Bad Service. They don't stand by their products! Avoid. I read couple bad reviews and decided to give it a shot. Bought the E-Go board and in the first month cable to the motor overheated. Burning the bottom of the board. Called them and their excuse was that they saw water marks in the board so warranty does not cover. Truth even if there were water marks a fire is not caused by water, it was caused by the poor insulation of the cables. The cables were fine but the heat shrink insulator did not withstand the temperatures of the cables. Ended up going to home depot and buying new heat shrinks and fixing it my self. Something that didn't cost me more than $10 but like I said they don't stand by their products, even for a $10 fix. Advise STAY AWAY read more

Terrible experience. Shoddy products. I bought a brand new Yuneec Ego skateboard and like many others online, I experienced a motor failure in a very short period of time. Yuneec replaced the motor under warranty a year ago. While I was happy that they replaced the motor, I was now suspicious about the build quality of the board as many other online reviews said that the motor would burn out rather quickly with even minimal use. I took extreme precautions to "baby" the board. I only used it sparingly on weekends to ride up and down the boardwalk and I would take breaks to keep the motor from overheating or overworking. Despite these precautions and with extremely limited use, my motor is now dead again and the board is flashing 4 yellow lights. To make matters worse, I called Yuneec and asked them if they could replace my motor. They told me that they could not, but they would happily sell me a new motor at $60.00. Fine. That's not much money. Yet by the time I got transferred to the parts department, the cost of a new motor had gone from $60.00 + shipping to $90.00 + shipping. Uhhhh What??? I complained about the price discrepancy and was promised they would try to work with me and would call me back. I never got a call back. I called Yuneec the next week and was told that they would not work with my on a motor replacement under warranty nor would they work with me on price. Oh yeah...and a new motor...that now costs $100.00. Are you kidding me? So not only will not they replace the motor when it fails. They will jerk you around on the cost of a replacement motor. $60.00. Just kidding! $90.00. Just kidding! $100.00! This company does not stand behind their product and they don't honor their quoted prices. read more

While the idea of a 6 blade copter got me to buy the H model with the new Intel system, the week point of the system is the quality of the remote, that drove my drone into the wall. I got 2 of them, first one did not connect with the camera, and the second did not respond to the reverse control, plus the Intel option for which I paid extra 600 is a complete waste. Half of the buttons on the controller are for the future, so for now they don't do jack; It just looks complicated, but it,s not at all One thing that I liked was the way customer service picked up the slack. They promptly exchanged first one, and refunded me the money on the second one. Don't try to call them, you'll get the machine. Email seems to work better read more

Starting as a newbie (not even a gamer), the folks at the Ontario office have really helped me to "dial in" to my Yuneec Typhoon G. First visit had a issue with the camera movement. Worked with George who provided excellent service and a customer experience. Today worked with John to recover from a bit of a splash in the water. Having been a Yuneec customer over the past year, John went the extra effort to complete the repairs in time for my next project. 4/21/2015 - So I have updated and changed my 1 star review based on them taking care of the situation. Tamera finally got involved diligently and escalated this matter. She (as with I) really have no idea what happened to the items that were supposed to be in the packaging, but never-the-less she wanted to make things right. They did ship me the battery and grip that was missing. I did raise it to a solid 4 based on the good customer service. My only issue would be that it took 2 weeks and 4 representatives to make it happen. Oh well, growing pains I guess. Thx Yuneec & Tamera! 4/15/2015 - Emailed asking for status on missing items to be shipped and no response ..... 4/10/2015 - So I am put to the task of finding a quadcopter for work. After doing my forum and review searches I have a choice between 3 different companies. I choose yuneec and there q500+ due to the fact it's a local company, and it has decent (product) reviews. I purchase it locally and take it back to setup and read the literature. To my disbelief, when I open the box (which is not sealed by the way - this should be changed so that consumers know if it has been tampered with). It is missing a battery (as shown on packaging) and a bonus Grip for the camera to attach to. I immediately contact the company I purchased it from (Frys) and let them know. They say to contact the manufacture since maybe the items were not included in the packaging??! Thankfully on yuneec website, it talks about missing items in the box (is this an issue maybe?!), it sounds like it's not a problem. So I call the customer support line on 7/5/2015 (Monday) and explain to them the situation. The first gentleman said too bad and there is nothing that can be done. In shock, I asked to speak to a manager (Tamera) and they said she will call me back. After no call Monday, I submitted pictures of the packaging / box as I said I would and Tuesday I called back explaining the situation again hoping with photos they would be more willing to understand. They said someone will get back to me. Again nothing, I call back Wednesday, they said that they need to contact Frys and that I need to to send them proof of purchase (at this point I feel as though they think I'm scamming them for a battery!!?!? Seriously? It probably costs them $20.00). I wait till Thursday and you guessed it...no call, so I call them Thursday afternoon, and now I am told to send the receipt again. Customer service rep Margarita explained how it's not there fault and how they ship it to there vendor complete and I need to take it up with Frys. Something about Sony and best buy. I explained to them how I'm the consumer who purchased a complete kit with missing parts. I don't know who included or didn't parts in a box, and honestly if they want to battle it out with Frys then that's fine but I just want to be made right on a purchase I made...that's all. So here we are end of day Thursday and we will see how this fair's out. So be extremely caution on the customer service of this company. We will see how this is handled. read more

