Small orange chicken with plain lo mein
Eliza D.

Convenient location, food is cheap, service was extremely fast, and my boyfriend paid so it was free! You can tell the food is actually fresh, my chicken was crispy, you could tell the broccoli wasn't frozen, even their egg rolls seemed home made and not frozen. Maybe I just have low expectations but this place was a 5/5 for me.

Gross little rancid "lobster" from the fried rice

As of selecting the right app for the right franchise location wasn't bad enough, my dinner was even worse. Besides not having Singapore Mei Fun like just about anywhere else, I got another version and it was "ok". Frankly, it's hard to screw thats one up. I also ordered a quart of wonton soup which had a good broth, however meat in some of the wontons was "off". I don't know it was bad or undercooked, however, something wasn't right and it was noticeable. The worst part though was when I tried my quart of lobster lo mein with had just about no lobster in it. The funny part was that when I did see lobster it was the size of mini prawns that were maybe a half inch each and looked like something that you would get from A can. Unfortunately the "lobster" also tasted rancid. As a result the rice immediately went into the garbage can and this restaurant came off the list for good. Well I can appreciate wontons being off sometimes, serving rancid food and making me sick for a day isn't acceptable and makes me question the ethics of those in the kitchen as well as the owners of this establishment.

Fried rice is a typical staple when I'm ordering from American style Chinese Takeout. As a result, I typically use it as a barometer to determine if a restaurant is worth its salt or not. The rice here is awful and I recommend choosing white rice or substituting with something else. The rice is bright yellow in color and doe not taste good. The shrimp in garlic sauce and crab ragoon were good, but I probably wont be venturing here anytime again in the near future. As mentioned in previous reviews, this is a typical Chinese Takeout joint. I've had some pretty awesome cuisine from takeout in the past from other places, but after visiting this place, the search for quality take out shall continue.

Don't waste your time, money, or energy. Rude employees. I ordered a chicken teriyaki over rice "Special Bento Box" through their online system and DID NOT RECEIVE WHAT THE PICTURE OUTLINED ON THEIR WEBSITE. I called numerous times to be given the run around. Finally after several calls and 20 minutes later they told me that they would send a driver over to pick up the food. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? At this juncture, being 20 minutes later, they are NOW just offering a very poor remedy? Ridiculous. Why not take this situation seriously as I'm sure your little establishment is hurting due to COVID. Monroe Ave and the surrounding area has a variety of places to eat. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME, MONEY, OR ENERGY at this restaurant because they clearly don't appreciate your patronage.

Yummy Garden is not going to go down as the best Chinese Take out place, ever.Just not going to happen. Somewhere, on some street there is the best take out place ever, I don't doubt it. But how many of us live near by it? I know I don't. I do live walking distance from Yummy Garden. Their prices are pretty good, pretty average as most take out places are. I really wish they had tarter sauce for when I ordered fried shrimp but it's hardly the end of my world. Pretty decent fried, spicy, sweet, crispy, Asiany flavored chicken, beef, pork, rice and noodles and they won't break the bank. They actually have a few combo's if your not ordering alon and they give you free dessert if you order over $20 of food. I like their fried shrimp with french fries for $5 and their sweet and sour chicken/pork also about $5. Their wontons and rangoons aren't great, maybe a half a notch below average. Egg rolls are egg rolly. No complaints about this place, they are pretty quick too. I ordered some food, put on sandals, walked down to the store and they had my food bagged and ready to go! Can't complain about that!

Really fast to go service. Not the best Chinese food I've ever had but pretty tasty. Not a sit in place.

The food is great, only, they didn't give me all of it. I ordered 12 pc and I only got 10.

This is a great spot for Chinese food. They're fast with making the order and quick to pick the phone for phone orders.

So! Out of everything i ordered (see pics) I didn't try the soup dumpling but my kiddo (who are the whole steamer) said it was good. Everything was hot and delicious and taste like NYC dim sum (iykyk) except -the turnip cake (too oily and mushy) - fried dough noodle (too much wrapping, dough not fresh and crispy enough) - egg tarts (new and only available on weekends according to their menu - I am a BIG egg tarts fan and unfortunately these were disappointing: crust was fine but filling was baked eggs and not the classic flan-like type of an egg tarts). 3-4 other families came in for dim sum, it was more lively and they turned on low classical music so lovelier ambiance than when we first walked in. Wait staff was very friendly and polite. Only negative thing were the sticky plastic spoons they gave to share the congee bowl. After recovering from a recent stomach bug I have to be super critical of dining utensils so gotta ding a star off for that. Prices were more expensive than normal for dim sum but we were expected that - just glad they didn't decrease the quantity like some places! All in all, we would come back again for dim sum :)
