Love Yuzu! It's become my go-to sushi place as they are super efficient and the taste of their items is top notch. The service is great, shoutout to Ana for always being soo nice. Some of my go-to favorites include the Spicy Tuna on Crispy Rice (2-pcs) and the Nigiri Sushi with Tuna Roll. This includes both Miso soup and salad so it's a great deal.

I was so excited to try this place being that I just moved next door. My overall issue was the customer service. I felt like I didn't belong. Every interaction I had with a server was very short. I felt like I was a nuisance. At first I thought maybe I was being a little sensitive but after observing customers who clearly frequent there get huge smiles and warm greetings I realized a pattern. I watched my food sit for a while until it was brought out after tables around me got theirs. Maybe it was an off day but definitely not a good impression. The interior is nothing special still quaint little place for sushi. I didn't order much but what I ordered was good. The only thing is the sauce that comes with the gyoza was salty. The M-80 roll I believe was fantastic. I would go back just for that!

The place is nice clean everything looks fresh it's ok as far as taste I didn't like the fact they charge two dollars extra for shrimp fried rice only to get two pieces of shrimp I guess it's a dollar a shrimp I might go back one day but I'm not running to get it just ok for me

tonight was my second time at yuzu (my first time was last week i can't get enough) it's really great value sushi, great prices and the fish is decent quality. it's not the highest quality i've ever had, but this is definitely a new go-to spot! it's easy to get a table & they offer fast service customer service is great, very friendly staff and my server tonight recognized me from my last visit, and gave some recommendations based on my preferences. super quaint spot with great vibes (clean, light music, nice bathrooms)! its a little more casual than a romantic date night but my boyfriend and i really enjoyed ourselves and were able to talk to and hear on another easily. I have tried the following menu items & here are my ratings :) Yellowtail Delight 12/10 Green Spicy Tuna 9/10 Salmon & Yellowtail Nigiri 7/10 Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice 10/10 Beef Gyoza 12/10 Miso Soup 7/10 my server said her favorite rolls are the Alaskan Roll & the Shrimp Killer 2 - so those are on my list for next time! you should give this place some of your business, i don't think you will regret it!

My overall visit to Yuzu Sushi was great. The location is easy to find with a parking lot available. The interior was clean and overall a nice ambiance. I ordered a salmon sushi dish, which tasted amazing. You can definitely notice the great quality of the food. I can't wait to try other items on the menu! The service was okay.

Visit Yuzu on Friday and it was AMAZING!! so far the best sushi i've had in atlanta! everything tasted very fresh! not too many people and overall just a solid sushi spot!

Love this roll! I recommend if you enjoy fresh, raw fish. I paired it with Miso Soup and Seaweed.

This place was just okay to me. The seaweed salad wasn't super fresh and when I tried one of friends roll (can't remember what they ordered), it had a fishy taste to it which implies it also wasn't that fresh. The crunch rainbow roll was pretty good, but tasted like cheddar popcorn lol. So if you like that flavor, you'll like the roll. My tuna tempura w/ Yuzu sauce was fine as well but anything exciting making me want to return tomorrow. This place is conveniently located and has free open parking.

Yuzu sits at the corner of the intersection.

Andrea M.

Yuzu Sushi was okay. It didn't give me the wowing impression I was seeking. Plus with the high prices, I think this place is overrated. There was a good amount of folks coming and going within a couple of hours of them opening. But I think this place is more of a quick sushi sit down spot with high prices. The interior begs to differ, but that's my experience. Hey, not all reviews/experiences are winners. The positive thing I will say is that some of their menu items were quite unique. The B.S.C. (baked scallop over a California roll) was super delicious! The sashimi salad on the other hand was so so. The B.S.C. was unique in that the baby scallops were warm and creamy. The sauce really made a difference as it sat upon a California roll. I guess the creaminess of the scallops really amped up the basic California. This ended up being a hit with me. Though the sashimi salad was interesting. It somehow was just meh to me. There was about 6 (?) sashimi pieces. The garlic ponzu sauce was light, but it was also over a light bed of salad. I guess I somehow expected something else, something more grandeur. This pick just didn't provide the oohs and ahhs. I kind of had high hopes for the 911 roll. It sort of looked and tasted bland imo. Though the 911 sauce was different, the albacore, tuna, crab, salmon, and avocado were so so. If you think about it, these miniature pieces of fish were plain. I guess it falls in line with the "fresh" category but not so much "Yuzu Sushi Special Rolls." How special was it really?! I think the other roll we tried was the double tuna roll. This roll had a lot of frills, and there were lots of textures and flavors to be had. The red onion slices really stuck out in my mind as I'm trying to recall which roll we had. This roll was overall pretty good. I guess the spicy tuna and seared tuna made it more hearty. I get that sushi has their different types: fresh sashimi, plain jane rolls, and unique creations. But for 3 "special" rolls and a sashimi salad, the grand total with tip was around $70. The hubs and I left feeling kind of hungry and not really impressed (flavor/taste). Though it was still early dinner on a Friday, everyone seemed super rushed (like they will run you over if you don't move over fast enough). Maybe that has an affect on the fish's flavoring? Lol.

