I was getting Bahn Mi sandwiches from THH and saw there's a promotion for eyebrow threading for $6 (new customer) so figure I'll go try it out. I have never done eyebrow threading before so it was quite an experience. I'm not a diligent person in upkeeping my eyebrows usually had mine waxed, which cost around $10 to $15 so seeing eyebrow threading for $6, it's like extremely sweet deal. I knew in advance that it would hurt so mentally I was prepared for it. For those who had never had eyebrow threading, the feeling is like someone using a zipper zipping up and pulling the hair out from your brow. This action doesn't really hurt on top of the brow but under the brow, it hurts quite a bit especially if you haven't upkept your brows for a while. I definitely teared up. The whole process can last about 5 to 10 minutes depending on how bushy your brows are. At the end of the session, the lady that did mine put on some gel and massage the brows. It looks pretty nice! When I went to pay, they tried to charge me $8 until I told the front desk guy it was my first time visit and I came in because I saw the promotion sign said $6 for new customer. Since I had the eyebrow threading, they tried to sell me 5 eyebrow threading sessions for $30. I'm still not sure if I liked it but they said I could put down $5 deposit to think about it if I changed my mind, just come back for the money and no question ask. The front desk guy did say that the 5 brows for $30 is pretty much good with any of the stylist. They also give you a punch card too, after 5 visits it's $1 off and after 10, you get 1 free eyebrows. I'm assuming the punch card is not limited to eyebrow threading only but for other things as well. The nice thing about this location is there's practically no wait. It probably helps too that I went around 5pm on Tuesday. I was actually surprised to see a guy there having his brows threaded while his girlfriend waited in the lobby. I always thought it was more like a woman thing but it was nice to see a guy there. So ladies, if your man has bushy brows, take him to get his brows threaded then! read more

Stoped by today for the second time ever to get my eyebrows done. I called on a Saturday to make an appointment, and was told Groupon purchases can only make appointments on Monday's- Wednesday's. I checked the Groupon multiple times & don't see that printed anywhere whatsoever. But nonetheless, I then made my appointment for Monday instead of that Saturday. The Groupon states you can purchase every 6 months. After reading many reviews, when the worker asked me if I had been there before- I said no. Wether that's dishonest or smart, I don't know, but I was able to avoid a confrontation & had a pleasant eyebrow threading experience. I get my eyebrows done about 3 times a year (if that), so I know for a fact I haven't been to YUVA in the past 6 months- last I was there was before COVID even hit. The customer service I received was great, although I'm not totally convinced a threading salon needs to charge a $2 "sanitation" fee. That's pretty much a tip to an eyebrow service, but whatever- paid $5 for eyebrow threading & have no issue with the job that was done, so no significant complaints here. They were very insisting for us to get a facial so we did. She ended up burning my moms eyes. She got a bad infection because of this. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!! I came here to get a full face wax plus nose wax done. The lady performing the waxing surface suggested I do chocolate wax because of my sensitive skin and my acne. The moment the wax hit my face I could feel the scorching heat burning my face. Wax should not be this hot!! It was way too hot!! The lady completely covered my face in wax and just started ripping off wax strips. This by far has been the WORST experience of my life!! I've never had a wax service be so PAINFUL!!! The nose wax was horrible too!! She used Q-Tips to do that and she left a bunch of hairs and wax in my nose. I shouldn't have paid for a half done job. Especially to be paying $80! I have scars on my face from how bad this was. PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! This place is OVERPRICED and they clearly don't know what they are doing. If I could give this place ZERO STARS I WOULD!!!! This place is a money hungry establishment and I would NEVER go back. I initially called because I had a Groupon to use for a Brazilian wax so I called to make my appointment. While speaking to the woman she said you can cancel the Groupon and just bring cash, I obliged. I came in, she upsold me on chocolate wax which was supposed to be better than the other one and a little more pricey. Not a big deal, all together it was $45. I went back yesterday, called before hand to set my appt and said I wanted my under arms also she said great, it's $22. I go, receive my service and she rings me up to $91. Confused, I asked her why. She said the chocolate wax Brazilian and under arms wax plus a service fee for anything over $50 is an additional 10% (????) Very confused I told her what I paid last time for the SAME service and how she basically doubled the price in a 3 week time span. She reduced it to $81, had the nerve to ask me for a tip AND tried to upscale me on a wax package. I snatched my card and said I wouldn't dare set foot back in there! They are some threading, waxing CON ARTIST. