green and white cookies in a box

Usually when we make trips North this bakery is closed by the time we arrive. Recently however, our timing was perfect. We love their cookies and were pleased to discover that they can be shipped to us in Tennessee. Had we known sooner, we definitely would have been having them shipped. Bakery is very clean and staff was friendly. We would definitely return and/or place an order for shipment in the future.

We were looking for a small dessert after a visit to the Shawshank Prison. It was the afternoon and they didn't have much left. I ordered a couple of cookies and the last maple nut coffee cake. I'm still not sure what is was. Everything was delicious. I just wish they had more to choose from. Parking was easy in the lot across the street.

This is mine, this is why they were out if you came after 9:30!

Another trip to Buckeye Bakery. Had no reason to go into Mansfield. We have the gas guzzler and this is 50 mi round trip! We got in around 9:30 on TUESDAY. They had only been open since 7 AM but already they were out of goodies. If you arrived after me, then they were now out of all danish, cinnamon rolls, and low on cream filled donuts. I bought 2 dozen of these goodies for $23. They are large enough to split with hubby so I can enjoy my purchase without too much guilt. This bakery reminds me of the ones around during my childhood. Nope, it isn't upscale like my favorite places in San Francisco. But Buckeye charges $11.50 a dozen, not the unaffordable $70-72 that those fabulous San Francisco places charge for their incredible treats. So I am happy. I close my eyes and I am a kid again. Friendly efficient service. The only downside, no poppy seed breakfast rolls. I guess the supply chain is weird on poppy seed.

Delicious bakery with adorable staff. Found this gem right across from the Carousel In Mansfield. It's worth a special trip from Columbus.

Still the best. One of my first favorite places to stop while in town. I usually call to have my goodies ready.

Great donuts, cookies and other sweet treats. Always fresh & delicious. You've got to try their chocolate or maple long John's.

Fantastic bakery, but only open Fri and Sat I believe. Right now they are closed for the winter…read more Anyone know when they open back up?

This is a local bakery that I found out about because someone knows I like bakeries and heard about…read moreit from word of mouth. There is no website and no telephone. I suspect it is cash only because it is operated out of an Amish residence. The goodies are appropriately labeled "home produced". They are only open Friday and Saturday until 5. When do they open? Who knows. Maybe 9 is a safe time. My friend arrived around 11. My friend got us a package of 4 maple cinnamon buns for $4 and a small apple pie for $3.50. The cinnamon rolls were light and fluffy to eat even though the package was heavy. Hubby and I split a roll but we arent big eaters. Store bought ones are denser. I liked these better. The apple pie, well you are now up against my mom who was Hungarian. My family had apple trees with several kinds of pie apples. No one ever could make a better apple pie than mom although Costco, with its crunchy apples, comes the closest. Still not everyone likes crunchy apples and this pie was nicely presented....just not Mom's. So many are looking for a good amish bakery and amish goodies. It is hard to find these places when you rely on word of mouth. I heard they have good doughnuts and lemon bars but again there is no website or phone. So bring cash and be flexible. And and only open Friday and Saturday!
