I had made my first appointment with him due to pain in one of my eyes which he diagnosed as "iritis", gave me eye drops, and told me to come back numerous times for follow-up appointments. During the last follow-up, he wrote in my medical records that I was there for a "chief complaint" of "decreased vision involving the left eye and the right eye" (a TOTAL LIE)... so that he could bill me an additional $60 for a test to determine if I needed prescription glasses (something that I had REPEATEDLY told him I did not want or need). I found out about the lies he had put into my records after calling his office about a week after that appointment and requesting a copy of the doctor's notes for my records. Catch him in his lies, however, and he and his staff will do absolutely NOTHING about correcting the records. I have sent letters to his office regarding this, but they don't seem to care. I guess it's 'standard practice' for them to operate in this manner. They won't correct the records, but they sure didn't waste any time billing me. What's worse though... he billed Medicare for the LIES as well! Sounds like INSURANCE FRAUD to me!!! What a low-life jerk this guy is. I'll tell you this much... it will be a COLD DAY IN HELL when I pay him that $60!

Most impressive was that i got called into the examination room right at my appointment time. Dr. Donald Guerrierl was superb! He was friendly, knowledgeable, timely and just a good guy. He genuinely cared about giving me the best and most thorough exam to ensure I had the right prescription. He also took the time to explain the photos of the retina and what constituted good eye health. This was a great doctors appointment.

When I asked for this service I was told - over 3 visits - different reasons why they wouldn't do this for me; 1. They don't replace lenses in frames bought elswhere (my frame was bought about a year before from this location!) then... 2. They don't replace lenses in broken frames (my frame is not broken/damaged) then... 3. I needed a new eye exam (I had 2 exams by them in the past 6 months!) then... 4. Why did I need new lenses as the new prescription "was close to what the old lenses were" (wtf!) Lastly, the rude store manager told me that the business owner does not comply with this insurer-required benefit. Awful customer service, rude and unprofessional store manager, avoid this business and shop on ZELLI instead.

As I was new to the area, and my eyeglasses were broken, I decided to give this place a try. What a mistake. The front staff is rude and you feel like they do not take your needs, feelings, or wants into consideration at all. They informed me that I needed a diabetic eye exam first, as I do have diabetes. I said fine. But I needed new glasses as mine were broken. They assured me that that would get taken care of but that I needed the diabetic exam first. So I went in yesterday. I expected to walk out with a prescription for new glasses. Upon arrival, I was informed that "oh no, you can't get a regular eye exam for the eyeglasses today! You'll have to come back another day for that. We will only do the diabetic eye exam today." I was appalled! Why was this not explained to me fully, and clearly on the phone? There was no "We're so sorry" or "We'll squeeze you in for the eyeglass exam" or "how can we make this better for you?" This place does not have one iota of customer service! That is the feeling that I got, and will not return. There are so many other optical places that I could have chosen. I am sorry I chose this one.