I honestly don't know how they have 4 stars. They probably gave me the worst customer service experience I've ever had. My drone malfunctioned and crashed so I was trying to get it repaired. I called customer service MULTIPLE times and would be on hold for HOURS before I finally got through to someone. Once I finally got my case in they emailed me a form with a repair summary I needed to send with the drone. I've been very busy so I did not get it to them until 2 months later. I'm within driving distance so I decided to just go there myself when I had a short day at work. When I got there they said my case had been CLOSED. They didn't do repairs there anymore. I would have to call customer service AGAIN. Open a new case and then ship it to TX!! I can't stress enough how bad they are. They are extremely hard to contact. They closed my case for no reason and now they changed locations to somewhere that will cost huge amounts in shipping. read more

I have a Typhoon H and I crashed a couple of months ago. I decided to make the drive to Corona (new location) and popped in. They told me that they don't normally do repairs but they had a tech look at the camera and drone. Not only did they repair it, but the tech took it out back to make sure everything worked and even calibrated it for me. He also updated the firmware since I had not upgraded it since I purchased it. It's a great drone until it glitches out and broke itself, haven't had a great experience with service yet, sent in drone and never got any updates at all for a good month and a half, until I finally decided to call and found out they lost it, without telling me, so they finally sent a replacement which I was thankful for, but there was something wrong with the "new" unit they sent me I have tried everything they told me to do to get it to work and still nothing, so I had to send it back for "repairs" I haven't even had my drone in my possession for even a whole month! Their products are pretty good and all but the wait time is unacceptable. I sent in my drone for "repair" after my gimbal was not centered and had shaky footage. It has been 1 month since they received the drone and I have yet to get one single update about it. I call and they say they will soon get a technician on it but it has not happened to my knowledge. I'm simply waiting to get my device back as I run a photography side business. I hope I really don't have to go with the phantom drone and stick with Yuneec. We will See. read more

Great people, great product, 10 stars company. I had bad experience with a fly away with yuneec one of the expensive product that still hasn't been found. I've flown this drone since october of 2017 with minor crashes here and there. Very resilient piece of hardware. Most of the times it ended with a broken blade or less. There was one time i burned a motor because the only way to land it, is in to my hand. The wind wouldn't let me land it safley on the ground, so i had to grab it in mid air,,(pretty sure you all had that experience once or more). Because of that the drone kicked into high gear trying to level it self while im trying to bring the rpm to an idle. On march 30th of this year i flew it again. About 35 seconds in the air it had a malfunction between the GPS and the Compass that ended with a fly away. No need to tell you guys how it feels to see the thing getting away from you..out of control I tried to find it based on last visual i had when it happend and after 5 hours of searching the area i left the place without it. I called customer service immediately after the accident and provided them with the telemetry files. First thing they did was helping me with exact location coordinates. After that they analyzed the telemetry and gps files and found there was a malfunction with the gps and the compass. I was waiting patiently as they were doing their homework on the files i sent them. And finaly they concluded it WAS NOT a pilot error. They sent me a new drone. What more can say guys, this is the level of honesty and integrity i expect from a vendor that belives in their product. THEY MADE ME A BELIEVER TOO. Thank you all at yuneec. I have had 2 opportunities to request service on my Breeze. This time I was helped at the reception desk by Melissa. I'm fortunate in that I am not far from the sales and service center. I was having a problem with the batteries not charging. Anywho Melissa took the batteries into the shop and had a tech look at them. She came back shortly with two replacements for me. This is the same experience I had the first time although I had damage and had to leave it for a couple of days. Listen folks this is a small outfit that is doing their best to grow. Their products are well made and because they are small they are still improving the way they deliver their service. They are not GM or for that matter DJI. Worst customer service ever, dont by there products, after the break down, you can get any tech support, no one answers the phone and try messaging and no one responds, it's very frustrating just trying to contact them, also they tried to charge me sales tax of 9.5% on the labor, and tripled the shipping charges. read more

