    Darkness Roll

Wow wow wow!!! I love sushi, it's maybe my favorite food in the world. and i've eaten a lot of it. but Yuubi sushi might be the best sushi i've ever had! I used to live in San Francisco which has great sushi options but honestly I couldn't think of a single restaurant that truthfully compared to the quality. This is a very very small unassuming restaurant (make a reservation!!) with friendly and efficient staff. Everyone was very kind and you ordered through a QR menu on your phone. All of our dishes were made fresh and came out fast! We tried a variety of nigiri, hand rolls, and even one of their signature rolls. Every. single. bite. was amazing! The scallop was seared in waygu tallow butter ... that was probably my favorite bite of the evening. I appreciated the rice as you could taste and feel each grain which made eating nigiri a top notch experience. The Nori used for the handrolls was so fresh and crispy, i ended up ordering 4 handrolls when i was only expecting to get 1-2. Truly addicting! For the signature rolls, we tried the "darkness". i don't even have much to say besides GET THIS. shrimp tempura was huge, fresh and succulent and the seared hamachi on top melted away like butter. I don't know why i'd go anywhere else for sushi after discovering Yuubi .. it's my new favorite.

Truly a 5 Stars and heavenly experience. The best sushi and raw fish experience I've had in Oregon. The raw fish are so rich, the freshest and delicious. We tried everything from their aged salmon to their caviar uni waygu. Everything just shoots passed our expectations we never knew we had. Absolutely amazing friendly staff. This place is worth a try to celebrate milestone experiences and anniversaries. The pricey price tag absolutely justified the incredible tastes.

Hands down the best sushi I've had in a very long time, everything I can eat locally pales in comparison. Portland has the most unique and flavorful places, I'm slightly jealous to be honest. Service was also super sweet and you can go ahead and order through your phone if you like (it's like open a tab and keep on ordering if you want more). They only seat groups of max 4 people and it's best to reserve a table. The restaurant is very small, not many tables. We did walk in right after it opened and snatched the final open table available. Your dinner comes with edamame and a good helping of wasabi. We've ordered several different rolls, the San Francisco, especially a standout. Even your standard somewhat boring California roll was outstanding, the flavor was just different than what you normally get. We had some hand rolls, all ultra fresh and delicious. If you are in town, try them out, not cheap but so so good. We are already plotting on when we can do another trip to Portland. Note to owner, if you ever plan to open a second location, Seattle is eagerly waiting for you.

Service was quick and staff were very observant. They picked up any dishes and trash almost right when I put it down. The space is small so definitely recommend reservations! They have complimentary edamame on top of the standard ginger and wasabi (which is fresh btw!) Salmon Skin Roll: Extremely crispy! My partner loved it and I thought the fried flavor was a bit too much for me. The nori was nice and crisp as well Karaage: Nice fry Crispy and crunchy! The yuzu aioli was a nice contrast. Grandma Toro: A good nigiri So tender and fatty Great seasoned rice but not overpowering the fish Dynamite roll: I was not a fan. It was a bit mushy from the deep fry Was more sriracha forward and I couldn't taste anything else. The outside tempura shell was not as thick as I thought it would be. Unagi handroll: Excellent! Soft and tender unagi Always a fan of unagi sauce! The avocado added and extra layer of creaminess that tied it together Insanity roll: Nice smoky flavor paired and balanced with truffle notes and the wagyu came in at the end for me.

Yuubi always hits the spot!!! Been going here over the years and it never disappoints. Small, but cozy space. Would recommend doing reservations, but they do take walk-ins for 1-2 people from what I saw.

The Garlic Breath sushi, I could have again and again. The King Salmon, delicious and tender, and the service was great. I wish the inside was roomier and the seats were actually comfortable, but they are not. The food though is excellent.