Plz compare yourself , same price from x Japanese Resturant vs yuzu sushi plate . More variety , bigger cut and more fresh. If you know the difference between Chirashi order vs regular sushi, the cut of sushi is random not professional and most are left over cut from the whole fish. There are many good sushi place even nearby , not worth your stomach there read more

Great sushi place! Atmosphere is very nice. Our waitress was also very friendly. Food was great. We ordered SS2 and it was chefs choice and it was great with tuna, salmon and stuff. We also ordered a fruity sake which was awesome. I just wish that when they see it's more than one person in the group they would bring enough wasabi and soy sauce other than that it was great. read more

I never leave reviews but I just had to leave this review because I wanted to compliment my server on his outstanding service from Saturday night. Our group of friends had a get together/reunion and some of us haven't seen each other in a couple of years so we were hesitant in trying out a brand new sushi restaurant but it had great ratings so we decided to give it a go, and let me say that it was a great decision. The restaurant was full and it seemed like they were short-staffed but Duke who was our server provided us with the best service we could ask for!It was one of my friends first time eating sushi so she had a lot of questions but our server was really patient with us and enthusiastically provided us with great recommendations. He checked up on our table throughout the night to make sure everyone was having a good time on top of tirelessly taking care of several other tables. Everything we ordered was really good and I wish I lived nearby so I can keep coming back. Their nigiri special SS1 was really really fresh. I will recommend this restaurant to all of my Atlanta area friends. read more

SERVICE WAS AWFUL!!! We waited at least ten minutes before we were even greeted at our table. Once the drink order was taken it was at least another 20 minutes before our food order was taken. IT TOOK ALMOST AN HOUR BEFORE OUR FOOD ARRIVED TO THE TABLE! Once the food arrived two of the orders were missing. One order came out almost ten minutes later and they completely just missed making my order. They rushed to making my food but by the time I received it the rest of my party was almost done eating. It was impossible to get any of the servers attention because they were all running around like crazy so I finally got up to go find my own set of chopstick because they did not set the table with enough (even though I had already asked our server for some). The restaurant itself was not over crowded it just seemed as though they were understaffed on a Saturday night!!!The food was decent but not worth the time waisted due to the horrible service. There were no apologies nor compensation for the mistakes. I do NOT recommend this place and we will not be returning. GET IT TOGETHER YUZU!!! read more

I have tried a number of good sushi places in Atlanta in search of super fresh, creative and delicious sushi. I have been to many in my 18 months that were very good but cost a paycheck while leaving me hungry. Yuzu has the freshest fish I have had in a long time and it didn't cost me and arm and leg. The menu is daring, unique and will make me go back for a taste of dishes I wasn't able to try. Only hope is that Yuzu improves the wine selections but the very well written Sake menu makes up for now. I had an amazing bottle of Senigui which paired with the food perfectly. read more

This place is AMAZING! It's brand new and has a large variety of sushi and rolls to choose from. We had three but my favorite was the Salmon Lemon roll. I wasn't sure how I'd feel about the lemon - I've never been a huge fan of fruit in my sushi - but it was incredibly tasty and refreshing! The nigiri was also delicious. The rice was flavored and cooked perfectly. Although we ate a lot, we didn't leave feeling like we'd gained 10lbs - everything was very light. The fish was extremely fresh! The salmon and tuna nigiri melted in your mouth. The scallop was also great. I love when sushi chefs keep it authentic and put the tiny dab of wasabi between the fish and the rice in nigiri. The service was a little slow because they seemed to get a rush when we were there, but our server more than made up for it by bringing me some cold sake to try (which I LOVE). We will 100% be back soon! read more