I fly a Q-500 Phantom and love the aircraft. However, more than the aircraft, I really appreciate the customer service in an industry that seems to have little to none. I have had a couple issues with battery chargers etc and they handed me another and called to make sure it worked right! Amazing. I wished they made more stuff. read more

I'm making a complaint against Yuneec I bought a drone from them that was over $1,000 is on its Maiden flight the Drone fell out of the of the sky and crashed.I contacted the company while it was under warranty told them what happened and they told me that they could not replace it but repair it. The company sent the Drone back to me quote repaired but it wasn't. I sent it back to them again and several times during the time of warranty and falling out of warranty.I had sent it to them so many times the last time I brought the Drone to them and it was quote "repaired "on its last fight it just flew away. I complained to the company and they told me now that it's out of warranty there's nothing they could do. I spoke to someone at the company they had seen that the Drone had been in several times and they were going to replace it because it was a special case. All I had to do is wait for an email and a case number and they would have it shipped out. The email never came. I tried to contact them and was told that there was nothing they could do they closed the case. I was very angry and I've tried to contact them several times since nothing has been done. I purchased a drone for my business in real estate now I no longer have tools to do it all I ask for them is to replace the Drone in the beginning because it was defective when I bought it. read more

I bought a Typhoon H drone from them last year. I have to say that my Typhoon H I purchased has the most amazing 4k footage. I own a Typhoon H vr package. It's sitting in my beautiful storage room collecting dust. I flew it 6 times total last year. 2 to 3 times during hover it will literally drift away until it finally crashes. And while it's drifting away, it will not listen to any inputs whatsoever. I almost got hit by a car while doing this, and one time hurt a little girl while it was hovering. It drifted toward her back of her head, and it went right into her head. Of course the propellors broke, but she went to emergency hospital, and her parents are looking to come after you guys. They saw me trying to correct my drone, and saw that it wasn't moving. They got to her daughter too late though. I can't believe I spent 1k on something that does this. I already know the games that you guys play. I'm an experienced drone pilot, and I've owned over 20 drones. Both prosumer, and regular consumer. The funny thing is that my 40 dollar drone flies more reliably than your 1 thousand dollar drone. This is the worst drone, and the most expensive one I've ever owned. It's funny also, your customer service is non existent. read more

Horrific customer service. Very impersonal company. Phone lines always have a 30+ minute wait no matter what extension you try. I was told their technician would complete repairs within 7-10 business days. It's been well over 10 business days and still no drone....no phone calls...and takes 2-3 days to get an email response. Their email responses sound like a bunch robots and make you feel like another #. I would compare their service to the DMV. Stay clear folks...stay clear. read more

I'm surprised there aren't more reviews for YUNEEC they are an amazing drone company but the icing on the cake is the customer service they provide at the location in Ontario, CA and on the phone. I did about 6 months of research before my buying my YUNEEC and I will forever be a YUNEEC fan. I have had a Typhoon Q500 a Q500+ and now I am awaiting the Typhoon H. If you type in Drone Fly Away or Drone Crash on youtube you will notice 90% of them are DJI and customer built rigs. Yuneec RARELY has problems. Thanks! read more

