Wayne's Farm Market is quickly becoming an area institution , and with just cause !…read more Housed in a number of picturesque rural looking Buildings , surrounded by tractors and the like , This family operated business is a multi purpose Purveyor of all things country .... deli meats , fresh produce , Amish baked goods , jams, jellies , salad dressings , infused vinegars and oils , beef jerkies , Home made candies , a variety of cheeses , lots of fruits , pickles , cooking condiments and spices , butter and sour cream , Dried snack foods , soups in cans or dry mixes , a nice selection of home made meat , fruit , potato , pasta and vegetable salads and bins filled to overflowing with every vegetable imaginable ! Then there are coffees , teas , cocoas , powdered milks , fry pies , cakes , tarts , jelly and cream rolls , packaged ice cream fresh Hamburg , bacon , And pork sausages ,chitlins, crackle , teas , beer , wine , juices , milk , carbonated beverages , and an assorted array of Amish nic-Naks . In other areas of the fairly large and well kept property one may find bird seed , pet foods , vegetable plants , flowers ,baskets ,ferns , bales of straw , various sized stones , mulch , gardening supplies , bird houses , decorative lawn art , wind chimes , pottery , and vegetable seed packs amongst a variety of other outdoorsy Paraphernalia including pre-made garden sheds . At one time there were even land scraping services available , but that has recently been discontinued , The month of October is a delight , as the grounds are turned into a celebration of fall , with exterior hay wagon rides , and blow up jump houses , and a fully enclosed interior structure which contains a large maze built out of bales of hay . Also Inside , the kiddies will delight In riding rope swings , flying thru the air on zip lines , or sliding down two long plastic tunnels . There are even special areas for the tiny tots where loose corn pellets can be filled into plastic buckets with mini shovels , and a pretend cow can actually be milked. Finally a number of picture perfect photo opportunities are spread out thru/out the grounds with stuffed mannequins , straw horses , a giant scarecrow , pumpkin patches , height measuring cartoon characters and art pieces where you can poke your head thru holes to become part of a farm scene . And still , that's not all ! There are special tables dedicated to face painting and pumpkin decorating , and even a special area in which to celebrate kiddie birthday parties . Remember tho This festival takes place only once a year , and ONLY during the month of October ! Wayne's is a lively place staffed by polite clerks and knowledgeable docents , and its fall celebration a worthy precursor To the chilly months that lay ahead . My rating out of a max of 5 stars ... is my newly created 10 stars ! Visit the place and you'll see why ?

I suspect it is cash only because it is operated out of an Amish residence. The goodies are appropriately labeled "home produced". They are only open Friday and Saturday until 5. When do they open? Who knows. Maybe 9 is a safe time. My friend arrived around 11. My friend got us a package of 4 maple cinnamon buns for $4 and a small apple pie for $3.50. The cinnamon rolls were light and fluffy to eat even though the package was heavy. Hubby and I split a roll but we arent big eaters. Store bought ones are denser. I liked these better. The apple pie, well you are now up against my mom who was Hungarian. My family had apple trees with several kinds of pie apples. No one ever could make a better apple pie than mom although Costco, with its crunchy apples, comes the closest. Still not everyone likes crunchy apples and this pie was nicely presented....just not Mom's. So many are looking for a good amish bakery and amish goodies. It is hard to find these places when you rely on word of mouth. I heard they have good doughnuts and lemon bars but again there is no website or phone. So bring cash and be flexible. And and only open Friday and Saturday!