Ordered house salad & miso soup, oyster tempura, dragon roll, crazy spicy tuna roll and a shrimp tempura roll. Also a Coke Zero that was pre-chilled and served with ice which made it so much better. The 15-course menu was a masterpiece from start to finish. Each piece felt like art -- stunning presentation followed by incredible flavor. Every bite melted in my mouth, and the balance between the rice, the fish, and their special secret sauce was perfection. One of the highlights was the Kimi Oboro, prepared using a 200-year-old vinegar technique -- simply remarkable. My sister loved every dish, even falling in love with the pickled ginger! The service was outstanding as well -- two servers took care of us throughout the evening, always greeting us with genuine smiles and impeccable manners. This was probably the best omakase experience I've ever had -- and I've had over a hundred. I'm so glad my sister's first omakase turned into an unforgettable memory. Like a lot of other omakase places the restaurant was a little hard to find since it's pretty much just a door with a small sign and a couple of windows. The service there was phenomenal and I loved the variety for dishes! We had the 17 course meal for $242/person after taxes and tip, which was a little expensive but seemed fair for Atlanta. We started with some apps and my favorite was the oysters. Then most of the courses were various nigiri and ofc my favorites were the fatty tuna and eel. I also really liked the uni even though I usually don't! The presentation for everything was gorgeous and some of the sushi was pretty unique with the flavor pairings. Dinner ended with a small sorbet as dessert and my mom and I were both stuffed. I'll definitely be back for a special occasion :)

Yuzu Sushi in Atlanta is a gem that I stumbled upon during my recent visit to the city (I travel back and forth between NYC). This restaurant offers an incredible sushi experience that left me impressed. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, with a traditional touch that adds to the overall dining experience. The menu at Yuzu Sushi is diverse and offers a wide range of sushi rolls, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes. The freshness of the ingredients is very evident, and the flavors are very well-balanced. The sushi rolls are nicely presented, showcasing the attention to detail. The service at Yuzu Sushi is attentive and friendly. The staff is knowledgeable about the menu and provides helpful recommendations based on individual preferences. One standout dish that I highly recommend is the Yellow Tail Roll. A touch of spice and extremely refreshing, this roll offers an opportunity to pick apart ingredients and delight in the overall taste simultaneously. It's a true delight for sushi lovers. Overall, Yuzu Sushi in Atlanta is a fantastic place to enjoy high-quality sushi in a chill setting (and very well priced) Whether you're a sushi aficionado or not, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit. The combination of fresh ingredients, skillful preparation, and attentive service make it a standout. read more

Our experience far exceeded expectations. Let's start with the location: it's an excellent spot with plenty of parking and situated right next to a lovely path, perfect for a leisurely stroll after indulging in a meal. We began our culinary journey with the Yammy Crunch appetizer. It was a delightful introduction to some new flavors. The creamy mayo, combined with scallions and tomatoes, created a harmonious and delectable bite. Next, we opted for the Sunset roll, drawn by the allure of eel's umami flavor. Surprisingly, the eel was nestled inside the roll rather than on top, which was an unexpected but pleasant twist. The highlight of our meal was the Chamblee Crunch roll. This roll was a delightful surprise, offering a creamy texture followed by a satisfying crunch from the tempura flakes enveloping it. I'm already looking forward to returning and exploring more of their innovative menu. Their fresh take on sushi is truly impressive. Additionally, it's worth noting that the Frosty Caboose is just a short walk away, making for a perfect dessert destination. The service was outstanding. We were accompanied by our 4-year-old son, and the servers were incredibly accommodating, ensuring a seamless dining experience for our family. read more