Just outstanding! If you blink, you might just miss one of the best hidden gems in Beaverton. Nestled in a little neighbourhood is one of the most tantalizing Sushi restaurants you'll find in the PNW. Seating capacity is extremely limited, so I highly recommend making reservations. We showed up at opening time and luckily got one of their last tables. What started with a frantic medical emergency with one of their patrons, was shortly calmed with cozy vibes and amazing service. You get complimentary Edamame beans and fresh wasabi. We started with the chef's 5 piece Omakase which gave you a good experience of different cuts and flavours and added the Chicken Karage for some contrast of texture. I highly recommend the Grandma Toro as this gets sold out quickly. The staff are absolutely amazing and super attentive to anything you need and are quick to clear your empty plates. I absolutely love this place.

I highly recommend Yuubi! Their sushi quality is unmatched. Everything was so fresh. I typically don't like tuna, but I would get it here because their quality is great. I loved the wagyu and the tuna with truffle & uni. Their rolls are great as well. I recommend making reservations as it is a smaller place, but the service was great! Food came out fast.

This is probably the best sushi we've had in Oregon! We had to call for reservations on a Wednesday, but lucky we did, because it was packed and everyone had a reservation! The service was so quick and they brought out a free bowl of edamame. The menu is quite scary! There are so many menu options and the prices are a bit steep -- but it's worth it. We ordered a couple of rolls (you can't go wrong, but I really loved the Dynamite X), a spicy salmon inari pockets (this is a MUST ORDER), the beer battered shrimp tempura, and the hand roll. The fish tasted so fresh, as if they just bought it from the market. The rice is so unique and so perfect. Also?? Freshly grated wasabi?? Incredible. We overheard the folks next to us gushing about the wagyu, so we'll have to come back. There are so many great menu items to try! PS the 2000s pop and rnb music was the vibe!

Literally tastes straight out of Tokyo's Tsukiji Market! Probably the best sushi I've had in the US- all the fish was melt-in-your-mouth like butter and you cannot skip out on the wagyu and the truffle salmon! We got multiple of the truffle salmon and the grandma toro. Would absolutely recommend making a reservation here for a special occasion since seating can be quite limited. The service was also super attentive!

What went well? Everything.... So happy my wife reserved a spot for our family as she was craving sushi. The entire staff was so welcoming and nice, knowing we got 2 toddlers coming into their little spot. The nigiri was soooooooo good, arguably the best nigiri I've had so far. Bury me with the nigiri that has the gold leaf on top. Yummmmm!!! Can't wait to come back.

Ambiance: 8/10 very quaint joint. Very cute, great natural lighting. Service: 10/10 they are so kind, very fast service, truly a family feel. My waitress "unknown caller" was absolutely hilarious and was a reason we come back time and time again. She is amazing! Food: 9/10 best sushi I've ever had. No doubt. Unbelievably fresh & high quality. Bc of how small the place is, they can focus on quality.

When you come in and sit, your table is already prepped with everything you could need, including edamame to munch on while you order. Ordering is via QR code and you can order individually or as a group (or multiple groups if convenient). There's a solid variety of options, but the dry-aged tuna seems to be the thing to try!--specifically the dry aged Japanese bluefin, although they have Mexican as well (I'm not well-versed in the difference between bluefin varieties). I ordered: Tuna Flight (3 pcs of bluefin of increasingly nice cut), Salmon Belly, Garlic Albacore, and Hon Maguro (bluefin tuna). The best by far was the "Grandma Toro" in the Tuna flight (can also be ordered separate). It was the best to the point where every member of my party ended up ordering it!

Do I need to make reservations?

It’s better to have one but we do take walk-in. Our restaurant is small with only 8 table and a few bar seat.

The takeout comes in black plastic not paper? Stop using plastics please. The photos show plastic so we will not be ordering to go. Hopefully the photos are wrong? There are paper type compostables that work. Pho Van and others have figured out.

Paper does not work well with sushi as it will stick to the rice. We don’t prefer take out please do dine in. Sushi is not good take out. That’s why we stop all the third party service like Uber and DoorDash. But if you can fine me some good… Read more

The crunchy roll was what I liked most but even that was not great. It seems like they add "Japanese Mayo" to almost every plate and on every roll in some way. The wasabi was super sus. The ginger looked like it was in a little trash disposal box and just sat on the table for guest after guest... gross... who knows what could have happened to it!
