Sometimes you need a donut from an old school donut shop, so we were happy to have discovered Yum-ee which isn't too far from home. Popped in around 8:30am on a Saturday and it was jumping, definitely come early if you're planning to go. They have a nice selection of glazed, custard, creme, and jelly filled. This place is cash only so be prepared. You can get a dozen of their more classic donuts for $12 or $1.35 each and the larger donuts (think bowtie, cinnamon roll, apple fritter) for $3 each. The donuts were delicious and the staff were super friendly. We will definitely be repeat customers. read more

Excellent donuts, great service, and SUCH kind staff who want to make you feel at home. Feels like your typical small town, warm and welcoming bakery. We drove 20 minutes up here one morning on a whim and mentioned it was our first visit so we would need a minute to look things over and they handed us a donut out of case to sample while we looked! Everything was amazing. Already cannot wait to come back with family and friends. read more

My husband has come to Yum-ee since he was a tot in the 90's and into the 2000's as an adolescent and the flavor is timeless. Love their varieties and that the woman who runs the counter has been the same for literally the span of my husband's childhood going into our own kid's life. Great family owned business for donuts. They have a nice variety and great staff. Get there early before they sell out and bring cash!

Outstanding donuts. Cash only, so be aware. Two tier pricing on donuts, 1st timers should ask about prices. As they are not very clear. No matter the price the quality makes it worth every penny. One of the best donut shops I have found, lucky for me I just moved nearby. I will be a regular read more

This is exactly what you picture as a classic local donut shop. The donuts taste amazing and are fresh every morning. Each style has the right balance of moisture, chew, and flavor. I tried the cake and yeast style and both were excellent. If you're near Sunbury, you've got to visit the Square and try this place. I'm visiting from St. Louis where we have tons of good local donut places and this one is on par with them. read more

Love their donuts!!!! I love going there for a quick stop, and their food is always so fresh!!!

i have not had a lot of donuts so I don't know how good they are compared to other donuts but they are really good if they are not the best but that's not my favorite part, my favorite part is the shop itself, the workers are super nice the shop has a eat in area and the donut variety is really good. Whenever I ever get donuts ever it's always at this place because one there's no other place (that I can think of) in sunbury that's fully for donuts and two there really good donuts and really nice shop. read more

This place has the best donuts that I've ever eaten! Check this place out, if you're ever in Sunbury.

Donuts are excellent and the women who run the store are always incredibly friendly and welcoming. They are especially kind to my young daughter and often will offer her a donut hole to eat while we are getting our order. Our favorite donut is the maple, cream-filled donut but all of their donuts are excellent. I strongly recommend arriving before 9:30 as they tend to have a more limited selection after that time. read more

Best donuts i have ever had and the donut holes are so good. Thr only bsd thing is that there is no seating but besides that everything is fresh because they make their donuts before they open that morning. read more

Delicious fresh made donuts!! I love that it's an old school style traditional donut shop. They make all of your favorites from childhood, not the new style crazy concoctions that contain everything but the kitchen sink. read more

yum-ee donuts hasn't changed a bit since i was a kid. it's a classic, friendly, warming environment with amazing donuts to offer. the service is always fantastic and the donuts are always fresh :) i often find myself here once a week read more

Their donuts are second to none! They are worth the 30 minute drive to get them. They are nice, fresh, tender donuts

It's hard to find a bakery that's open on Sundays - but it can be done. A steal at $6 for a dozen donuts, they offer all of the usual delicious suspects - honey dipped, long johns and donut holes ($1 a dozen). Fantastic place with an old fashioned feel, complete with an eat in counter. Definitely will go back again. And again. read more

We LOVE this little donut shop!!!! It's TRULY a "donut shop" -- the kind you NEVER find anymore!! And they have the BEST donuts EVER!!! I'd highly recommend this place if you like donuts at all! They have quite a variety and it's VERY popular with the "locals"... Many times when we walk in, there will be people sitting along the counter chatting away -- gives you a real "Midwestern small town feeling"! The donuts are ALWAYS "melt in your mouth" fresh & soft! My favorite is their cream filled "long john".... My husband likes the "cinnamon swirl" glazed and their coffee... My son likes their donut holes... This place is located right near the main "square" in Sunbury which is nice too -- you can take a stroll around the pretty square area afterwards. There's not much seating -- one booth, one small table plus counter seats -- but it seems adequate most of the time. ONE word of CAUTION -- they ONLY take cash or checks -- which is posted on a sign on their door -- but don't get "caught" without the necessary method of payment if you're craving donuts! LOL... They also have kind of goofy hours - some days they're open til 11 a.m., some days til noon (forget which ones are which now) -- but that's it -- am guessing since they aren't a "bakery" maybe they figure people only eat donuts for breakfast...?? You might also get a kick out of the irony that this donut store is located right next to a Curves.....! Gotta love it... :o) read more

AMAZING small town doughnut shop. Soft and fresh doughnuts! Get there early for the best selection. Where else can you get a dozen doughnuts for $6.00? No place else that I know of. I was in the shop and the woman behind the counter asked what I was looking for. When I told her I was hoping for a chocolate cream filled "long john", she said they hadn't filled any yet that morning and only had the vanilla cream filled at that time, but she went in the back and filled 4 with chocolate cream just for my order. Where else would do that? No place. Worth the drive for sure. A doughnut shop right out of Mayberry! Great small town treasure. Love it! read more

This is a great little "old school" donut joint. Line of barstools and a counter. One table that seats 4. Solid donuts and truck driver coffee. I love it. Donuts are really very good. Go try this place if you haven't. 100x better than the junk the box stores and chains are pumping out. Take cash and I think they take checks but not sure. No cards. read more

I needed volunteers to help pick up food at our local Johnstown food drive. When word got out that the donuts were coming from Yum-EE, I got more volunteers than had signed up! Yum-EE is the best! Absolutely the best in the area. The prices are low and the quality is high. They are very friendly

Decent donuts from an old school shop. Atmosphere is fun but the donuts themselves are no different than you would find from any chain. Service is fast but unpleasant. In all there are just too many other great options to be found in central Ohio. read more

Hidden gem. I brought them to work for everyone to try and now they constantly ask for them.

This is your typical old fashioned, hole in the wall donut shop. Been around for years and it's a lovely place. The only downfall is that they only accept cash and check, no card. But other than that, they are great. Their name is true to their treats!! read more

Wonderful donut shop on the Sunbury square, certainly nothing fancy, you won't find any hipster potato chip or bacon varieties, and that's fine by me, just really great fresh made donuts and coffee. Not really a regular donut customer, but every once in a while there is something so damn satisfying about that morning experience and this is the place to enjoy it. I love bringing my girls in here on Sunday mornings to let the mrs get an extra few winks and see the little ones' eyes widen with the options. None of that TH chain ersatz, just a simple counter, friendly smiles, some fresh donuts, and a ceramic mug with some warm joe. Gotta love this crew and their operation, keep it up guys! read more

I grew up in Sunbury and have fond memories of getting a dozen honeydew when grandpa would visit. It's been years but I found myself in Sunbury this morning and grabbed a couple dozen for a work meeting. Just remember they don't take plastic and aren't open in the afternoon. read more