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. UPDATE: I did speak to the manager, he was very kind. He did reach out to me twice in regards to my experience which I totally appreciate. Was contemplating writing a review but I think it's needed. Called in asking for a Wax and I was quoted 29$ first time customer. Got there and the woman said that I needed the chocolate wax because I was sensitive and since I didn't shave I "had too much hair" according to the lady which I had let it grow so I'd be ready to wax. She kept saying "no I can't do 29$ you have to do the 70$ wax because too much hair" So instead of 29$ I paid 93 because they do automatic gratuity of 18% of sales over 50$ At the time I was fine and was told no soap or washing so I followed her instructions, but one day later I have scabbing and areas of skin ripped off. My eyebrows are pretty easy to clean up and usually in artesia I can just walk in anytime with anyone and get them done and they look good. Here for some reason, if it's not with Susan, they never turn out well. And on top of it I'm paying double what I would in artesia. Unfortunately, Artesia is pretty far to go on a regular basis so I keep trying here. I recommend Susan for eyebrows but if she is not available, I say go elsewhere. read more

Pricing at this location is reasonable. The times I have gone in the afternoon there tends to be a longer waiting time. I recommend that if you're in a rush, make an appointment ahead of time. Parking is limited, and sometimes the small shopping center can get busier towards the evening. Yuva overall has always been kept clean. Reason why I give this place 4 stars is because the gentleman in the front desk can get pretty pushy when selling some of their promotions. Today i went in for 2 services. Upon proceeding to pay my cash tip was refused, I asked why and i was told that no need to because they will add an automatic 18% gratuity for any services $50 and up. This is new! I wasn't told beforehand, ani think this is an outrageous practice. I will be charged an automatic gratuity if i spend more ? I've been here many times, but after today's experience- I'll be going somewhere else. How can it be a suggested tip if it is automatically being charged to my card without explanation? This place is decent. The interior is very clean and the staff a pretty friendly. I've only been here twice and my review is mainly on the work I received. Overall, both times I got my brows threaded and the jobs were clean and relatively sharp. The first time the lady did a good job, but she made my eyebrows a little thin for my liking. I got a lot of compliments later so I guess I don't mind. The second time I the lady cleaned my brows up nicely, but they were a bit uneven and my brows were not as straight or as sharp as I liked. I had to fix them a little when I got home. I have thick brows, and it's easy to color in the spots I don't like. It's definitely not a bad place if you're not too picky or particular about your brows. Service is good, the employees are nice. I've been coming to this threading salon for the past 3 years. When I first started coming here the service was excellent, my eyebrows looked great and I LOVED the aloe Vera eyebrow/temple massage after. It was totally worth the price. Recently when I've gone in I notice that one eyebrow is thinner than the other and sometimes I have random hairs that were missed. My most recent visit which was 2 days ago was probably the worst one yet. I went in and there was no one there except one person who was getting their eyebrows done, the lady that came up to me immediately seemed very annoyed that I was there in the first place. Once she sat me down and started doing my eyebrows I noticed she was going faster than usual and it hurt a lot more than it usually does (I've been getting threaded for 8+ years I've gotten used to it) and at one point it felt like she had cut my brow but I brushed it off and kept going. While checking my brows when she was done I didn't notice that she had actually cut me from going in such a hurry! I noticed when I got home and the pain had turned into a throbbing pain. I don't want to jinx myself but when I've tried different eyebrow threading salons I haven't walked out in tears with misshapen chola eyebrows, so I guess I might be just lucky. After a few months of searching for the best eyebrow place and person I have finally found it. I love Yuva Threading Salon's Tustin location. It is always clean - and for people touching your face - I would say that is very important!! They all do an excellent job here but my personal favorite is Mona. Another good thing is there is hardly a wait. They have at least 2 or more people working that I can see, compared to the other salons that have 1 threader on at a time.
