle fluffy def has daddy potential xoxo ;P

In practicing self-control, I did a 4 pack cupcake at $21. I picked dulce de leche tres leches, carrot cake, chocolate salted caramel, cookie butter tres leches. They all tasted the way they were described to be. Dulce de leche tres leches was my favorite. Marshmallow fluff in the frosting for the carrot cake was surprisingly addiciting to me. I wanted more of it. Overall, the cakes were moist, and the frosting fluffy, airy and not too sweet (which is a compliment). I love that there's a decent assortment of flavors to choose from. I'll definitely be back again to try more flavors.

We drove an hour and a half out to try these cupcakes and I was truly saddened and disappointed with the outcome. The cupcakes are so beautiful, however quality didn't reflect the same thing and I'm so sad to say that. The cupcakes were dry, especially the tres leches cupcakes. We were expecting it to be more moist but it wasn't. All the cupcakes have the same whipped buttercream like frosting, which is unfortunate because that kind of frosting doesn't go with all flavor cakes. The frosting is definitely heavy handed and some had to be tossed because it was just too much. Give them a try for yourself, everyone has different taste. Unfortunately this was not for us.

Honestly, the line is mainly due to the customers taking their sweet time while ordering. You might have a hard time finding a table to sit at inside, but they also have outside seating. Price-wise you'll probably spend around $15-$20 per person. I highly recommend their grilled chicken sandwhich. It comes with grilled chicken, lettuce and tomato, all on a toasted sourdough bread covered with pesto and cheese. For the side I typically get the Italian pasta salad, which is always delicious. One thing about this sandwhich is that the chicken will never cover the entire bread and it will never be distributed evenly. So you will always have one half that has less chicken and ends up being part veggie pesto sandwhich, which is still worth it. The other favorite is a turkey club sandwhich on a croissant. It's basic, but also very tasty. They also carry a variety of pastries and serve Klatch coffee (brewed coffee) if you need a sweet treat afterward.

Definitely 5 stars for the breakfast Atmosphere inside is very welcoming and cute nothing fancy just an old school feel which I like Customer service 5 stars for sure. Employees have been friendly each time and they bring out food to you on the patio. Unfortunately the location is increasingly a problem at least while sitting outside. Lots of homeless people around some on drugs and some unstable. Last time I was there a homeless man threw an orange at someone who was eating next to me for no reason at all. It's not the first time something happens that feels unsafe and although there's not much the restaurant can do about it it does affect the ambience
