A few different people had recommended this joint to me, so I finally had to check it out for myself. Upon walking in, this tiny little spot was PACKED with people waiting for their food. Usually a good sign. The counter was barricaded, which was amusing and confusing. Glad they're staying safe. I loved that this Chinese place is different than others, in that you can get two meals instead of one as one of the "dinner specials." I opted for the sesame chicken + general tso chicken + veggie Lo mein. I had to wait 45 minutes for the food. The portions are much smaller than other chinese joints. Additionally, there was minimal to no taste to any of the 3 food groups I selected. The sesame chicken was okay, but the G-Tso chicken was BLAND with no kick at all. The veggie lo mein was subpar. Don't know if it was an off night for them or not, since my friends raved about them. Not sure if I'll be back since there's a lot of other Chinese options in my area. read more

This was the first place in a long time that the chicken didn't creep me out (i'm really weird with my chicken =o) The lo mein was really good as so was the pork fried rice. The beef and broccoli had a nice balanced sauce on it and the broccoli was perfectly cooked. We got 2 bags of wonton strips and they come with a homemade duck sauce that was delicious. I dipped my spring rolls in the duck sauce as well. The bag and homemade duck sauce is only one dollar! The spring rolls are a dollar something and they were decent although I prefer my spring rolls with a tasty fish sauce, but I think that's when I get Vietnamese spring rolls. My boyfriend really enjoyed his meal and has made this his go to place now when we having a craving for this type of food. Glad we tried it and we will be back read more

My husband and I ordered takeout from here last night for the first time! We recently moved and were looking for a great Chinese food place on the West side of Greece. I ordered the teriyaki chicken with pork fried rice and a spring roll, and my husband got the Amazing chicken with an egg roll and rice. His veggies were cooked well and the chicken was delicious! My teriyaki chicken was also flavorful and i would definitely order again. We also got the fried pork dumplings, which were great. We have been here many times and enjoyed the food. Last night it was a little disappointing. We were disappointed with the d29, Generals chicken, sesame chicken and vegetable lo mein. The lo mein had a very small amount of vegetables. The Generals and sesame chicken were very hard and most of it was inedible. They were not burnt just way over done. So anytime I tryva new place u get ny personal standards: Hot and sour soup and garlic chicken. I wanted to try one of their specialties so I ordered the "Fantastic Chicken. Oh, and fried spring rolls. Spring rolls were out of a box. Don't bother. The Hot and Sour soup was good. Better than most and shows they don't make it out if a can. Fresh sliced veggies and a thinner consistency than most I've tried, which I like. So many places pack a pound of cornstarch to thicken it and what you get is a gelatinous mess. Bottom line dont buy from this store. Let me tell you I am a fan of any nationality having a well run business. Today I was deeply upset at this store. I called and placed my order for pickup. I got there, and picked up my food, got home, and it was made incorrectly. First of all I ordered sesame chicken, there was NO sauce, and I mean zero, with maybe 5 tiny sesame's on it. I also ordered shrimp and vegetables. I opened up the container and it was chicken and vegetables. OK not happy but they made it wrong. So I called the store and talked to the person on the phone. I told her the situation, she said ok, come back to the store with the order, we will fix it and charge you more because the shimp costs more than the chicken. I was like "WHAT", I drive miles to the store and you get the order wrong and now you want me bring it back and pay the difference? So she panicked and gave me to the manager. I explained the situation, and she said in a stern voice. "I took the order and im not wrong, we have no error here". I was like ok, so your telling me I am a liar and did not order it correctly. She said yes. Well, I told her I was NOT happy about her calling me a liar and telling me I would have to drive all the way there, with the food, wait for it to be made, then pay more money? Well, I told her I would rather keep my order and never return. If the store is reading this, here is the way it should have been handled. The customer calls and tells you the situation. You say no problem I will make the shrimp and vegetables and have my driver deliver it to you at no charge. This is the way to keep long term customers. By giving your terrible response you insulted the customer and treated them like a dog. You dishonored your store. As i update this, my rating still stays at 4 stars. The food is really good and the portions are huge for the price. Again I really like the dinner specials....I had stopped ordering here for a while because it seemed they were skimping on the portions in the dinner special. But after about a year i finally went back...and the portions are back to the size they used to be. Also they added a few new menu items. One of the new items is the "baked pork buns". I think it is their take on a pork belly bun. Its by no means a pork belly bun...but it is tasty in its own right. This was one of the worst meals we have ever ordered. Called for delivery and was told 45 minutes. Hour and a half later I called and was told they were getting ready to prepare food. It did arrive 15 minutes later but chicken noodle soup was terrible- like low salt broth with spaghetti noodles in it with no chicken. I really want to like this place because of all the positive reviews; however, the food didn't meet my expectations at all. I would like to start off that the people are pleasant, and delivery is really quick. Portions are huge for the amount of money that you pay, which is not a lot, but the quality of food could be much more flavorful. I ordered boneless ribs, gen. tso's, szechuan chicken, lo mein, and cantonese noodle soup. The ribs were really tough to chew, the gen tso's had too much breading, the szechuan chicken was decent but could have more spices, and the cantonese noodle soup was not authentic (it was pretty much plain lo mein noodles with some pork and wonton soup). I'll give this place a try again when I'm back in Rochester, and hopefully I'll find dish I like from them! read more

I don't understand how so many people have such low standards as to give this place an average of 4.3 out of 5 (unless, of course, the positive reviews are fake). This is my second time ordering from them and both times they gave me MICROWAVED food. How do you charge someone fresh prices for reheated leftovers? I guess the average person doesn't know the difference between freshly wok-fried and microwaved (or maybe the positive reviews are fake?) Oh well. We ordered from New Yu House for our transitional NYE Chinese takeout. I have to admit I quite enjoy "Americanized" Chinese food (! Going against the grain here). I would say of what we ordered, there were definite hits and misses, egg rolls and lo mein really good, beef fried rice "meh", and crab Rangoon with potential, but the filling was way too sweet. We ordered hours ahead, anticipating they might be busy, and our order was ready exactly when we requested it. They also were happy to customize one dishes' spice level for our resident chili head, it really wasn't "hot" even by my standards, but it did have a little kick.
