I should have known to walk out the second I stepped foot in this disgusting shamble of a "business." First off, the people at the front desk are not nice people. The place is not clean, there is crap everywhere, all the equipment is outdated and the tech and Dr. did not wipe any of it down when I had to put my chin and forehead on it. Nor did they wipe it afterwards. I was in there for about 15 min, I was not asked if I had any sort of questions by the dr. It was like I was the next on her list and onto the next. I am convinced that my prescription isn't even accurate because of how crappy and old their equipment was. 5 minutes after the exam the doctor goes, okay now go sit with so and so and she will help you pick out glasses. Her desk along with another girls desk is backed up to the frames wall so you can barely even walk in between them to try glasses on. There are barely any mirrors and the glasses were all dated and cheap looking. Is this place actually serious?! Please do not go here. That being said, I will be going to another doctor for a second exam.

What happened: After eight months of recovering from retinal detachment surgery, my prescription had changed twice. I finally secured new insurance that would cover my eye exams--but it doesn't kick in until May 1st. I scheduled an appointment specifically for an eyeglass exam only and made it clear at check-in that I could not afford the (separate) contact lens exam until after May 1st. Unbeknownst to me, the doctor proceeded to perform both the eyeglass and contact-lens exams. I thought she was merely "tweaking" my existing contact prescription, so I didn't question it. The next day, I received a call from Susan ( who said she was the office manager ) at Invision telling me I owed $85 for the contact exam I had explicitly asked not to have. When I explained that I had not authorized or even realized a second exam was done, she brusquely replied, "Why didn't you stop the doctor?" and insisted I return the trial contacts. I then spoke with Niessa, the office manager, hoping for some understanding or compromise. Instead, she was condescending and rude--telling me it was entirely my fault for allowing the exam and that I must pay both charges. Why this matters: Lack of clear communication. I explicitly declined the contact-lens exam, yet no one bothered to confirm with me when the doctor performed it. Unprofessional customer service. Both Susan and Niessa refused to listen or offer any courtesy goodwill. Rather than resolving a genuine misunderstanding, they treated me like I was the problem. Lost trust (and a patient). Over an $85 fee, Invision Eye Care has now lost my future business--along with the cataract appointment I had already scheduled at that office. Bottom line: I understand policies exist, but a little empathy and clear communication go a long way. I left feeling like I wasn't respected as a patient or even a customer. Until Invision trains their staff to listen first and assume good faith, I cannot, in good conscience, recommend them.

One eye is distance and the other is for reading. The brain compensates. The staff was amazing and thorough. Dr. Goldberg is professional and patient. The surgeries went very well. I had no pain at all. I walked out without any patches. It's a month long on each eye with drops. So far so good. My eyesight is restored, and I am very grateful. There are many follow ups included after the surgeries. No stone is left unturned. I will probably get driving glasses for night driving only. My only issue with my new eyesight is having dry eye. I must continue to use Restasis twice a day. The dryness causes you to have blurry vision. No glasses will help this. It's part of the aging process. I am very happy with Dr. Goldberg and his staff. It was a painless procedure.

His staff was beyond thorough as far as all of the tests to give them the proper information and when I sat with Dr. Goldberg to discuss my options he took his time and explained my options to me, the positives, negatives and everything else I should know. He never hesitated or did not have an answer to any of my million questions. He knows what he's doing and is very patient. I had ICL surgery with him and in less than two weeks time I am seeing 20/20 when I was seeing 20/40 +2 with glasses/contacts before surgery. I could never thank Dr. Goldberg and his staff enough for literally giving me the gift of sight. I would recommend him to anyone in a heartbeat.

RUN from this doctor!!! He botched my cataract surgery and now I have blurry vision, almost…read moreconstant pain, extremely watery eye, and other weird problems! The whole experience was horrible! I came out of a very long surgery with a VERY bloody eye which is not normal. This was a straightforward surgery with no complicating issues. Also I should have had astigmatism taken care of at the same time, which I requested, but he assured me that it was unnecessary and I would have perfect vision post-op without it. Not true! Not to mention that he was not very nice, but that was the least of my complaints. Office is also dumpy and equipment far from state of art. I later had cataract surgery on the other eye with another surgeon and it was a piece of cake with wonderful results. The difference was night and day!
