After visiting, I can truly say, both these stores have a wide variety of glasses to suit everyone's personal style. I found several I fell in love with. If I had unlimited resources and decided to start a business, it would probably be a high-end optical boutique filled with beautiful designer eyewear. To me, eyeglass frames are more than a necessity. They are an extension of personal style and fashion, and I love how they can complement an outfit just as much as jewelry or a handbag. While that dream remains a dream, I found a place that embodies it, and it's called Jemm Optical Boutique on Main Street in downtown Freehold. I knew it back in the day as Cohen's, but the owner of Cohen's sold it. In its place was Jemm Optical, which happens to be the original owner of that space. They decided to repurchase the store, and I could not be happier. Upon entering, you are immediately surrounded by what feels like a gallery of wearable art. The boutique is filled with premium designer frames that range from distinctive statement pieces to more classic and mainstream styles. As someone with very specific tastes in eyewear, I was in heaven. The shop itself is charming, warm, and inviting. Florence greeted me and was wonderful throughout the experience. She is knowledgeable about the collections and the designers behind them, making the process of browsing and selecting frames both enjoyable and informative. What impressed me most was the variety. Whether you are looking for something bold and unique or something more traditional, there is a frame for every personality and style. While many of the offerings are premium designer pieces, the pricing felt surprisingly reasonable considering the craftsmanship and artistry involved. They are also currently promoting a Buy Back Program, which allows customers to bring in their old glasses and receive credit toward the purchase of a new pair of premium designer frames. For anyone who views eyewear as both a necessity and a fashion statement, Jemm Optical Boutique is well worth a visit. For anyone who views eyewear as both a necessity and a fashion statement, Jemm Optical Boutique is well worth a visit. There is street parking and parking in the back, as well.
