Previously they had flavors that were made fresh daily. However, now they make them and put them in containers and then scoop from containers. Their social media presence has gone significantly down under new ownership as well.

The store had cute fall decor outside, we took a photo in front of it & walked inside. It was 2 pm on Saturday. The lady working the cashier said they were closed as soon as I entered. (Google & Yelp have their closing time listed at 5pm). I mentioned that and asked if we can still get a sandwich made. She said no but we can quickly grab anything from the shelves to purchase if we wanted to. She communicated their hours had just changed & the girl who makes the sandwiches was finishing cleaning the meat slicer. She was polite but solid in the answer she gave. I felt disappointed that they didn't honor their advertised hours. Another couple came in as we were there and told the same thing. It made me wonder if the hours truly changed or these workers just wanted to go home early. I share this to advise to call ahead of time because they don't honor their posted hours.

Lots of patio tables outside, decent sitting area inside. They've decorated in a bright, fun way; I think this used to be a car dealership, but now it looks like a cafe on the beach. They have a couple of dozen flavors, and of course I had to try the root beer. I got a "root beer float," two layers of root beer ice with I think vanilla gelato in between. Good flavor, very cold, a nice treat. The "middie" size was about $4; that is probably a bit higher than the plain flavors due to the combination. Lots of interesting flavors, and I will be back on some hot summer days. I bet it will be a local favorite, and it's worth a little detour to try it out. Not far from the highway, near the 5-points intersection.