My favorite sushi in Atlanta hands down. Been here 10 times or more (not joking). I'm worried that…read moreif I tell too many people about it, they'll get too popular and possibly raise prices. Law of supply and demand. But given the elevation in quality of life this establishment has provided me with across the years, I feel I owe them some good marketing through a review. If there was a sushi coefficient of freshness, quality, quantity, and cost, this place wins everyday. C= (Fr*Q*q*c) Fr: 9 Q: 8 q: 10 c: 10 C(Yokohama)= 7200 Don't get me wrong - the competition is fierce for delicious sushi (Fudo, MF sushi, Nobu, all the Omakase scenarios popping up in town). What this means is the cost (c) is way too high, giving it a low 1-5 in the equation. Also, quantity (q) is low, about 4-6. So, the resulting coefficient is very low overall. From my understanding, the fish here only comes from Japan, so it's good stuff - and they really load up the rolls (a lot of the time), and they have this deal on weekend for special rolls (25% off I think). So you do get the quality, quantity, and decent price (about $12-15 per specialty roll). The regular rolls are good too, and loaded with fish. E.g. spicy salmon/tuna. So, if you're looking to go crazy on some good sushi without restraint and without breaking the bank completely, this is your spot. family owned I believe, very nice and efficient service. Cozy/casual, not too fancy, but feels comfortable to dine in. No delivery unfortunately on any app, but that makes quality control better IMO. Thank you for your attention to this manner.

What a great deal - my friends and I decided to check it out and we had a great dinner. Servers were attentive and the food came out in a timely manner. I ordered the Samurai Roll, as well as the Chicken Karaage appetizer. The chicken was sooo good - perfectly, lightly fried with sauce to dip. Tender and flavorful! The Samurai Roll was substantial and I appreciate the generosity of the roll. It was topped with salmon, and usually when rolls are topped with fish, it's usually a pretty thin slice of fish, but these slices of salmon were quite thick in my opinion. The pieces of sushi themselves are also fairly thick - it was a big bite for me to eat each piece in one. I made a reservation in advance and the staff already had my table ready even though I was a little early. The table was already dressed with menus, chopsticks, and some small plates/sauce dishes. Love it when restaurants are on top of it!

TLDR: 16 courses of very fresh fish for $78. Some were better than others with the uni wagyu,…read moreotoro, and akami as the stand outs for me. Comparable to mid tier omakase in NYC, but more courses. Definitely worth the price, will come again, 10/10 for value, 8/10 taste wise. Came here for a date with my wife after a recommendation from some friends. Make sure to place a reservation on Resy ahead of time. The decor and vibe inside is pretty intimate with dim lighting, but you are only separated from other omakase tables by a curtain so there is some noise overlap. Our chefs were gracious to answer my questions, although I do wish they had explained the dishes more while presenting them. Many of them had toppings that I had to ask about. The sushi itself was a bit on the smaller side but that's understandable for 16 courses and the price. Sometimes I did feel like the nigiri was not compact enough and the fish was not sticking to the rice (could be my own skill issue). Every bite of fish was fresh, no fishy taste at all. Here's a breakdown of each bite I had. Salmon sashimi: very firm with nice bite. Almost like smoked salmon. Rice crisps add nice texture. Pretty fatty. 8/10 Ika: squid, I love squid. Firm texture with fatty chew. Rice almost too warm? Little grainy for this round. Slight smoky flavor from the blow torch 7.5 Hamachi yellowtail: very clean taste. Slight sinew, but overall excellent. 8.6 Hotate Scallop: texture of scallop was excellent. Melts on your tongue and sweet. Bit too much wasabi though, slightly overpowering. Could've been a 9, is an 8 Hirame Fluke: had lime zest on top which was nice. Pretty soft, slight sinew. Felt like it needed more flavor, not my favorite 6.8 Shima Aji striped jack: I love the texture of striped jack, both firm and tender. Was pretty fatty as well. 8.3 Ikura salmon roe: first time I've had it with yuzu peel on top. Adds nice sweetness and citrus flavor to the more briny flavor of the ikura. The ikura was fairly fresh tasting, but there was a bitter aftertaste. First bite: 8, full plate 7/10 Kanpachi amberjack: fish itself was super fatty, tasted very fresh. I think the amount of ginger scallion sauce on mine was a bit overpowering and took away from the fish itself. 7.9/10 Miso black cod(?): very well cooked, nice and sweet glaze. The crisps on top added good texture and sweetness as well. 8.1/10 Akami lean tuna with pickled wasabi root: this one was basically all you can ask for from Akami. No fishy taste at all, super clean. Very tender, no sinew. 9 Madai sea bream: blowtorches and topped with some kind of garlic chili crisp. Pretty tasty, nothing special. 7.9/10 OToro with caviar: most of it melts in your mouth but sadly mine had some sinew I had to chew through. Otherwise a perfect bite, no fishiness at all. Caviar added some salt and texture but otherwise I couldn't not discern a taste. 8.5 A5 Wagyu and uni: as someone who usually does not like uni, this was fantastic. The uni was very sweet and creamy, and the Wagyu tasted fantastic. Flavors mix surprisingly well. My Wagyu was a little sinewy instead of just melting in mouth, but the flavor was really good. 8.9 Kani blue crab: has yuzu for sure. I think this has mayo? Something is a little too rich without enough to balance it. Crab flavor could be stronger. 6/10 Unagi: standard unagi, maybe a bit salty. Nice sweetnesss too. 7.5 Green tea mochi ice cream with strawberry: tastes like the green tea mochi you get from Asian supermarkets. More bittersweet compared to matcha flavored stuff. I'm very partial towards this flavor cause I had it growing up a lot. Strawberry was not very sweet lol. 7.5 Will definitely come again!