Yuneec is great. I took my Q500's gimbal in on a Friday & was ready for pick-up on Wednesday morning. The next day I took my drone out to fly & the camera still wasn't working. So I went back to Yuneec with my whole drone. They checked it out and told me that a circuit board on my drone was also fried. I saw some more dollar signs $$$. But they said it was gonna be covered. Dollar $$$ signs went away. Then as the technician was handing it back to me, he asked if I had crashed it. Told him "Yeah." He noticed a noise in the motor & went over & above what he had to in order to fix it. He stayed after hours to make sure my drone was ready to fly correctly. I would like to thank Jessica (receptionist), Andrew, & I can't remember the other guys name (might be Randy), but if they look up my invoice, they'll know who it was. You guys are the WORST company I have dealt with in a long long time. Treating customers like you have will cause your demise. I bought an E-GO Yuneec electric longboard for my son. My son could have been hurt due to normal and easy wear and tear use in which the axle was sheared off due to a manufacturer defect and not abuse or neglect. Furthermore, I did not ask for anything other that the rear axle. I didn't ask to return the board. I did not ask for hospital bills due to the axle defect. I did not ask for a new board. I am very handy and dissembled the rear truck assembly down to just the rear axle and only wanted that part that was broken and was willing to pay for it to be overnight shipped - a service YOU SHOULD PAY FOR due to your defective product! I was even willing to due all this work and PAY for overnight shipping. You hang up 3 times. You can't view my emails while talking with me on the phone! Really - wow. What kind of company can't see an email. You ask for a picture of the broken defective part even after I had already sent it to you. I was on the phone 3 times and on hold for over 1/2 an hour. Then, you tell me my son "hit something". You guys make up this stuff so you can get more money from us, the customer. Do you even know what a customer is? I bent over backwards to make this happen and make it as easy as possible. Taking it apart, asking to pay for quick shipping. Then you tell me I have to pay for the ENTIRE rear assembly with the motor for $160!!! I paid $700 for the board. Are you freaking kidding me. I'm done. BBB will be notified. A dozen reviews on line will see this email and my credit card company will be notified of your warranty fraud. I will also call my lawyer and put together a class action law suit and shut you down so no one else will suffer the abuse from this company as I have. So, I bought the Yuneec Q500 4k from Best buy back in April. After trying the DJI. I went with the Yuneec because of the camera being able to remove and use separately as a camcorder since my camcorder was a 1080p. I also liked that it had sound. I cannot explain why, but it bugs me not having the loud whistling wind noise. I flew it once and then took the camera off to test it as a camcorder on the grip. Which worked ok. No zoom unfortunately, but I can live with that. Anyways, i noticed the camera had a loud fan noise. So i checked the vid and sure enough it came through into the video. I moved on and flew the craft again. This time it took a slight tumble and busted a couple of rotors. The craft took the 3 foot fall in the grass well. After that i decided i had better call and ask about the camera. I did talk to a rep who was friendly. He wouldn't do anything until i sent him the vid, which i do understand. He then did give me a RMA authorization after a long hold. He said returns typically take a week after receiving to get back is what i understood. I told him i would be going out of town in a couple of weeks. So he suggested i wait until i return to send it in. I did eventually send it in around the first week or so into July. So after about a week of them receiving it i got no call. I called support, and they said they were so backed up and had no ETA. Its now August 18th, and I have yet to even RECEIVE a phone call acknowledging they received it, or even touched it. Meanwhile I keep charging the batteries and remote in the remote chance i might receive my drone's camera. I have called like 5 times, and everytime i am told they have not touched it. I regret not taking it back to best buy the moment i found out the camera was defective. I know at least i would've walked out with it working. I just had read everywhere how great their CS was and took a leap of faith. Unfortunately, that was a bad move. I am a pretty patient guy, but even a phone call acknowledging they are backed up would be nice. Anything. At this point I should've just kept it and lived with the stupid fan noise. At least i would be flying still. I would say go to another brand, but i really like what i got. I truly hope nobody else has the issues I have had. read more

I want to make a review because I am so happy with this company. I bought a new Typhoon H, it's really amazing. When I was trying to update the firmware I did it incorrectly, which basically made the drone non-functional (my fault). When I called their tech support on a Saturday they were very helpful trying to fix the issue over the phone, but we couldn't get it to update again. Since I am local I took the unit in on Monday morning and they helped me right there on the spot. They answered all my questions, addressed my concerns, and were very nice to deal with. There was another customer there at the time, they also took care of him and he was super happy. I am very happy that I bought my drone from them!! Thanks Yuneec!!! read more