Underwhelming. The…read morenigiri was very basic, with none of the creative accompaniments or thoughtful elements I associate with omakase. The menu also appears to change very little which is kind of odd. There was no chawanmushi, nothing grilled beyond perhaps a light torching, no dashi course, and the nigiri progression felt disjointed. I do not remember every course, but two had significant sinew, which made them unpleasant to eat. Overall, the flavors lacked complexity. While the price may seem modest for omakase, our bill was $225 for two with sake before tip, and the sake selection left much to be desired. The counter was extremely crowded, and guests were filed in and seated like a Disney World queue. There was less than an inch between chairs, making the experience uncomfortably tight. Our neighbors filmed their entire meal with their phone on the bar - how is this allowed? Service was adequate at best: our water glasses sat empty, our chef seemed annoyed even when placing courses in front of us, and we were rarely told what we were eating beyond the type of fish. If there were toppings or preparations, they were not explained. Several courses were simply disappointing, especially the scallop, ikura, and Ika. The ikura seemed to come straight from the container without preparation or marinade, the ika was tasteless, and two courses were notably sinewy. King salmon -- Nicely fatty, but surprisingly strong for the opening course of an omakase Ika -- Torched, but tasteless Albacore -- Served with ponzu sauce and scallion Kanpachi -- Very sinewy Hirame -- Finished with lime zest Madai (sea bream) -- Served with chili crisp sauce; very good Ikura (salmon roe) -- Appeared to be served straight from the container, without preparation or marinade Hotate (Hokkaido scallop) -- Served with charcoal salt, but tasteless Miso black cod -- Served with yuzu miso sauce; I am not sure why it was placed in a hand roll with rice Akami -- Served with pickled wasabi; the fish was frozen Wagyu with uni -- No substitution was offered for pescatarians Crab hand roll -- Essentially mayonnaise and crab; very one-note Unagi -- Barbecued eel Mochi For my money I would head to Chirori or Brush

I started with the miso soup, followed by the 47 Roll. The presentation of the sushi roll and each entrée was beautiful. Honestly, the presentation alone was a 10/10! The portions were also generous, and everything was plated so nicely, which really added to the overall experience. I also ordered the beef lo mein and asked them to make it spicy. Next time, I'll probably skip that request because they definitely brought the heat! It was spicier than I needed, but still flavorful. Of course, I had to try their matcha! I asked to use the restroom before I sat down and the host said something along the lines of "are you at least going to order your drink?" As the meal went on, I felt my waitress had similar energy, although not as strong as the first employee. I ordered a soft shell crab roll, a purple sweet potato tempura roll, and Malaysian fried house rice, which had chicken, shrimp, and beef. The food came out fairly quickly. The soft shell crab roll was my favorite. I was trying something new with the sweet potato one, but it didn't do much for me. The beef in the rice was sooo tender--I was pleasantly surprised! Overall, the rice smelled delicious, but it didn't taste as extravagant as it smelled. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great! My total was about 47 bucks before tip, which I think is fair for what I got. I think it's a solid spot, and if I was in the area, I might go again.
